  1. It’s the Planet of People Wearing Hats. Lots of hats. Big hats, little hats, stylish hats, fedora hats and Panama hats . . . lots and lots of hats.

  2. It used to be the middle classes imitating the upper crust class.

Back then. But since the Boomer generation, it’s been the lower class setting trends.

So, what to make of the broken 35 years of rap music? Last October saw the last time it charted.

Did the cut-off of USAID (or CIA) money somehow cause this change?

And now that California’s leadership in trend setting is gone, and the ongoing death of Hollywood, what will replace it?

    God no! NOT (anti)social media.

  3. Having lived in Palm Beach County and having family in Palm Beach a lot of this film is Palm Beach not West Palm. The ocean is to the East of Lake Worth as in Mar(Sea) a Lago(Lake Worth.)

Worth Avenue is obvious and has NOT changed much.

The Railroad station was the FEC one closer to town – further out was the Seaboard Airline – that’s a train – I used to take it. Much nicer.

  4. I grew up in Ormond Beach in the 60s. It was odd in that one could see the ghostly remains of its time as a wintering resort for the Northern elites.

    John D. Rockefeller, that lot.
