Tillerson on Trump
I haven’t reported on the rumors about Tillerson dissing Trump because, quite frankly, at this point I automatically tune such news out as gossip coupled with propaganda until it’s authenticated.
That means I have about fifty major “news” articles a day to ignore, which makes my task a little easier.
I’m not even sure whether Tillerson’s denials issued today are true, either. What I do know is that every single day the press is loaded with reports that this person or that person in Trump’s employ thinks Trump is a vile person and wants to quit, and the vast majority of these reports seem to fizzle out.
So, if you’d like me to cover that sort of thing more heavily, I’m sorry but I’m probably not going to. I’m tired of it and consider it mostly meaningless noise, although I am pretty sure that my liberal friends credit it with being true. That said, I haven’t discussed any of it with any of them. I think they’re pretty tired of this stuff, too.
It has reached the point that I only glance at the front page of my paper to count how many anti-Trump/anti-GOP articles (not necessarily the same) are there that day. I no longer subscribe to any national papers or magazines (unless Imprimis or CRB count). There are too many other sources for news and commentary.
There are certain mandatory daily stops on the internet– here, of course; Urgent Agenda; Manhattan Contrarian; Powerlineblog; Instapundit and Maggiesfarm for commentary. I think all of those sites are reasonably balanced and credible. Skim Fox News and Drudge for headlines. I think that takes care of it.
I would welcome a couple of suggestions from other’s favorites.
I have no idea how well Trump and Tillerson are personally getting along. But each has made public comments that indicate that they are not of one mind. Tillerson works for Trump not the reverse but Tillerson is IMO not working to implement Trump’s agenda. It’s deceitful and dishonorable for a highly placed member of any administration to work at cross purposes to their President. I suspect that to be the case with Mattis and Kelly as well and am satisfied that is absolutely true of McMaster.
Well…. djt is handicapped. He does not truly understand the ‘swamp’. His many years in the real estate biz and ‘reality’ tv has not prepared him to deal with the backstabbing and pay to play corruption inside the beltway. But then, anything outside of flyover country is suspect to me.
I’m tired of this palace intrigue coverage, too. The press appears to have decided to cover the Trump WH as if they were a celebrity gossip blog. They are diminishing themselves and their industry as much as the executive branch. For example, the open glee on twitter after triggering the HHS Price resignation was telling.

The MSM long ago reached the bottom of the barrel. Professionally, it’s not possible to sink any lower than the depths they’ve embraced because there’s no lie too low for them, no lie too depraved. Every day they bear false witness against the innocent. Once someone advocates the restricting of inalienable rights, they’ve forfeited all rightful claims to being an American.
Fake news. All part of the campaign to distract the President and his Administration. The gossip and snark is backfiring.
Trump v. Tillerson, that is a tough relationship. Tillerson is an international personal powerhouse by virtue of his two decades as Exxon CEO. He knows all the powers-that-be on first-name basis, both the good and the rotten.He has supped with them, whereas Trump has mostly not.
Tillerson’s net worth is some $300,000,000. Trump is only a single digit billionaire, so they’re in the same league. Both are alpha males, both have made grubby deals with grubby players. There will necessarily be some differences in style, tactics and strategies in dealing with common foes.
Trump effectively cannot fire Tillerson. He can at best hope that Tillerson will gradually bring DOS to heel.
They will come to understand one another as a bulldog does an Alsatian. Each can kill the other. But they must turn with one accord against the common foe, the Alsatian going for the throat, the bulldog crushing the tibia without releasing the horrific crushing bite.

Trum is used to firing people, he doesn’t like or approve of. Or using the legal system to hound them. Or having loyal Clan based allies to do his work, via delegation.
All of which are not tools he is able to easily obtain in DC. My proposed solution was for him to staff DC with his clan loyalists, whether family related or just his former allies, irregardless of competent level. This is a stop gap measure for a few years, to oppose Hussein Obola’s DC strategy of putting all his buddies and allies in key positions (like a coup de tat).
Trum is also used to having the biggest money cash sack, to bribe or leverage people. In DC, Trum’s personal fortune is a paltry sum compared to the child prostitution, snuff blackmail videos, and other bribes going on. Much higher level “entertainment” than whatever Trum’s money can provide. Normally, of course, Trum’s connections with casinos and what not, could entertain many guests, but DC has a peculiar…. taste.

