Sophia: walking the walk
For those of you who mentioned the inimitable Loren walk in the comment thread the other day, here’s another scene from “Marriage, Italian Style”:
While we’re at it—there’s also the Loren glare. Same movie, same character, some years later:
Raquel Welch also has a walk that attracts the eye. And like Loren she remains very attractive in her 70s. 1 million BC was not so long ago. 😉
Looking at the equipment, so to speak: Loren’s smile shows a great many teeth–suggesting big smile–without all the facial rictus we see in some people smiling broadly.
Also, her eyes are canted to her right as far as they can go, which people rarely do until they’re getting ready to turn their heads in some kind of surprise.
In the old days of stage plays and you can see it in early movies, actors would turn their eyes as far as the could, even to a painful extent, to allow the whites to show. Sometimes that was to indicate they were attending to the side without turning the head, but since many had great profiles, that isn’t usually a problem. It was to get some shining brightness.
Technique, technique….
parker:
Raquel Welch has had a lot more work done than Loren.
Or, she’s had a lot more obvious work done than Loren.
They do both look good for their ages, though.
