Governor Beshear of Kentucky makes a healthcare proposal
Offering few specifics, Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear said his administration is committed to ensuring that 100% of the state’s black residents have health insurance.
State statistics released Monday indicate black Kentuckians account for 16.5% of Kentucky’s coronavirus deaths but make up just 8.4% of the state’s population, according to Census data.
“Every single individual in our African-American communities is to have a form of health-care coverage,” Beshear (D) said. “We’re going to put money into it, we’re going to put people into it, we’re going to make sure the community anchors are part of it.”
This guy is not only a governor, he’s also a lawyer and was the Attorney General of Kentucky for a while. So he’s not ignorant of what he’s saying here, and how illegal it is.

Beshear didn’t immediately comment on how he would provide coverage to people who don’t currently qualify for expanded Medicaid and don’t have insurance through their employer.
He also didn’t comment on how the state would defend against a lawsuit should someone allege the action is illegal race-based discrimination.
Does he really intend to try to do this? Or is it just BS to placate the masses? I say it’s the latter, a shameless pandering from someone who’s quite aware of what he’s saying.
The pandering is ubiquitous. George and Laura Bush (to say nothing of Romney and almost every important Republican) are now on the same side, ideologically, as Colin Kaepernick and the egregious Al Sharpton. This includes a majority of Fortune 500 companies and all of cable news, which has been running coverage of the “memorial service” for hours upon end. Any dissent (as in the form of Tucker’s excellent monologue yesterday) brings down swift and severe condemnation. This does not augur well for the future of free speech in our beleagured republic .
It’s unlawful if appellate judges respect black letters. Appellate judges gave you Roe and Obergefell and are generally very receptive to sketchy racial preference schemes.
And it’s stupid. Black people aren’t dying in excess numbers of the Wuhan virus because of any issue of health care finance. It’s a reasonable wager they’re dying in excess because (1) obesity is more of a problem in black populations, and (2) the manner in which personal conversation takes place among blacks (which includes more variation in dynamics and register) spreads the virus more readily, and (3) blacks make more use of city buses and (4) blacks are more likely to have service positions which incorporate getting near strangers and (5) modes of religious worship in black churches involve enthusiastic singing and shouting, which spreads the virus more readily than does contemplative worship.

I don’t know about every important Republican. Romney has for the last couple of years been angling for the Upper-Class-Twit-of-the-Year award, and this is just the latest episode. As for W, throughout his career as a politician he undermined advocates of meritocracy and the system-of-natural-liberty in these matters. He’s always sought to manufacture patron-client relationships with blacks and hispanics. Did not do him a blessed bit of good with black voters.
I’d be delighted if the descendants of Prescott Bush Sr got out of vocational and avocational politics. W says flat nothing of interest for 7 years, even about things which screamed for comment like the IRS scandal, then he avails of himself of serial episodes of taking a dump on his quondam constituency. Be gone.
The KY Gov should ask for private donations to fund his program.
There appears to be an infinite amount of corporate money available for these schemes.
Beshear barely won election (just over 5,000 votes) while running against an exceptionally unpopular Republican incumbent. He knows he’s only going to be in office for one term, thus he’s working more on the “divide” and less on the “conquer”.
Without pandering what do our would be overlords have to offer? Just more globalist platitudes, continuing destruction of the middle class, and further dividing the peasants into competing factions. The ‘Karens’ are their useful fools advocating for their own eventual demise, inching towards the day the center no longer holds.

This stuff is being covered constantly in Europe too, although not so much the funeral. No one has mentioned Floyd’s fentanyl or meth or his previous time in prison. He was just a poor black guy killed by a racist white cop. This is German stations, BBC, France 24 and Al Jazeera. There was also no mention of the number of killings in Chicago over the weekend. I can’t stand it.

I have read speculation that, of course he realizes this would violate the equal protection clause. However, hyper-aggressive outreach programs designed to ensure each and every black citizen of KY has access to Obamacare would also fill the bill of what he is stating.
There is a video link going around on FB of some “Black Hebrew Israelites” with a white woman kissing the boots of several black men and the “ preacher” is saying this is the future of all whites. Claims to be “ the true priest of god.” Doubt that will make the news except maybe , maybe on Fox.

