Nidal Hasan: the wheels of justice grind slow
Hard to believe that Nidal Hasan – aka the Fort Hood terrorist – is still alive. But perhaps not for long:
The Pentagon announced Monday night that Nidal Malik Hasan, 56, better known as the Fort Hood shooter, will be executed by a U.S. Army firing squad on a date to be determined by the Secretary of the Army.
The former Army major and psychiatrist fatally shot 13 unarmed U.S. soldiers and wounded 32 others during a deadly rampage on Nov. 5, 2009, at Fort Hood, Texas. He shouted “Allahu Akbar” during the massacre.
The shootings occurred inside a crowded medical building where soldiers preparing to deploy were waiting for medical exams and vaccinations.
It was the deadliest non-combat attack ever on an American military base.
Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell announced on X that “Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has recommended — and President Donald J. Trump has approved — death by U.S. Army firing squad for convicted terrorist Nidal Malik Hasan.”
The original recommendation when he was sentenced was for the death penalty.
Hasan was a terrorist act waiting to happen:
Retired Colonel Terry Lee, after working with Hasan, recalled the fatal shooting of two recruiters in Little Rock, Arkansas, greatly affected Hasan. Lee told Fox News that Hasan made “outlandish” statements against the American military presence in Iraq and Afghanistan, reportedly saying that “the Muslims should stand up and fight against the aggressor”, referring to American soldiers. Hasan expressed hope U.S. president Barack Obama would withdraw troops. He was frequently agitated and argumentative with other Army personnel.
Despite these problems, in May 2009, Hasan was promoted to major. In July 2009 he was transferred to Darnall Army Medical Center in Fort Hood, Texas, moving into the city of Killeen. Two weeks later, he lawfully purchased an FN Five-seven handgun. Prior to his transfer, Hasan had received a ‘poor performance’ evaluation from supervisors and medical faculty. Despite concerns, his former boss, Lt. Col. Ben Phillips, graded his performance as “outstanding”.
Why is he still alive? This:
Due to mandatory appeals and the military’s historical reluctance to execute convicts, USA Today noted in 2019 that an execution would still be years away.
My guess is that Hasan would just as soon be executed and that he would consider it martyrdom.

Rule 303 and then feed the feed the fishes. No grave, just gone.
Lt. Col. Ben Phillips is hopefully retired from the Army. What a butt-kisser, and a murder-enabler..
It better happen within 2 yeats, give the Leftists a chance who knows how it could end.
It’s unreal that he’ll get lethal injection. Even in the military, can we not have one g*ddamn institution that peppers with lead someone that deserves it? It’s literal tradition for pete’s sake, as well as being apropos.
The Brits exhibit extremely self-destructive and stupid political correctness when dealing with “Asians” and other favored groups. I thought we did somewhat better in that regard, but Nidal Hasan is our exhibit A for the excesses here. Thankfully, the MP that took Hasan down hit him in the spine and paralyzed him.
I am glad it is by Injection. Just don’t use TN drugs or people. Firing squad would be appropriate, but consider the mental pressures on those doing the shooting.
Considering the circumstances of his crime etc etc – what mental pressures would there be? There is a very long list of people who would gladly stand on that line.
Trump has authorized a firing squad. The formal date is supposedly to be announced by the Secretary of the Army. Let’s see if someone sues.
Thank you President Trump! Shoot straight men!
Why giving him the honorable death by firing squad? Because he was a commissioned officer?
Hang him
I’ll never forget the story of one of his victims, Amy Krueger. She was going about her life prior to 9/11. When 9/11 happened she told her mother she wanted to join the military to go after Bin Laden. Her mother tried to discourage her, saying something like “You’re not going to be able to do that.” She replied: “Watch me!”
Now I wonder how someone could organize to ensure that the murderer’s execution results in his not gaining martyrdom, not in a ‘cruel and unusual punishment’ way, but in a way that eliminates any doubt for the rest of Islam.
Is such a path possible? Maybe even without his awareness even to the point of death? But something that could be reported, after the fact. I’m not sufficiently briefed on the ways of Islam to understand how these things work, what the rules specify. Surely bacon grease on the bullets wouldn’t qualify.
I mean: With an act so heinous, and justice being served, why wouldn’t the Dept. of War ensure that martyrdom is out of the question?
Line ’em up. Squeeze ’em off. Red target pinned over his heart.
Little Kim used an AA gun to execute one he disapproved of.
The British in the Rajh used to strap the criminal to the muzzle of a field gun, one 12 pound shot, not a lethal injection.
Several million unborn babies have been murdered using state sponsored abortion, which is flagrantly applauded by so many, yet those same people get squeamish over the deserved execution of a cold-blooded terrorist. I can already imagine the throngs of leftist agitators massing in protest just prior to the day of execution. It’s a prime example of subjective morality. Another specialty of the left.
I think I will never forget watching the Army’s top general (I don’t recall his name at the moment) on the Sunday morning shows insisting that Hasan’s attack was workplace violence, nothing ideological or terroristic about it, etc. Sad.
”I will never forget watching the Army’s top general…on the Sunday morning shows insisting that Hasan’s attack was workplace violence, nothing ideological or terroristic about it.”
Even worse was the general who insisted “As tragic as this incident is, it would be even worse to lose our diversity.”
That sounds like something General “White Rage” Milley would say, the same traitor who had back chanel communications with the CCP in late 2020.
Rule 303 would be fitting for him, IMO.
I saw a ballistics gel demo on YouTube comparing the .303 British (7.7×56mm), the .30-06 Springfield (7.62×63mm) and the 7.92×57mm Mauser. The.30-06 was by far the most devastating and the 7.92 the least. The .303 was in between.
The wheels don’t need to grind this slowly. The man should have been in front of a firing squad ca. 2017.
”That sounds like something General ‘White Rage’ Milley would say…”
No, it was before him. It happened right after the massacre. General George Casey was the guy. Let me look…here it is.
On ABC’s “This Week,” Army chief of staff Gen. George Casey said that although what happened at Fort Hood was a tragedy, “I believe it would be an even greater tragedy if our diversity becomes a casualty here.”
The Army knew Hasan was studying jihad but let it go to maintain their “diversity.”

There’s no way to do that.
Mortals cannot overturn God’s Will. Islamists (or many of them, anyway) will see this execution as martyrdom of a moral hero. That is either objectively true or objectively false. If Hasan is a martyr, if the Islamists are right, then nothing whatever can make it not so. If it is not so, the nature of the execution cannot make it so.
The only way to prevent his execution as being seen as martyrdom by those who share his views is to not execute him.
It was indeed a tragedy that both Casey and Milley rose to that level of command, General Incompetence.
The 30-06, 7.62 NATO, 303, or 7.92 Mauser would all be more than adequate. It is a firing squad after all.
HC68 – Taqiyya. They lie to each other and to infidels.
Looking forward to his execution at halftime at the Cowboys/Eagles game. Fun for everyone! Bring the whole family!
