Roundup!
(1) Don’t get too excited about the Adam Schiff mortgage fraud case, says Ace.
(2) Alan Dershowitz says there’s no Epstein client list that’s being suppressed:
Alan Dershowitz says it’s *NOT* Trump Admin that’s hiding Epstein info — it’s judges.
“Many of the things that are being suppressed are being suppressed by two judges in Manhattan.”
“The judges have issued orders — which is why I can’t disclose things I’d love to disclose
He added that there is no client list.
“What there is, is a redacted FBI affidavit from accusers. There are several of them. From accusers, that accuse Jeffrey, that accuse various people of having improper sex. And that has been redacted. The names of the people accused have been blacked out.”…
“Pam Bondi and the Justice Department under Donald Trump are not responsible for that. I don’t know of any information that they could disclose that they haven’t disclosed. Now, maybe there is some. I’m simply not aware of it. And so I think it’s important to place the blame where the blame deserves to be placed.
“The vast majority of people who are in the file, and I know them all, I’ve seen all the names. The vast, vast majority of them have already been disclosed. They’re in articles all over the world. They’re in books that have been written.”
And I will add that there is no evidence other than the accusations by the two accusers – one of whom is Virginia Giuffre, who falsely accused Dershowtiz, by the way.
But once people get in their head that there’s a list of guilty clients that’s being suppressed, many will never let go of that notion.
(3) A Trump changer:
LANGONE: "I am sold on Trump … I think he's got a good shot at going down in history as one of our best presidents ever."
CNBC: "That is a real turnaround because you didn't want to vote for him!"
LANGONE: "When you made a mistake, admit it."

(4) Israel bombs Syria to protect the Druze.
(5) Trump sanctions an anti-Israel official at the UN, and several other anti-Israel commissioners resign. Sounds like a good move to me:
All three commissioners leading the United Nations’ anti-Israel inquisition panel resigned this week, just days after the State Department sanctioned a pro-Hamas U.N. investigator.
The U.N. Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory’s chairwoman Navi Pillay, commissioner Miloon Kothari, and commissioner Chris Sidoti all announced they are stepping down, according to the watchdog group U.N. Watch.
The exodus comes less than a week after Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced U.S. sanctions against U.N. special rapporteur for the Palestinian territories Francesca Albanese for her “illegitimate and shameful efforts to prompt [International Criminal Court] action against U.S. and Israeli officials, companies, and executives.”
Albanese has basically been a Hamas propaganda mouthpiece for the UN. See this for an example of her activities.

(3) is a good catch neo. I can’t say I know Langone terribly well, but what I do know is all good and quite impressive. He’s not as smart or rich as Elon Musk, but he didn’t suck up billions in tax dollars like Elon did, and he has been a huge donor to some impressive operations.
I missed all of his negative commentary about Trump in the past, since I quit watching CNBC in disgust some time ago. The guy seems to be a straight shooter.
What are the consequences for an individual who has been sanctioned?
I’m not sure why anyone would pick a lifelong bureaucrat to run an economy over a businessman. If the scene at the State Department the other day didn’t inform as to what a bureaucrat thinks their “special purpose” is, nothing will.
@new: (5) Trump sanctions an anti-Israel official at the UN, and several other anti-Israel commissioners resign. Sounds like a good move to me
Sounds good to me too. I just wonder whether the sanctions went beyond a sternly worded announcement.
huxley; Dwaz:
Here’s Rubio’s letter. But it doesn’t describe the sanctions. However, they typically involve not insignificant penalties, such as preventing travel to the US and blocking assets she has in the US. I don’t know whether that would include travel to the UN headquarters in NY, but perhaps.
The UN and the usual suspects are very angry about it. Tough.

The issue, as I understand it, is bilking the tax authorities of serious money for many years over his alleged primary state of residence:
Hey, maybe Schiff can hire Letitia James to represent him…or—if she’s too busy scheming how to poleaxe DJT**—at least give Schiff a letter of recommendation attesting to his upstanding character…
** …or if she had a few legal “issues” of her own to deal with…

Though the list of toxic haters working for the UN is a long one, Albanese is right there at the top, defiant and proud.
(Hey! Maybe for her efforts she’ll get an interview with Tucker Carlson….)
albanese must be pondering, you know George, when you have another bright idea, keep it to yourself, I have come to think whenever there is some muckity muck title like Rapporter, they are usually up to something bad, see Richard Falk of the UN Human Rights Commission, who thought Khomeini was some kind of Iranian dissident,
I hadn’t seen the news about the Druze. Very interesting.
Crushing Hezbollah results in the ouster of Assad, the rise of the Sunni jihadists and their rounding on the Druze to massacre once again. File it under no good deed goes unpunished, maybe? Man but the headaches will never cease in the muslim centered regions of this world.
even doha’s generosity has limits, or perhaps prince talal,

