On the expansion of the red-green alliance
Those of us old enough to remember the Iranian Revolution and establishment of the mullahtocracy are old enough to remember the red-green alliance against the Shah that brought it about. These two camps, which in some ways seem like opposites, were able to unite against a common enemy and each were convinced they’d be the last faction standing. But in short order it became clear that the mullahs had devoured the leftists while they were still digesting their Shah meal. And now, nearly a half-century later, the mullahs are still in control.
And much of the left in this country is still with them. For example:
Tehran flew in hundreds of foreign social media influencers to participate in the regime’s orchestrated display of anti-Western hate. The Jerusalem Post, citing Iranian state media, reported “that around 400 foreign bloggers and influencers were brought in” by the regime to witness Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s funeral.
Leading the pack were Jackson Hinkle and Max Blumenthal. Hinkle, who built his fan base by supporting Putin and bashing Israel, took the stage at a gathering in Tehran to lead the chants of “Down with the USA.” Standing on the stage, he waved a reg flag, symbol of jihad and vengeance in Shia Islam. …
Not to be outdone, self-styled journalist Blumenthal was literally seen drumming for the regime, flanked by the flags of the Iranian regime and its terrorist proxy Hezbollah.
By the way, although some on the left try to disown Hinkle and say he’s on the far-right, it’s pretty clear that he’s on the left – if he’s anywhere other than a grifting click-seeker. After all, he’s the founder of something called the American Communist Party and has described himself as an “American Conservative Marxist-Leninist” – that is, socially conservative, and an admirer of Stalin and Bernie Sanders. As for Blumenthal, he’s written for leftist media and is the son of Sidney Blumenthal, a highly Clinton-partisan writer. Son Max is also an extremely anti-Zionist ethnic Jew, not the first and not the last.
What unites Islamists and the left nowadays? It’s really pretty simple, and it’s the same principle it was in Iran in 1979. Back then they wanted to destroy the Shah and take power, and now in the US they want to destroy the 2-party system and the US government as we know it, they want to take power and block the ability of others to take power away from them, and they also want to destroy Israel and anyone who supports it (which would include most Jews, as well as most evangelical Christians and many other Christians as well). Many people sum it all up as the desire to destroy Western Civilization, or at least its basic principles of human rights, liberty, and the pursuit of truth.
The things that divide Islamists and the left are very small potatoes compared to the things that unite them. If they ever were to succeed in their goals, however, one would try to crush the other, as in Iran. Hopefully it won’t get that far. But they are growing more powerful, and the Tuckerite wing of what used to be the right – and now is a sort of hybrid – is in there with them.

The idea is that it “works” to take down the common enemy such as the Shah. Each element of the alliance realizes it’s a temporary alliance and thinks that their faction will defeat the other faction in the aftermath. Therefore, it “works” in that sense.
The destruction of Western Civilization by the Marxist/Islamist Alliance would indeed result in a ‘war’ between the former ‘allies’. The ‘winner’ would then be ‘dealt with’ by the CCP.
Marxist precepts are ultimately, unsustainable. (As China’s leadership is discovering, if still in denial.)
Islamic precepts, i.e. Sharia Law can never be Constitutionally compliant.
Neither can offer the knowledgeable, a persuasive argument.
So deceit, fraud and malfeasance abound in their ‘camp of saints’.
Inevitably they are reduced to resorting to slander, libel, creating the cancel culture and now, even murder.
For their sake, as well as ours, I pray they do not regain full control of the Federal government for they will seek to impose an intolerable tyranny upon us and that, would turn out very badly for them.
This is not the first time diametrically opposed factions bury the hatchet – at least temporarily – in pursuit of a greater goal.
Recall that Stalin’s USSR was an ally of Hitler from August 1939 until June 1941.
This alliance of two mass murderers allowed Stalin to invade Eastern Poland, Latvia, Lithuania , Estonia and Finland. It also allowed Hitler to invade Poland and not have to worry about Stalin getting his knickers in a twist
Bad guys are not picky at all with whom they bed In pursuit of their own goals and when the time comes they have no compunction in murdering their erstwhile ally.
Anyway , Stalin’s actions did not prevent the USSR from becoming a permanent member of the UN’s Security Council. This is one reason that the UN is a total joke.
One of the touchstones for understanding the modern Left’s alliance with Islamism lies in the thought of Michel Foucault. It was Foucault who was one of the first to publicly embrace the Iranian Revolution as a political force against the West (i.e. the forces of the Enlightenment). Only after dispatching the strong, will the weak players fight each other. This is exactly what we see with the red-green alliance.

For the record: the ones we got did not come from Mossad. The Mossad have some of the best and most in depth assets on the ground in Iran that is true, but they keep those quite secret and generally to themselves given the stakes. We rarely hear from them directly because they are better used for other things. And direct Iran to Israel leaks or travel are almost nonexistent due to the regime’s attitude and basic logistics.
So when intel gets to us from Iran, it almost always leaks out either directly from Iran by way of the internet, or more typically over the borders to Iraq and Pakistan or across the Gulf and from there hits the wider Iranian diaspora and the wider media ecosystem. So the estimates of widespread mass murders of protestors came not from Mossad (who were tracking it but keeping their powder dry and their sources quiet as they were serving other areas) but from the Iranian public, various diaspora groups, the Gulf states, and to a lesser degree the regime itself, which has half decent figures on death sentences it passes and carries out.
This reveals that you do not understand the region but instead jump to Israel Bad, because you are a hateful idiot.

Indeed, one of the reasons why the conflict over the killing of their resident Heydrich/Beria Qasem Solemani was so abrupt was because the regime sponsored rallies mourning Solemani badly underestimated how utterly despised he was by most Iranians for sponsoring mass murder, terrorism, and rape. Which meant that there was inadequate coercive force applied and so a bunch of what were supposed to be mournful pro regime demonstrations blew up in their face as people began celebrating and thanking the US and Israel, meaning the regime had to embarrassingly clean the streets and recognize it could not fight a war to avenge him.

Now I do not doubt that this isn’t every single person on the street. I’m sure many earnestly support and mourn the regime. Unfortunately for you, I re-examine my prior assumptions a lot.
