Mamdani won’t deign to attend the Israel parade in New York: the origin and spread of the “genocide” charge — 13 Comments

  1. Not surprised at all a Muslim isn’t going to participate in a Israeli parade or ceremony.
And anti-Jewish attacks seem to be ramping up.

  2. The support for Israel and Israel’s might surprise some of these ( ahem) people.

  3. Mamdani is making no attempt to be the mayor for all New Yorkers. Turning St. Patrick’s Day into a pro-“Palestinian” event is pretty disgusting (no matter what the Irish in Ireland think).

He’s also planning, on what legal basis I know not, to seize “poorly-run” apartment properties and give them to city management.

  4. Mamdani is a terrorist plain and simple. And a supporter of terrorists. He would fit perfectly with Reinhart Heydrich.

  5. Holy land foundation rapper father defended al queda suicide bombers

Yes this is Sakharovskys (arafats recruiter) handiwork from beyond the grave

There are parallels with sadik khan across the pond who has more polish but the same mindset he defended at least one al queda terrorists

He lets the criminals roam in london, and the citizens are kept in fear

  6. Jews are fortunate that Trump is on their side. I wonder if that’s the main reason the Left utterly despises him.

  7. Well, the ultimate puppet-master of the Left hates the Jews with an eternal passion, so it stands to reason that his minions hate Trump.

See Mark Atwood’s essay convincingly positing one main reason behind the hate.

“The apparatus cannot tolerate people it cannot bend, because those people are walking proofs that its power is bounded. The rage is the tell. When you see fury out of scale with offense, you are watching the apparatus identify a target it cannot reach.”

  8. Five years ago I would have thought this sort of thing impossible. Three years ago, inevitable. What about the smart people?

  9. @James Sisco:Jews are fortunate that Trump is on their side.

Perhaps a larger percentage of them will come to realize it, instead of working against him. A lot of them don’t seem to recognize any threat from their left, or if they recognize it, have any concerns about it.

But I’ve never figured out a way to convince someone that I know what benefits them better they do. Certainly there have been endless “What’s the Matter With Kansas”-style books and articles about how people who vote Republican would be better off under Democrats, and as far I can tell they never made a dent.

  10. NIketas:

A great many Jews are secular Jews and liberalism and leftism is their religion. They either hate Israel or don’t care much about it and don’t see how any of it affects them personally.

A third of Jews vote Republican. Most Orthodox Jews vote Republican. And the ranks of Jewish Republicans are growing although still a distinct minority.

Jews in Israel are huge Trump fans and Israel’s left has been shrinking and shrinking over the years. Jews in Britain lean conservative.

I would imagine their numbers and influence will continue to wane, at least in America, mostly through changing demographics among American Jews, though these trends are not as reliably measured as are broader American demographic trends.

There may be some changing of sides that happens among the older ones, but I suspect the effect of that will be relatively small. It’s just too easy nowadays to filter out any information that might change one’s mind about anything.
