New roundup
(1) And then there was one. Reality TV’s 16-year-long saga of a man with multiple wives ends with just one man married to one woman. And they’ve quit the show.
(2) It was a story that captured the news cycle for a few days: the rescue of the downed US airman in Iran. Now he tells his story:
BRAVO: “I will be thankful, to my dying day, for my pilot and crewmate, Alpha, for saving our lives and ejecting us.”
After they ejected, Alpha and Bravo found themselves 5 miles apart, separated and alone on the ground in the rugged Iranian desert. Alpha landed safely. Bravo was lucky to be alive. …
BRAVO: “My parachute was damaged in the initial attack. At one point when I looked up and saw no parachute, that was the most terrifying thing I’ve ever seen. So I paused, right then. And I prayed, ‘Lord, your will be done. But if I’m getting through this, I need help.'”
(3) I don’t think a whole lot will come of this:
The leaders of Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales will meet on Monday to discuss plans for the breakup of the United Kingdom, according to The Telegraph.
First Ministers John Swinney of Scotland, Rhun ap Iowerth of Wales, and Michelle O’Neill of Northern Ireland are expected to sign a joint declaration demanding the right to hold referendums on breaking away from the UK. For the first time, the three constituent nations of the UK are held by pro-separation parties.
The Telegraph reported sources as saying that the summit’s purpose is to pile more pressure on Prime Minister Andy Burnham after he said in the parliament on Wednesday that he would back another Scottish independence referendum if public opinion backed one.
I say I don’t think anything will come of it, except perhaps the exertion of political pressure. But I freely admit that internal British politics is not my forte.
(4) This is no surprise whatsoever. In fact, it was pretty much inevitable:
The new Charlie Kirk memorial at Turning Point USA’s Phoenix headquarters lasted three days before somebody decided even a statue of an assassinated conservative was too much to tolerate.
The eight-foot bronze statue, unveiled Thursday to mark one year since Kirk was murdered, was found Sunday morning covered in red paint. Vandals painted an X across Kirk’s face, sprayed red paint around his neck, and defaced a nearby religious memorial.
Ghouls.
(5) Scott Johnson of Powerline writes about the current investigation of Ilhan Omar. The Powerline blog has been closely involved with revelations about Omar’s activities – including the possibility/probability that she married her own brother with the intent to commit immigration fraud.
(6) A 61-year-old Canadian woman was legally and speedily euthanized in Canada without having any terminal conditions and against her grown daughters’ will. It’s a terrible story, and unfortunately this sort of thing is becoming more common there and in other countries that have legalized euthanasia.

The Communist Caliphate of the UK keeps hectoring Israel for a (2) State Solution.
Israel totally supports The UK’s Liberation Movement – the (4) State Solution.

Can we send Canada: AOC, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, Michelle Obama and the (9) women on the Clancy Jury? They are terminal mental patients and beyond medical hope.
A 61-year-old Canadian woman was legally and speedily euthanized in Canada
Much of the way I see the world is global elites + left + minorities vs US + Israel + Western conservatives.
With an emphasis on the global elites. The elites see ordinary people as a big problem.
“A 61-year-old Canadian woman was legally and speedily euthanized in Canada”
Coming soon to Australia. If not already done.
There seems to be an outbreak of “useless eaters” in Canada. It has been done before elsewhere.

When the state determines it is too costly to care for you, proactive measures.

Accurate enough, but you left an important one out: the elite Right. Who also are globalists, hyper-secular, and hostile to commoners. This splits ‘conservatives’ into different factions in practice.
The elite Left loves death for its own sake for people they despise (euthanasia, abortion, etc.), the elite Right sees people to a large extent as either profit centers or costs. An abortion is cheaper on the employee medical plan than the repeating costs of a child (plus an abortion leaves the mother free to work more often). Euthanasia is far cheaper than paying for medical support for the elderly and the sick.
Of course it’s become cliche (because it’s true) that the elite Left and elite Right both love and adore and want more uncontrolled immigration, they want a borderless world where capital and workers can move unhindered.
(Remember what Jack Welch said: “ideally, you’d have every plant you own on a barge to move with currencies and changes in the economy.” Meaning that ‘borderless world’ and ‘any willing worker’ to drive wages down. Profitable short term, suicidal long term, but it’s still the animating impulse of the elite Right.)
The precise reasons that the elite Left and elite Right support almost all the same policies are different, admittedly. The policies themselves are almost exactly the same on both sides of the ruling class aisle.
I said above that ‘conservatives’ are not a single clade. MAGA conservatives and ‘business wing’ conservatives are basically different, with different goals, different motivations, different values. This predates Trump. As far back as 2012, Republicans kept comforting themselves with a false hope based on the polling stat that (IIRC) something like 40% of the electorate called themselves ‘conservative’ but only half that liberal.
The problem (I knew it at the time, but even usually perceptive Republican pundits like Limbaugh were dodging it) was that that 40% split between working class conservative and business wing, and the former seriously did not want Romney. He embodied everything they had come to detest about the GOP, and then after he had the nomination he ran on ‘makers vs. takers’, as if he thought he was the hero in an Ayn Rand novel.
All the way back on 911, before the day was out business groups were pressing Bush II to reopen the borders and let the planes fly. Why? Their brilliant ‘just in time’, ‘borderless world’ business models had already run out of inventory and they were panicking. Screw security and public safety, get my inventory moving again!
We must not forget that the elite/business Right is just as much our opposition as the Left.

File this under; better to be a big frog in a small pond than a little frog in a big pond.
GB. That may be true up to a point. When the pool gets small(er), it can be pretty inconvenient. At least, in a bog pond, you might be able to become unnoticeable.

” Rhun ap Iowerth of Wales”: Surely Rhun is conversant in English and can be made to suit his appelation to that language!

Misleading quote without the context.
The actual context:
It is meant to be a warning.
In the 1930s Germany to be a “useless eater” was a death sentence. Doctors were useful, as in modern Canada.
“(6) A 61-year-old Canadian woman was legally and speedily euthanized in Canada without having any terminal conditions ”
