“Christopher Nolan Says Ending of Homer’s ‘Odyssey’ Is Too ‘Misogynistic’ to Adapt Faithfully”
Hollywood can’t die fast enough.
Christopher who? Another one bites the dust …..
Heh, is it possible that Nolan doesn’t seem to even understand the story…?
(Though to be fair, Harold Bloom famously insisted that “misprision”—i.e., misunderstanding**, in his case literature—can lead to some pretty interesting, even illuminating, results….)
** “Misunderstanding” can also mean “responding”—in a kind of Freudian sense—to others (to one’s elders or models, antecedents or heroes) that one hasn’t truly or fully understood…such that it seems that one can make a significant impact—and even lots of money(!?)—on such “misunderstandings”…
which raises the question: is it possible to “truly or fully” understand ANYTHING?

I can’t hear what Nolan said because of the soundtrack ……
It was a problem with “Interstellar” too.
Or was it the roar of Hollywood burning money?

Hey, Medicaid & Part B doesn’t cover my Medical Marijuana either. I also have a Tadalafil 5mg Tablets prescription (pee trips cut from 3-5 trips a night down to 1 – or occasionally 2 trips) that neither pays for – thank goodness for GoodRx @ Walgreens!!!
