(2) Comey has been indicted again, this time for threatening to harm Trump:

The temperature needs to be turned down, and anyone who dials it up and threatens the life of the President will be held accountable.”
“James Comey disgracefully encouraged a threat on President Trump’s life and posted it on Instagram for the world to see,” said FBI Director Kash Patel. “As the former Director of the FBI, he knew full well the attention and consequences of making such a post. This FBI and our DOJ partners pursued a rigorous investigation that followed the facts – and now Mr. Comey will be held fully accountable for his actions. Thank you to our investigators, Acting AG Todd Blanche, and the Eastern District of NC for their diligent and professional work.”
The threat was encoded in Comey’s “seashell” post, which contained the message “86 47”. I happen to agree with those who, like Jonathan Turley, think the case is iffy. But it’s one of those things Democrats would do if the shoe were on the other foot. And perhaps it’s also meant to serve notice that threatening the president on social media might not be a totally free ride.

(4) Two “visibly Jewish” men in London have been stabbed and are in serious condition. “VIsibly Jewish” probably means dressed in Orthodox garb or with typically Jewish head coverings.
“Credit” was claimed:
Following the stabbings, pro-Iran regime Telegram accounts disseminated a video by Ashab al Yamin in which the group claimed credit for the stabbings.
“Zionists were targeted by our lone wolves in the Golders Green area of London. This heroic act left two Zionists critically wounded and on the brink of death,” the group stated.
Ashab al Yamin also encouraged further attacks against “Zionists,” framing them as defending humanity, the Al Aqsa Mosque, Palestine, and Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails. The statement lauded Cole Allen, who attempted to assassinate US President Donald Trump at a gathering of journalists and government officials in Washington, DC, on April 25. The statement ended with Ashab al Yamin encouraging “free people” to assassinate Trump. The statement included closed-circuit television footage showing one of the stabbings in Golders Green that had been widely distributed online by sources not linked to the group.
Take that with a grain of salt, though, because it’s a group that routinely claims credit for a lot of terrorist attacks in the area.
I’ve known a few devout Jews who have worn caps over their religious head coverings on the streets of Boston, starting about twenty years ago, to avoid problems.
(5) Of course the left blames the right for the attacks on Trump – a version of “she asked for it” or “he made us do it.” Remember when Kennedy was killed by an outright Communist, and it was blamed on the “climate of hate” coming from the right in Dallas?

Global cooling is a much more likely occurrence than global warming. There’s evidence we may enter a period of prolonged sunspot inactivity which generally leads to lower temperatures on Earth (grand solar minimum). As for anther Ice Age, the last peaked around 20,000 years ago, so we should be safe for another 5,000-10,000 years. But grifters have to have something to base a scam on.

As I reread some of the Amazon review comments it struck me that part of what they tried to do culturally was create a substantial middle class, which would be more resistant to claims by the “upper classes” to be the sole real rulers. Then as we consider how that view on equality moved into the Christian culture (appealing very often it seems to Gentile women), it still took a long time to have that wider group grow a sizeable middle class, perhaps not even until the Enlightenment, especially in England and Scotland. Did it take until that circumstance or condition to achieve some of the middle class political equality as well?
Not so much “created equal” as “created in God’s image”, with everything that that might mean (or convey)—i.e., equal in that sense: “equal rights” (under law?) and “equal responsibilities” as far as goes, all deserving of respect unless forfeited.
Most certainly NOT all having equal abilities.
It’s problematic.

physicsguy’s point: I believe it was around 2001 that there was a pause in the increasing temperatures usually published by the climate folks. I think that while those numbers are “massaged” and cherry picked to some extent, even those numbers had mostly stopped increasing. This pause continued for several more years and it got the climate folks worried enough that “climate change” became the new mantra.
It’s also interesting that the official IPCC projections for global temperatures going forward a number of decades have been reined in greatly compared to the hysteria of say the late 1990’s.
Ha on global cooling, few alarmists even know that CO2 makes up 0.0% of the atmosphere.*
We need more solar powered air-conditioning, especially in Europe, as well as all forms of desalination for more irrigation water.

It’s good to prosecute Comey. He was explicitly using known code words to support, thus incite, violence against the President. A jury might agree yet say not guilty, or guilty, or might not agree.
What will Dems say, like those wanting to tone down talk of political violence. If society wants less incitement, it needs to indict & punish those who do incite violence. In particular, Comey’s incitement is more clear than that alleged against Trump for Jan 6. Each and every Dem who was on TV claiming Trump incited violence should be asked about Comey inciting violence. With Comey worse, it’s possible to claim Comey guilty yet Trump not, which is my position. Turkey’s more common position is that neither is incitement.
I’d expect Trump haters to claim Trump was worse, so ok to punish him. What makes a phrase incitement?

CO2 has gone up from ~230 to ~450. Big increase of very small numbers.

No, it’s not 0.0% only if you are doing rounding. It is 0.04%. Yes, a small percentage by molecule count of the atmosphere, but essential for life as it supplies all plant growth. It does contribute to the greenhouse effect, but only minimally. Water vapor is the primary GHG by a large margin. CO2 has only one major absorption band at 15microns wavelength, while H2O has numerous bands that far outweigh CO2. If one wants some direct evidence of H2O’s greenhouse effect just compare a 90degree day in the desert and the tropics and then compare the night time temperature of those locations later in the day.

Yeah, but to be fair, the story didn’t say that it was the same photon, it said that the energy is reradiated. Which is also sloppy from a physics standpoint, of course. Light is not made of energy, it has energy.
But in a colloquial language sort of way, they at least get the basic heating mechanism, which is more than many people writing about this stuff do.
Well, I could say the same thing about energy. When you use energy, it is converted into work or heat and it’s gone. I always wondered how you can renew energy since there is nothing to renew.
