Update on tech stuff here
First of all, I finally got a new computer. It takes me a while to get used to tech change, and this is no exception. The good part is that it’s much faster than my old one, which was geriatric. But there are still glitches to be ironed out, plus the usual steep learning curve for me with tech stuff. It’s a Lenovo Yoga, by the way, for those who are curious.
I’ve also been working on the “too many requests” problem, as well as other issues that have plagued the blog for while. Basic cleanup. I’ve changed certain things and it seems to have helped, but time will tell. Let me know if you’ve been having problems.

Three years ago I replaced my decade-old Dell w Windows 7 for a Zotac mini-PC w Windows 11. The Zotac Mini ran fine for 2 1/2 years, until the Black Screen of Death began. After many fiddles and reinstalls, I came to the conclusion that the problem was that the Zotac did not come with the hardware that Windows 11 required, and the appropriate hardware could not be installed—though that hardware-deficient Zotac did OK for 2 1/2 years.
I tried two new inexpensive PCs ( Acer and HP), but they ran on Windows 11 Home, which I concluded was not worth the hassle. I ended up w a used Dell that had Windows 11 Pro—and also met the hardware requirements for Windows 11.
I’ve been rocking a Lenovo Yoga 7i with Windows 10 for five years with no problem. Which Lenovo Yoga model did you get?
Never heard of Zotac before.
Chrome Laptop + Windows 10 Desktop + 2017 Lenovo ThinkPad 10.1’’ w/Windows Pro 10, all still working.
Remember: no more computer destroying ballet posts that can ruin your online experience.

Or not at all.
Problems several days ago but not since.
A ‘Yoga,’ eh? Does it do exercises?
Congratulations on the new computer, Neo! I hope it serves you well.
Congratulations on your new computer. I recently bought a new computer with an INTEL I7 processor. It’s incredibly fast but impossible to upgrade because it uses HP proprietary power supply and connectors.
I’m unfamiliar with the Lenovo Yoga, so I looked it up. Touchscreen, I gather? I tried to use a touchscreen for a few days but just couldn’t get used to it.
Good luck with the new computer. I hope it works out well for you when you get used to it.
F:
Thanks. Yes, but I don’t use it as a touchscreen. I got it for other reasons. So far its most salient characteristic is that it’s light in weight and extremely fast. The latter is a big and welcome change for me.
There may be a latency or time feature for how often the VPN security plug in checks for a VPN as some times it blocks when my VPN is on and some times not

Yes, it’s a bit quirky. I haven’t yet figured out why, although I have some hunches. The whole thing is a work in progress at the moment, and I’ll be writing a post later today about what I’m planning.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