You can’t disagree with these opinions or you are a stupid racist and not fit for your job. Unfortunately, they have been making sure that the kids are already on board so I don’t know who is going to point out the naked Emperor.

There are also a couple of weird things going on that have sexually perverse overtones (to say the least) which I don’t think people here will want to think about too hard. 1-is young white women having their heads shaved bald in “honor” of Black Lives Matter. This connects with sadomasochistic pornography in which shaving the head of female slaves is a more and more popular theme, enacted both with real models and in art and comics.
2-kind of lurks below the surface, but one can’t help but wonder what might be going on that’s unseen (and/or ignored) by the MSM. In the world of porn — which is highly sensitive to trends in the culture — a site called Blacked has become hugely popular in the last few years. This features, exclusively, dark-skinned black guys having sex with pretty, young-looking blonde girls. I wondered about who looks at such a site. Apparently it’s very popular with white incels (white males who are “involuntarily celibate.” These males tend to have a great deal of hostility for attractive females they see as out of their reach. See Michael Connelly’s new best-selling crime novel Fair Warning as one illustration. There’s another, similar website called Blacks On Blondes. How many black men look at this stuff? How many white women? Fuel for what kinds of fantasies?
Porn influences sexual fashion, as it did in accomplishing the more or less total disappearance of pubic hair among young sexual active females within a few short years. I can remember, back in the late 1960s, when Black Panthers (or, more often, Black Panther types) pushed their sexual attentions, hard, on young white females, quickly resorting to telling them that “So you’re a racist” if encountering resistance. This mostly wore out its welcome fairly soon. But now?
(I, by the way, investigated the current world of porn when urged to do so by two different literary agents in succession. Both said they believed this could be a hot topic — whereas because I’m an old white man, there’s not much interest otherwise in anything I write these days, even though I have a record of past success. There used to be a lot of Jews living in Europe during the 19th century. During that century there was much political activity on behalf of the Jews, and by the beginning of the 20th century most European countries no longer required them to live only in certain areas, avoid certain occupations, etc. Today we would classify all this as a strong civil-rights movement on behalf of the Jews, who in gratitude became reliable left-wing voters.
When the Great Depression hit Europe in the 1930’s, it led to the rise of the Nazis and eventually to WWII. Although Germany lost WWII, those Jews who survived the death camps ended up mostly in Israel. Europe today has very few Jews compared to the number that were present before the war. In a way, Hitler got his dearest wish despite losing the war and destroying Germany.
During the last half of the 20th century we have seen the development of a vigorous civil-rights movement for black americans, and in gratitude they have become reliable left-wing voters.
I do hope that those who assert that the arc of history bends toward justice are correct. To the unbiased observer, however, history often seems to bend toward the genocide of disliked minorities — the Tutsis in Rwanda, the Jews of 19th century Europe, the Armenians in Turkey, the Aborigines of Australia, the Tasmanians, the Incas, the Aztecs, the Maya, and on and on backward into the past. Probably the list can be extended into pre-history, all the way back to Neanderthals, Denisovans, and so on, where genocide is usually classified as human evolution in action.
The lesson is clear — any government, however enlightened, can fall; severe economic hardship can inspire a search for scapegoats; and nothing is forever. Minority populations should walk softly, always ready at a moment’s notice to pack and leave when the majority turns hostile. To make it worse, the choice between when to fight and when to leave is never obvious.
Compared to the number of Chinese on this planet, all the rest of us could be regarded as minorities.

Perhaps the most irking thing about all this is their sheer ingratitude: one dearly wishes that they acknowledge the debt they owe Trump for enabling them to blame HIM for all their self-induced problems. But who said that life was fair?….

It’s bewildering how public persons feel compelled to comply with the mainstream narrative, notwithstanding the absurdity of the message compared with the reality.
Even conservative ones, like Bush, who should know the falsity of all this show, prefers to align with the powerful in this madness.
Probably in certain circles the pressure is strong, but I am disgusted seeing this… cowardice could be the name.
