These are the 10 alleged members of a north Texas Antifa terror cell accused of carrying out the attempted murder of federal officers at a shooting terrorist attack on an ICE facility on the Fourth of July in Alvarado, Texas.One local police officer was shot in the neck, and survived. The group was armed with multiple rifles, pistols, body armor, escape vehicles, radios, and other devices indicating a planned conspiracy.
Multiple members of the cell are confirmed trans.
They’ve been charged federally with attempted murder and also face local charges of terrorism in Johnson County, Texas.
As Ace points out, former FBI director Christopher Wray had sworn that Antifa was “just an idea.”
I imagine I’m not the only person “of a certain age” who remembers the violent revolutionary perps of the 1960s and 1970s, and is reminded of that. Not exactly the same, of course – but it rhymes. This particular group seems to have very much intended to kill multiple ICE agents and/or police. They were apparently not all that competent at their task, fortunately. They are egged on by the MSM and the Democrat Party, who have made ICE agents out to be more or less the Gestapo, preying on poor innocents.
I rather hope that people in the Trump admin. crush these Antifa types.

Peace through strength also works in domestic affairs. Tom Homan and ICE are not cowed by these perps. Through enough of these people in jail for long terms and take some wind out of their sails.

Trantifa have been committing murder here in Oregon and Washington since 2020 or a bit
earlier but Attorney General Bill Bart couldn’t be bothered. State Patrol had to handle a federal (RICCO) criminal organization. Bill has a lot to answer for.
Antifa thugs beat up Andrew Ngo in Portland circa 2020. They had beaten him up for reporting on them. He has since then devoted a lot of time to reporting on Antifa behavior. I wonder if any Antifa now regret having beaten up Ngo.
I guess the Antifa arrested in Texas will find out that while Antifa has pretty much had a free pass in Portland—perhaps until they dealt with the Feds this year—it is not likely they will get a free pass in Texas.
I am reminded of my freshman year in college in the 60s. Weatherperson Mark Rudd of Columbia fame (ended up in New Mexico as a community college instructor) and Eldridge Cleaver were among the speakers who came to the U that year. Decades later I read Mark Rudd’s memoir. Rudd wrote that a factor in his becoming a radical was meeting some relatives who had concentration camp tattoos. The regional high school I attended had a number of students with Jewish parents who had fled Germany or Austria before the war, but I never was aware of meeting someone with concentration camp tattoos. I also had classmates whose parents were Iron Curtain refugees— two in my class of 25 in our small town. I also knew from work a couple from Ukraine who had lived through the Holodomor. My perspective was not that of Mark Rudd.
I was sitting with a small group on the quad at the U that spring when a Weatherperson honcho said that Lenin should be added to the college curriculum. She said this in a gushing tone, as if Lenin were on the level of Plato or Shakespeare. Fortunately, she did not go the violent Weatherperson route. She worked several years as an aide at a psych hospital, got a doctorate in psychology and ended up serving in a state legislature for several decades. In the leg it appeared her main goal was having her picture taken with fellow politicians higher up the ladder.

The location of the attack limited their escape and evasion options. Their black tactical gear would show up well at night when using night vision.
As far as antifa goes, it’s the direct action arm of the Democrat Socialists. The left wing of the Party. Hence it’s related to earlier groups like Weatherman.
