West Bank church arson: who’s the perp? — 21 Comments

  1. Saw some odd footage today. An archaeologist was walking through a number of fallen stone walls which, she said, was the church in question. No sign of fire.
So…is the church a bunch of fallen stone walls maybe three feet high, or is it a functioning building?

  2. I’m very very tired of the MSM reporting anti-Israel news from Palestinians as though it’s the obvious truth, when it’s a lie that’s gotten halfway round the world very very quickly.

I saw a contention yesterday that when David Letterman retired, the median age of his viewing audience was 60; ten years later, the median age of Stephen Colbert’s viewing audience is 68. I’ll wager the age distribution of the nightly news is about the same. About 14% of the population is over the age of 68.

These stories are generally amplified and disseminated widely on social media and by podcasters.

  4. UK National Arson:
    It’s VERY clear who’s the perp…
    (BTW, it’s a team effort.)

    H/T Powerline blog, for both.

(Charles is the reason why Queen Elizabeth II, a genuine heroine—as was her mother—did her best to remain alive for as long as she could.)

  6. @Barry Meislin:The Islamophilia of King Charles

There’s an odd novel by G. K. Chesterton, The Flying Inn, written in 1914, about the Islamification of Britain, which starts with a temperance movement and ends with a Turkish invasion. A lot of what else is described in that book is what goes on today: that the people making the new laws and new rules set them up in such a way as to not be inconvenienced by them, and that in their turning away from Christianity they have no arguments left against Islam.

Victory over barbarians. Employment of barbarians. Alliance with barbarians. Conquest by barbarians.

  7. Not so odd, alas…

As an aside, it’s interesting that in Baring-Gould and Chesterton, Britain, over a century ago, produced some of the most formidable detective fiction that the world has ever known.

Seems that now, those who govern it would have tremendous difficulties trying to find their way out of a paper bag.

    (By intention, of course.)

  8. Barry — “Police escorting masked agitators toward peaceful protesters isn’t crowd control folks, it’s provocation”
Sounds familiar. Ie: the 2017 Charlottesville protests, which ended sadly with a dead young woman. Maybe because the police were directed to funnel both protests into each other.
Also created the “very fine people” hoax, demonizing Trump.

  9. Interesting.

I don’t know enough about the details WRT the incident at Charlottesville…but I’m convinced that J6 was most definitely an elaborately planned Democratic Party/FBI op.

  10. I used to believe that the TV series “The Crown” was unfair in how it portrayed Chuck as a whiny pussy.

  11. Heh. How ’bout this: ALWAYS blame the Jews–irrespective of whether or not there is any doubt.

  12. I’m just about finished listening to Salena Zito’s book “Butler.” It is not long, and she is a talented writer.

She was four feet from Trump when he was shot, and he called her seven times the next day.

She details how she watched the people of that region evolve from New Deal Democrats to working class Republicans. She knows every politician in PA and Ohio too, and both sides trust her and talk to her.

Well worth the time to understand how the electorate is evolving.

    Oh, for crying out loud.

  14. Knock knock

    Who’s there?

    Theophilous?

    Theophilous who?

    Theophilous Punnovall.

  15. Indeed, many did.

(As they did for her mother, “the most dangerous woman in Europe”….)

  16. Just finished ” Butler”. Good work all around, but the tone-deaf errors in the campaign by Kamala’s handlers are hard to imagine. You have to work to be that dumb?