This sort of story, Tillerson called him a ‘moron’, is high school gossip quality reporting.
As to the report that Trump and Tillerson have discussions, perhaps occasionally heated ones, about policy is the sort of system Trump set up. Wouldn’t he have hired someone else if all he wanted was to implement what he’d already decided? And, if Trump is, as has been said many times, uneducated and undecided about the specifics of certain policies and positions, isn’t spirited debate a good way to learn so as to make a decision?

‘spirited’ or ‘heated’ is not good debate, because emotions like anger are a component. Sticking to facts, repeated ad nauseam, is probably better.
Ymar’s “Trum” use indicates a serious inferiority complex issue in Ymar. He undoubtedly thinks himself clever in his disrespect by leaving off the “p”. His comments occasionally verge on the unintelligible. I mostly ignore him, as I am sure he does me.
I think its a true report. Tillerson is angering many in the State Dept by cutting staff and bloat, which we are told is Trump policy. But his boss continues to be all over the place and fails the most basic managerial tasks like talking to his people. The astonishing thing is that Trump needed to have a drill sergeant type like John Kelly to make sure he didn’t spiral out of control. No clear message is sent on any policy item to the cabinet. How can someone “follow orders” if there are no clear orders to follow?
Frog: I agree that inserting emotion in a debate is usually counter-productive. They are humans though, so when discussing what might be done, which will include some speculation rather than simply enumerating facts, I suspect emotion finds its way in, especially on matters of importance that they care about.

Snorts. Priest dogma fanatics always think like that about other people’s dissent and stylistic differences. Instead of holding Trum accountable, they have to go find some external threat to harass or blame, to make themselves feel good. That’s why I told voters in 2015, that if they elect a King, the King owns them and tells them what to do, they don’t get to tell the King in DC what to do, the way they kept claiming they had the power to as justification for backing the Alt Right in hijacking the second primary US party.

If I ignored ignorant Leftists or other people in the dark, I would never have been in a position to tell you about the Leftist alliance in 2014-2015 here Frog. And that is one of the reasons why you even jumped on the Trum bandwagon to begin with.
It must have been quite shocking to hear what was really going on in this country, and the Alt Right corroborated much of my claims. That’s why Frog’s position became a sort of loosely retired moderate balance from 2012-2014, to some kind of rabid fanatical nationalistic supporter of god kings and omniscient Doctor Classes in 2015.
Some potential Trum supporters consider the usage of funny names and nicknames and non standard spellings for people like Hussein or Trum, to be childish or immature. These are divided between the national Alt Right supporters, who make fun of Hillary Wicked Witch of the West, Rocket Man, and Hussein Obola, while ensuring that their Dear Leaders gets some Respect, and the people who just think this modern style is childish and immature no matter who uses it against whom.
In other words, the United States used to be a nation that could make fun of its leaders, and people considered this a part of free expression. The Ctrl Left and the ALt Right no longer accept that as valid, however. There’s no Constitution for them to defend any more, because they don’t believe in the principles behind the founders.
It was a litmus test against Leftists, when people made fun of Hussein. This was to weak the authoritarians who worshipped at the President’s feat, because he was a black non nigger that talked good and had style. Bush II also had his own fair share of ridicule and jokes, and people who called that un American or treasonous or a mental disorder, were looked down on. After all, Bush Derangement Syndrome started when people wanted to kill him, and who thought he was still in power in 2010, because they excused President Hussein’s actions.

What makes religion special is that there are self proclaimed christians like om here, who act like they are part of a cult that makes them superior. They don’t like it when I reduce them back to their fundamental levels.
