So it now comes out El Sayed has dual citizenship with Egypt. Yikes…
The guy’s a total but dangerous phony.
(Note that many Democrats appear to be perfectly fine with that.)

Here’s an important and comprehensive article on why countries in South America have been turning rightward.
Author Sarah Anderson, cogently and persuasively counters the meme that Trump’s defunding of USAID has played a significant role in this change of direction:
Is the data center backlash justified?
No one asked for them — but they’re everywhere.
They use hundreds of thousands of gallons of water a day.
They take up massive tracts of land.
Some communities are now overrun with them – which is why it’s time to finally ban … America’s golf courses.
Wait, you thought we were talking about data centers?
No, they use less water than the golf courses.
And way less land.
The first insider’s look at the DOGE effort at cost cutting Federal spending during early 2025 somewhat contradicts what we’re told.
The story were told is this one. “The Department of Government Efficiency, an Elon Musk brainchild intended to chop away at our colossal federal debt, was birthed with a blast and died with a whimper. And the emerging bipartisan consensus appears to be that it simply failed.” But Tyler Hassan says no, “we didn’t fail.”
Hassan worked in the Department of the Interior, which manages a half million acres of land, mostly in the Bureau of Land Management, but also Reclamation and the National Parks system.
Tyler Hassan says that denying the real accomplishments of this major Fed audit led by Elon Musk is wrong.
While it is true that the trillion dollar savings Musk hoped for did not materialize, the reality is skewed by facts like cutting the nearly $1 billion already contracted out to industry that Interior – believe it or not – simply did not use!
Hassan appears to have worked as a business trouble shooter, especially for the energy industry. He’s travelled widely. And despite death threats and physical intimidation, even aimed at his wife, he felt a patriotic duty to do something to bring sanity to US spending. He would do it again, he says.
The ultimate fear of the Federal debt bomb is a great worry motivating to Tyler Hassan to act and join, which was worry shared widely with Team Doge.
Unknown before, some 20 women also served this temporary six months of voluntary for DOGE. But understandably, they wanted to be low profile and avoid attacks and harassment others faced.
I don’t this there’s optimism to be found here. But quiet comfort is gained. Tyler calls for a New Bi-partisan Doge to be created. But with only one Democrat Senator who’ll say “no” to egregious spending, I think his hope is impossible. For now.
Because it’s on the NSBA letterhead, one wouldn’t be blamed for thinking that the letter was an NSBA product. But that wasn’t the case. Instead, it was “the product of collaboration between NSBA leadership and high-ranking officials in the Biden Administration.”
In other words, the attempt to link parental speech as a potential “hate crime” or “domestic terrorism” was a collaborative effort.

Why would El Sayed take out dual citizenship in Egypt, since he was born in the U.S.?
