Some leftists are celebrating the murder of a young woman in New York because she’s a bank executive
They celebrated the killing of Charlie Kirk. They made a hero out of Luigi Mangione. They were completely okay with the murder of a young couple who happened to be Jewish. And now some are celebrating the murder of a young mother who happened to have been a bank executive at Bank of America.
University of Pennsylvania grad Erin Piacenti, 32, of Chester, NJ, posted a touching photo only four days before her murder of herself smiling broadly while holding her infant and standing with her husband — and wrote how happy she was, the New York Times reported.
Piacenti, also a Fordham Law School graduate who ended up working for Bank of America, said in the post that she was grateful for getting five months off to care for her new daughter, according to the outlet. …
The banking exec was knifed to death by mentally disturbed mom of three Pamela Cisneros, 49, during a random attack Monday afternoon in the heart of Manhattan’s theater district. Cisneros also stabbed and wounded another passerby before cops shot her dead.
The perp had a known history of mental illness, so this case is also still another example of a failure of that system. The police tried to tase Cisneros, but the taser had no effect on her.

It’s bad enough that obviously homicidal people such as Cisneros are walking the streets. It’s horrific that anyone on the far left celebrates such killings based on the race and jobs of the victims. But this has been going on for quite some time. It’s the same impulse that led to the killing fields of Cambodia, which class enemies (including people who merely wore eyeglasses) were slaughtered:
Once the Khmer Rouge took power, they instituted a radical reorganization of Cambodian society. This meant the forced removal of city dwellers into the countryside, where they would be forced to work as farmers, digging canals and tending to crops. Gross mismanagement of the country’s economy led to shortages of food and medicine, and untold numbers of people succumbed to disease and starvation. Families were also split up. The Khmer Rouge created labor brigades, assigning groups depending on age and gender. This policy resulted in hundreds of thousands of Cambodians starving to death.

This meant teachers, lawyers, doctors, and clergy were the targets of the regime. Even people wearing glasses were the target of Pol Pot’s reign of terror.
This is also an impulse I recall from the terrorism in the US during the late 1960s and early 1970s. I very much doubt that our present-day young people of the leftist variety know much if anything of this history except perhaps to applaud it. And I also doubt that the Cambodian killing fields or the earlier war of the Soviets against the kulaks are widely taught in many of our US colleges, except perhaps to be excused and/or justified.
Most garden-variety Democrats probably aren’t applauding killings such as that of Piacenti or championing Luigi Mangione, but there’s a not-insignificant group of leftists who are. Plus, it is the case that a great many of those garden-variety Democrats routinely call for the murder of President Trump. There is a bloodthirstiness there that is chilling.
What I recall of Cambodia is that after the Khmer Rouge fell, villagers took its supporters out in the fields and executed them. Lefties should bear that in mind.

Then there are those Democrats who do not cheer publicly, but will confide privately they don’t mind the violence toward those they consider on the wrong side.

Something has gone very wrong in my relationship with my sister. I keep reaching out but the bare minimum comes back. I suspect politics is part of that.
I stepped very carefully with my leftist relatives in early July when I visited. All went well until my nephew’s wife lit into my husband about politics, out of the blue. She looked very unhappy in general, and a month later she served my nephew divorce papers without warning. She just wanted to vent her spleen, I guess. It didn’t work; my husband doesn’t take that stuff.
But there are families all over the country straining or breaking because leftist propaganda paints conservatives as evil.
The left suffers from homicidal ideation; can’t lock ’em up, untill they kill someone, and that is not a given.

That’s the way it seems nowadays. We had three young men (b. 1979, 1988, and 1988) among our proximate relations marched through the divorce courts between 2010 and 2018. All three capable young men, holding good jobs, and not drinking themselves stupid or banging other girls. None of them have much of a temper, either. At least two of the wives were sleeping around.
The number of TWANLOC (Those Who Are No Longer Our Countrymen), those we will be unable to live amongst or with, grows daily. As if they’re somehow going to become less insane.

Many of them are not OK. 10 years ago something happened. Something that at the time wasn’t even a derailment of the feminist freight train merely a detour, but boy oh boy did we or did we not see a reaction to the equivalent of a slow motion train wreck or what! Their overreacting betrayed them. Always dramatic, drama betrays.
Deep down in places they dont talk about at Oprah-endorsed book readings they were close, so close to a feminian-utopia (“feminian”, Kipling, “copybook headings”, look it up) of infinite grievance, excused accountability, and neverending praise for zero productivity. What could have been brushed off as a slight detour became an existential war requiring unknown female nobodies to emerge from nowhere to slander Kavanaugh and say Trump raped them, and so much more. The sisterhood mobilized in ways we’ve never seen and have yet to be disbanded.
Men, the people that actually make shit work, were walking away even before that. Now many – in recent news – are running. Paglia was right. Princess couldn’t deingn to collect the garbage. Many are prepared to live in grass huts to spite something, even if it’s themselves. Turns out it was, in fact, actually about the nail.

The growing gap between the life led by the economic elites and everyone else is producing a smoldering and dangerous resentment. The cheering for murderers is a symptom of it.

I am defining “the Right” as being Constitutional Conservativism and note that the violent fringe/alt/fake Right also has the same ideology as the Left: “We Know Best and the rest of you are in our way.” They only differ in the content of their “knowledge.”
We really need a three-prong division of Conservatives, Liberals/Centrists, and Progressives: each group should be comprised of people who have different theories of society and governance but are not out to murder their opponents.

And when the resources and options available to the upper class get far enough out of line with those of the commoners, esp. if the latter are trending down and the former up, the society begins to destabilize. The commoners question the legitimacy of the wealth and status, and if they conclude that it is illegitimate the situation can become explosively dangerous.
We’ve taken several steps down that road already. It’s no use, politically, to lecture against envy if the commoners perceive illegitimacy.
For decades, ever since the 1970s, the Western bipartisan ruling classes have presided over ever-accelerating immigration to undercut native wages and job security. They’re pushed weird, bizarre social agendas that undercut family stability and encourage dependency. They ignored and belittled the interests of the native working class. They visibly pushed policies that make the working class poorer and the ruling class wealthier.
No surprise that the result is simmering resentment. It fuels the DSA on one side and MAGA on the other. It’s a political fact of life that has to be addressed.

In the office in which I was working at that time, we had a woman who went out on maternity leave for some weeks. One of the older employees, a woman who was born in 1936 and died in 1998 found the whole business eye rolling. When her first child was born in 1959, she quit working. She returned to work seven years later. (“Now they want the government to pay for it”).

This woman was granted 22 weeks. Yes, bank executives have skill sets less readily replaced than ordinary wage earners like the women in my office. Yes, they have fringes that other people don’t get. Yes, they have higher salaries. These are not novelties.
