  1. There are and were only a handful of party Democrats* for whose integrity I ever had any positive regard.

When she was a Democrat, Tulsi Gabbard was one of them, and I had a very high regard for her integrity. (Little wonder that she exited the party before long. Others include and included Alan Dershowitz (registered as an “R” now, generally due to the nauseating antisemitism in the Democrat Klan) and John Fettermen (still a Democrat).)

Anyway, I truly regret that she needs to do what she has to do, and I wish her and her husband all the best.

    * as contrasted with (wo)man-on-the-street Democrats, with whom I disagree but who, many of them anyway, do evidence integrity

  2. “And could be something about the deportation of illegal alien violent criminals.”

Which could be quite useful to the good, if only certain judges were to permit it:
    ScotusWire —

A federal judge has dismissed the criminal case against Kilmar Abrego Garcia for vindictive prosecution.

    Hans Mahncke —

This is an Obama “judge” claiming Abrego (Garcia) wouldn’t have been charged had he not been ordered to be returned, and instead of that being a totally self-evident point, the judge treats it as if it somehow justifies dismissing the charges. He wasn’t charged because he was gone. But once it was ordered that he be returned, the reason for not charging him no longer existed.

  3. “Taqiyya Qatarlson also claims the election was stolen by “mail in” ballots.”

I wish. I’d feel a lot better about our future as a nation if the Republicans learned to use the same dirty tricks as the Democrats, but I fear the accusation is just projection.

Seen the story about “petition gatherers” paying homeless people to sign the names of registered voters (not their own names) to ballot initiative petitions?

Think they only do that for petitions? Dream on.

  4. Well, I do not hate, but I am very concerned that Islam is afforded equal rights under the Freedom of Religion doctrine. I have concluded, after serious study, that Islam is a supremacist ideology and NOT A RELIGION.

  5. Regarding (5), how much does the FBI have to do with most crime? Isn’t it mostly local government’s responsibility? In New York City, murders are way down, but other violent crime is (rape and “felonious assault”) is basically flat versus 2025, and remains high compared to 2019.

There was a decent column in Bloomberg of all places (behind the pay wall) suggesting that persistent violent crime in NYC is attributable to bail reform, and specifically the “ban on preventive detention of suspects thought to pose a risk to public safety.” These are people with multiple arrests and mental health issues.

  6. “The entire “woke right” anti-Israel wing of the right (or supposed right; I really don’t think they’re on the right) is extremely upset at Massie’s loss, as is the left.”

What better proof of it being best that Massie is leaving?

“Why is Wisconsin trying to avoid federal scrutiny of its voting rolls? I think that’s mostly a rhetorical question:”

No ‘mostly’ about it. Hopefully being thoroughly investigated.

“I have concluded, after serious study, that Islam is a supremacist ideology…” RELIGION

A violently expansionist, homicidal, totalitarian ideology that wraps itself within a facade of religious pretense.
