The EU is in trouble — 18 Comments

  1. “The most puzzling development in politics during the last decade is the apparent determination of Western European leaders to re-create the Soviet Union in Western Europe.”
    ― Mikhail Gorbachev

“With Yeltsin, the Soviet Union broke apart, the country was totally mismanaged, the constitution was not respected by the regions of Russia. The army, education and health systems collapsed. People in the West quietly applauded, dancing with and around Yeltsin. I conclude therefore that we should not pay too much attention to what the West is saying.”
    ― Mikhail Gorbachev

    Different names same outcomes…

  2. I hope the EU collapses because I think it is corrupt beyond saving. And that apart from the fact that the EU seems to be at war with that which united Europe, that is Christianity.

That said, the EU is sick because the national governments and societies, especially and perhaps exclusively the “Western” ones, are sick to the bone.

Well, here is to hope. Anything is better then this slow death of Western society. And who knows, it may get better. The Left may loose its power and pigs might fly (*).

  3. The EU basically boils down to being Germany’s attempted and largely successful non-military conquest of Western Europe. Once again, Britain may rise to the occasion, but I rather think that will not be enough.
The EU is a monster of bureaucratic regulation. The National Socialists have won after all, just by changing a few stripes and playing nice. France is in the same position viz-a-viz Germany as in 1942.
Secularism(anti-Christian) is in effect. Muslims are good.
Merkel speaks: “You vill take dese migrants” (for future labor) and Europe says “Heil.” Except for brave Poland and Hungary, just like before.

  4. If there is “a great deal of ruin in a nation”, how much more in a region? The EU is likely to limp along until an Islamic flag is raised above it.

“Breitbart London reported on a similar case in Germany (“German Swimming Pool Lifts Migrant Bather Ban After Left Wing Pressure, Just 24 Hours After Four Children Are Molested”), where the Bornheim pool banned migrants as a preventative measure after groups of men harassed women bathers, vowing to keep the ban in place until the men living at a nearby migrant centre had learnt how to behave. Just days later the pool caved to leftist pressure from local legal and social groups and threw open their doors again.”

Europe is toast, the fat lady simply hasn’t sung yet.

  5. Failure to reconcile individual dignity, intrinsic value, and natural imperatives, including normalization of pro-choice/abortion, class diversity schemes, and transgender congruence constructs have consequences predicted by history, religious/moral philosophy, and known characteristics of evolutionary processes. Of course, we must also note that subversion from within is insidious, and the Europeans may have been genuinely surprised by accelerated anti-native policies following Obama et al creation and progression of the “refugee crisis”.

  6. Geoffrey Britain:

The female chauvinists have sung their ballad, and the women were taken by the Siren song. So, they aborted their Posterity, they worked for the tax collector, and they destroyed their families and relationships.

The men, for their part, were enticed and blinded by the Marxist concept of benefits without risk. Everyone wants to be a Peter Pan, but then it manifests as a syndrome, and you’re reduced to a clump of cells, sperm deposit, taxable commodity, etc.

  7. Denmark is Europe’s Iowa.

It’s simply amazing how often trends start in Denmark – which really is a city state.

( Granted that Iceland, Norway, Sweden and Finland are all city states. )

Denmark has already begun to push back against the hijrah.

    With baby steps.

I believe we’ll see border controls fully implemented at the é˜resund international bridge.

Malmo, the Swedish terminus, is quite overrun with Muslims. So, it’s a no-go city for women.

It is largely un-policed, quite the dystopia.

Merkel and her ilk think that a million Muslims can be placed around Germany — and they’ll be no trouble.

Whereas the universal pattern has been one of oil-spot dislocation — and White flight — whenever Muslims show up.

Muslims don’t blend in — at all.

They dot the nation in exclusive enclaves — fashioning ghettos for themselves — and quite deliberately, too.

Once it’s possible, petty and violent crime just explodes.

And all the natives flee. This only takes Muslim fractions as low as 3% — as the Muslims are virtually all military aged males.

So their street-goon power is as if they were 30% of the adult population.

While their White peers are off working — these louts roam the streets harassing the weak, women, and all children.

    It’s what psychopaths do.

    It’s what Mohammed commands.

