I found it scary. Given the divisions in the country I expect the next election to be close no matter who the Democrats nominate.
How can Sanders find any position further to the left than HRC ?
How ?
Hrc is in the race for power, revenge, and money. Sanders is in the race for utopia.
Chuck:
I think it will be close although it shouldn’t be.
The general liberal culture and ouvere gives the Dems a huge advantage. Many of the people there were nice but just misinformed. The culture just sucks them in.
2016 may end up being close, but I doubt Hillary will be the Democratic nominee. She’s bleeding from more than a few self-inflicted wounds and others not so self-inflicted; I think she’s still in the ring at Obama’s leisure, and he is just biding his time before pushing Biden into the ring and finally torpedoing her.
Her ambition and other personal pathologies may well have blinded her to the threat posed by Obama, a man at least her equal in sheer spite and vindictiveness. This fight is personal for the both of them, and I’d give Vegas odds to Obama just on the strength of his position and her political ineptitude. Bill can’t save her at this point, and once Biden’s officially in the race Sanders will quickly become road kill….
Sanders will become road kill? The size of his rallies and appearances has been eye-opening. This country has a sizable percentage of people (all in the democrat party) who think socialism sounds very good. I expect him to be a bigger problem in the primary than most pundits think.
Should he become the nominee, I expect the country at large to reject him but not in the huge numbers that Reagan defeated Mondale. (Another very far left candidate.) This country is no longer center right. It is almost evenly divided. Every vote counts now.
@JJ I agree with you that sanders cannot win nationally his crowds in NE have been impressive but he reminds me of the wizard of oz, he s behind the curtain of a huge fake out.
Hillary, I hate her more every day that goes by, all that BS about helping the middle class & her history of harassing & ripping apart those women that her predator husband assaulted, so disgusting !
Get this. The young woman who sat next to me at one time backed Trump.

Actually, blert, Hillarity! is running to the left of Bernie. Now that’s scary.
Sorry, blert, I misread your post. Just ignore my previous comment.
Been watching a lot of Trump recently and am convinced he would crush Hillary for three reasons.
First, he would relentlessly attack Hillary in language everybody would understand, essentially doing to her what the media routinely does to destroy people.
I don’t think any other candidate has either the inclination or the ability to employ the vicious attacks required to destroy her. And she needs to be destroyed.
Second, the attacks will be so fact based and so dramatic, so varied and so correspondent to her public image, that Democrats will be demoralized by the truth. I am guessing Hillary starts out with a not inconsiderable segment of Democrats who would sit home if she is the nominee.
My third reason is based on an observation Rush made a couple months ago. He said (based on his personal experience) with Trump what you see is what you get. In the many hours I have now been watching Trump, that observation strikes me as true.
When the 4th wall is broken well the effect is charming and has a conspiratorial thrill.
Trump breaks the 4th wall of politics by (apparently) being himself, and “himself” seems to be what you see is what you get and all that implies. Let me tell you (for an example), when Trump says Bergdahl ought literally to be shot as a traitor, Trump speaks to something deep inside me which is unspeakably happy to even hear the words.
A corollary to reason three is the effect on black people. I am convinced that a 4th wall (so to speak) has been built up between white people and black people. White people and black people (yes, I recognize I am generalizing) are not themselves with each other to mutual unintended detriment. They (both races) have been propagandized and manipulated into a standoff.
Trump being himself (here is a intuitive guess) will appeal to black people and it will significantly affect their vote (which does not need to be a lot to be significant).
Interesting how Trump matter-of-factly attacks the media as dishonest liars. There is a lot of psychological power in this line of pursuit, again with numerous implications.
Strangely, Trump because of his personality seems to have more teflon by far than any other candidate, especially including Hillary.
The Hillary strategy is the same tedious, phony, rankling strategy employed by Democrats and the leftists always and everywhere: SHUT UP. It has been the highly successful strategy bizarrely paralyzing American through propaganda and manipulation.
Trump will not shut up, and he will not shut up in the right way by (among other things) taking us into his confidence.
Hillary will not be the nominee.
She will be indicted.
And then pardoned by Barack on his last day in office.
Cornhead: Funny, in his speech yesterday, Trump off-handedly suggested that Hillary’s disloyalty to BO on TPP might be the event which gets her a Menendez indictment. (He did not say Menendez, I am).
How wonderfully satisfying that would be, although the nemesis of a crushing loss and then indictment (which Trump suggests he would pursue) would be better.
When the Left consolidates their power over science and the public conscience, guess what their next target after HRC will be.
I suspect that Biden would immensely prefer for HRC to tacitly drop out of the race. ( privately concede and abet his play )
It’s too early for her to drop out with such a high standing in the Democrat polls…
Even though their trajectory is straight to Hell.
Her inner circle, naturally, can’t figure out anything. Her collapse is their collapse. They will become political ‘lepers.’
Just look at their track record.
They backed a zombie.
The campaigning dead.
if her heart has a spark — it’s because its flinty.
It’s not looking up for the superannuated, shrill, harpy.
The Republic may yet be saved.