@sdferr:Crushing Hezbollah results in the ouster of Assad, the rise of the Sunni jihadists and their rounding on the Druze to massacre once again.
“Regime change” can get you something worse than you had before. The people who run Syria now are former Al Qaeda.
Do you believe Netanyahu set out to make “regime change” in Syria? Ha!
@sdferr:Do you believe Netanyahu set out to make “regime change” in Syria?
I don’t. But the regime indeed was changed, and not for the better. American forces were on the ground in Syria, halping, as were Turks and Russians. Someone was trying for regime change, perhaps, or maybe not, but regardless they got it.
Yes, the Turks for sure, though I think they along with just about everyone else were surprised at how easily it came about. Though, on consideration (looking at you, Mr. Chikli) it may not yet be a settled matter, eh wot?!
”American forces were on the ground in Syria, halping[sic], as were Turks and Russians.”
American forces were and are protecting our Kurdish allies in the northeastern part of the country. The Russians backed the Assad regime. The HTS rebels had the backing of Turkey, not Russia or the U.S.

Be interesting to find out whether any of the usual corrupt Media suspects have reported on this.
Meanwhile in NC…

It seems there is imprecision in the discussion of the Epstein matter. Bondi said the only unreleased material she has is “child porn.” AFAIK, Epstein & Maxwell’s victims were underage, but not prepubescent or under 13 years old.
Not to excuse any illegalities, but in the USA’s past and in many countries today, girls marrying before the age of 18 is not so rare. Again, not to excuse Epstein’s and Maxwell’s crimes, it seems to me that molesting prepubescent children is a more perverted and heinous crime than sexual relations with underage girls.
Andrew Ross Sorkin must have soiled his knickers hearing Langone’s positive comments about Trump.
Sorkin has always been a hardcore lefty and suffers a very severe case of Trump derangement syndrome (TDS).
Every time Sorkin opens his mouth you can expect the usual lefty, progressive drivel. . He doesn’t even pretend to be impartial when questioning any guest that even hints of a non-progressive viewpoint.
Dershowitz from the Sean Spicer interview in n March: “I know the names of the individuals. I know why they’re being suppressed. I know who’s suppressing them…But I’m bound by confidentiality from a judge and cases, and I can’t disclose what I know, but I, hand to God, I know. I know the names of people whose files are being suppressed in order to protect them, and that’s wrong.”
Why is it wrong? Is it still wrong, or is it now right?
Andrew ross sorkin’s ignorance was revealed at length in that heavy tome ‘,too big too fail’ which addressed none of those underlying issues that morgenstern noted

I suppose to the committed salafi like al sharaa the druze come off as polytheists munafakim shirking the moslem obligations the alawites obvious were such in addition to their clan affiliation in quardaha of course Assad bad was just enough to fit on a post card but there were reasons for his support even among Christians which we are finding out the hard way

@Selfy:Not to excuse any illegalities, but in the USA’s past and in many countries today, girls marrying before the age of 18 is not so rare.
In the US right now, the age of consent and the age at which you can marry varies by jurisdiction, and not only that, can vary by the age or relationship of the two people involved. In my own state the age of consent can be as high as 21 or as low as 16. Only in 11 states is the minimum age actually 18.
Minimum ages for marriage in the US:
Huh. Not what I expected. I’ve been re-watching a TV series based the true story of the development of the FBI’s Behavioral Science Unit. In the 1970’s they are investigating the rape/murder of a young girl, and they mention that the minimum age in Georgia is 14.
Strangely, according to Wikipedia, California has no minimum age for marriage. Missouri has the lowest stated age at 15. In colonial America, the age was 12.

On an unrelated but relevant subject, today is the 80th anniversary of the Atomic Age.
The first atomic bomb test at Trinity, New Mexico occurred on July 16th, 1945.
Next month, of course, are the anniversaries of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki stirkes that ended World War II.
@ HC68: when it comes time for folks to discuss “the anniversaries of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki strikes that ended World War II.” I hope there is some consideration of the view that those two bombs (being early in such bomb development) were no more devastating in their end result than prior city-wide fire bombing campaigns. Thus some people believe that they were an excuse that the Emperor used to save face vs. the real fears he and his command staff had about a pending invasion by the Soviets from the Northern islands. They surrendered to the Americans so they did not have to potentially surrender to the Soviets.
I expect we will see a spirited back and forth on this topic when the time is right, both here and/or on other blogs/sites.
I see Neo has a posting about the Trinity testing so I will head there next.
