It makes me think that it may be a better option if this substantial population of Christian Arabs were to somehow be assisted to secede from their Arab Muslim oppressors, and made into independent client states of Israel. I guess the Muslims would no doubt see them as “crusader states,” and so be it. But, it would seem that this population is at least in the same (or worse) situation that that which was alleged that the Muslim Kosovars were in under Serbian control. Maybe it would be better for these populations of Christians to detach themselves from the Muslim societies they are lumped into (ala Kosovo), and instead ally with Israel… and add the Druze and other minority sects to this equation as well.
If the Islamists can claim the Israel, the Iberian peninsula, and parts of India all because these were former Muslim lands, why should this same formula not be applied the other way as well?

Let’s keep it simple…. we are engaged in a conflict of radical Islam versus western civilization. This conflict began about 13 centuries ago and in modern times can be delineated by the fall of the Ottomans. I’m of the bomb ’em all and let allah sort ’em out school; but what do I know?
Sometimes I think because the Big Lie has been accepted about Israel (that they are the aggressors and poor little PLO is the victim) that a full night of deception has, in some transcendental way, been decreed. Some points of the Big Lie: Arabs and Jews lived in peace in the past. Palestine was an Arab nation. Palestine was a nation. There was no Arab immigration into Palestine before 1948. Arabs supported the Allies during WWII. Israel started terrorism. There was no place for Arab refugees. There still are refugees. No Arab nation persecuted any of their Jews when Israel became a nation. It wasn’t the Jews that brought economic activity and employment to Palestine. Arabs might migrate but not Palestinian Arabs.
And now, we follow Britain’s past ugly policy of pretending to support the right of the nation of Israel to exist. Will we end up doing things like sending fleeing Jews back to the death camps?
The debacle was bound to happen some time. Mubarak would have died of old age, and the succession to one of his sons would have been no more guaranteed than if the revolution had never happened. Contrary to conventional wisdom, the man in the Muslim street wants shariah law, so that’s what would have happened even if the revolution had never taken place.
Conclusion: The focus on the Islamic world itself is, has always been, premature. It is far better to concentrate on keeping Islamic colonists off the non-Muslim homelands than wasting huge resources abroad, in the Muslim bases.
Whether the easy way or the hard way, this will be understood one day. I predict that the hallmark of the 21st century will be mass deportations. I hope so, because all the other alternatives are far worse.

It makes me think that it may be a better option if this substantial population of Christian Arabs were to somehow be assisted to secede from their Arab Muslim oppressors, and made into independent client states of Israel. I guess the Muslims would no doubt see them as “crusader states,” and so be it. But, it would seem that this population is at least in the same (or worse) situation that that which was alleged that the Muslim Kosovars were in under Serbian control. Maybe it would be better for these populations of Christians to detach themselves from the Muslim societies they are lumped into (ala Kosovo), and instead ally with Israel… and add the Druze and other minority sects to this equation as well.
If the Islamists can claim the Israel, the Iberian peninsula, and parts of India all because these were former Muslim lands, why should this same formula not be applied the other way as well?

Some points of the Big Lie: Arabs and Jews lived in peace in the past. Palestine was an Arab nation. Palestine was a nation. There was no Arab immigration into Palestine before 1948. Arabs supported the Allies during WWII. Israel started terrorism. There was no place for Arab refugees. There still are refugees. No Arab nation persecuted any of their Jews when Israel became a nation. It wasn’t the Jews that brought economic activity and employment to Palestine. Arabs might migrate but not Palestinian Arabs.
And now, we follow Britain’s past ugly policy of pretending to support the right of the nation of Israel to exist. Will we end up doing things like sending fleeing Jews back to the death camps?
The debacle was bound to happen some time. Mubarak would have died of old age, and the succession to one of his sons would have been no more guaranteed than if the revolution had never happened.
