I initially thought there may have been an issues with the ground spoilers and thrust reverse as the final pictures showed both stowed…turns out it was an unstable approach that should have been a go-around, and he explains why the spoilers and reverse were not deployed.

News today is saying that Trump is floating a trial balloon about re-directing some federal monies originally dedicated to paying for services rendered at child care centers, to funding stay-at-home moms. Fox pundits not happy. These are not choices the feds should be making. I would tend to agree.
Although… Congress has already made a decision and allocated tax dollars to a type of child care. It’s doubtful that the existing legislation would be rescinded and the fed. budget reduced. Apparently, there is some agreement that the executive branch can decide on the how those child care monies are distributed.

At this point I would say 10% ATC for not switching the runway, but the 2 previous planes came in ok. 90% pilot error for not recognizing an unstable approach even 2 miles out and not initiating a go-around

In my youth I knew him as a handsome face in the Male Vocalists records bin. I figured him for a 50s French crooner.
Which he was. He was legendary in France as a singer. Some called him the French Sinatra, but that was just the beginning.
He wrote or co-wrote over a thousand songs for himself and others to sing. He appeared in over eighty films and tv shows.
As we know from the video, he was a dancer. His first performance gig was as a child dancer at the age of 9. Dancing remained a part of his solo performances. He kept up that crazy Slavic kick dancing until he finally injured himself in old age.
I can’t think of any comparable US/UK entertainer with that breadth of talents.

Ex-Fox News host Maria Bartiromo may be headed to a new network after reportedly meeting with CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss.
According to Rob Shuter’s newsletter, Naughty But Nice, Bartiromo and Weiss have already discussed the possibility of working together, with a spot on 60 Minutes part of the conversation. “Maria and Bari have already spoken,” a television insider told Shuter. “Maria isn’t sitting around licking her wounds. She’s moving fast, and 60 Minutes is absolutely in the mix.”

Shuter’s new report claims that Bartiromo wants to remain “a major player” in the news industry, which is why a move to Weiss’ CBS News is seen as a viable option.
“Maria brings something Bari understands is valuable: access,” the insider said, noting that she could reach “CEOs, billionaires, political power players and Wall Street titans.”
So. Would Maria alone — presumably with her chosen producer — be enough to re-balance “60 Minutes”?
If she was able to have some influence over subjects and treatments, and a voice in saying “you guys really slanted that one!” maybe it would be a useful balance.
Or would Maria go over to the Dark Side instead?