  8. blert,

1 million is just the tip of the iceberg. Some estimates are placing another 10 million on the way…

  9. Silly Leftists, such hubris “We can set up the most perfect most ideal society, we will include absolutely everybody of every ilk , & persuasion & we will be sure to especially ignore
demean & deride the successful contributions that have brought Western Civilization this far because those people
we’re not perfect like us elites”!
There is an identical strain in the US, Obama’s like minded who malign the Constitution & boast ” We can do better than.this Constitution , it dozen t mention women & -blacks,or gays or single mothers, or asylum seekers or border crossers, or the relatives left behind, or the transgenderd or children that identify as their opposite gender..” & on & on !!!! whoa wait till this catches on you think you ‘ve seen regulations ????

  10. Not to worry. Europeans will solve their problems by using their “go-to” strategy. They will,as always, blame the Jews.

And this time they’ll add Israel.

    What can possibly go wrong?

  11. I see a future where Europeans reach a tipping point with a choice of surrender to sharia or an ugly (but well deserved) backlash against leftists and muslims alike. We are already seeing revolts against the masters in Brussels and Berlin. Poland, Hungary the Czechs, Denmark, and rumblings in the Balkans, Austria, and even Sweden point toward an eventual backlash. IMO the EU will collapse rather quickly, two years at the most. Nationalists will first rule the streets and then the ballot box.

But then, I tend to be an optimist.

  12. When people start being more paranoid than me, that’s when people might want to start worrying.

  14. “St. Paul school kisses Valentine’s Day, other ‘dominant holidays,’ goodbye”

Celebrations of Valentine’s Day and the other “dominant holidays” are ending at one St. Paul elementary school …

Principal Scott Masini of Bruce Vento Elementary School, whose student body is overwhelmingly nonwhite, explained in the letter that “my personal feeling is we need to find a way to honor and engage in holidays that are inclusive of our student population.

… Masini noted, “I have come to the difficult decision to discontinue the celebration of the dominant holidays until we can come to a better understanding of how the dominant view will suppress someone else’s view.”

Masini said there will be no cards or treats brought to school to mark Valentine’s Day.

The letter listed the holidays that the East Side school will no longer celebrate as Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Valentine’s Day. Masini said the decision was made in consultation with his staff.

“One of the concerns that I have,” Masini wrote, “ … is whether or not this practice is encroaching on the educational opportunities of others and threatening the culture of tolerance and respect for all.”

…Masini: “I’m struggling with this … celebrating some holidays and not others is not inclusive of all of the students we serve.”

In May, a conservative education watchdog website posted a photo of a KKK hood that was displayed during a teacher training session. Below the image were the words: “When do you wear the hood?”

“ ‘The principal allegedly displayed the picture and asked the staff to sit in silence and reflect on it for 3 to 4 minutes,” according to EAGnews.org.

Masini’s e-mail response to the website read, “The hope was that by doing the activity … that we could change any practices at our school that were unfair to students. I also thought we were ready to take this deep dive into a difficult conversation on race, white privilege, and practices that don’t serve all students. The image that was provided to you was completely taken out of context.”

And so on, and so on.

Now why do I give this link. Well, as some counter-poison, call it retaliation to the Pharisees.
My own comment made my feelings on what the EU has become perfectly clear I think. If you don’t see the similarities with the actions of Fuhrer Masini and what the EU has become, well …

Ps. The EEC wasn’t bad, it just became so thanks to the 68ers. The EEC wasn’t a conspiracy.
“In 1957, Belgium, France, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and West Germany signed the Treaty of Rome, which created the European Economic Community (EEC) and established a customs union. They also signed another pact creating the European Atomic Energy Community (Euratom) for co-operation in developing nuclear energy. Both treaties came into force in 1958.”

Pps. “Britain may rise to the occasion”, Yep, like when Labour imported a couple of million muslims years before the insanity of Merkel, or when they covered up the grooming gangs.

  15. The EU is more or less the scapegoat for a lot of european critics, completly ignoring that most problems were home made. Take for example France: The low performance of the economy and the high unemployment were a direct result of the protectionism in the past, which crippled the competitiveness of the economy. And i would guess, that an end of the EU would lead to a couple of state insolvencies, especially in southern and eastern europe. An economical crises would be certain an there would also be a surge of extremistic groups.

A break up of the EU could more or less resemble the break up of the Ausrian-Hungarian State 1918.
