D’Souza gets a defender — 8 Comments

  1. Sorry, this is prosecutorial misconduct, regardless of who is instigating it, the prosecutor has the authority to determine whether or not to proceed with charges, and what kind of charges to pursue. It’s at the very least an abrogation of responsibility to buffer the court system from unseemly influences.

  2. Don’t forget about the RIAA/MPAA/ISP alliance that started in 2008.

Now Chris Dodd gets to decide who is a pirate or not, while his cronyies like Obama get to redistribute your wealth. To their own bank accounts.

  3. “I’m a big of supporter. I think he’s doing a great job, but this is a mistake,” Mr. Dershowitz said

    I’ve heard that before.

    Guards, just doing their jobs.

We were just doing what we were ordered to do. We didn’t know what was really happening in the camps…

They will Obey once they have their Orders.

  4. I think Mr. Dershowitz is sympathetic to Bharara because of his record of prosecuting other Democrats in New York. This implies impartiality (maybe), which is a definite virtue in a prosecutor.

However, that’s all small-ball. The real test of virtue comes when you are offered a ticket to the big-leagues…if you just compromise “a couple” of your principles.

Reminiscent of the Churchill quote: We know what Bharara is, and now we see what is his price.
