White House Secretary resigns, but not the right one
I was in the car today listening to the radio and I heard something about a White House something-or-other secretary resigning today. I felt a small leap of joy at the thought that it had to be—just had to be—the insufferable Robert Gibbs.
But then I heard the next sentence and discovered that it was Desiree Rogers, the White House Social Secretary responsible for letting unapproved guests sneak into a state dinner on her watch. who now feels a deep and suddenly pressing need to pursue interests in the corporate world.
Would it were Gibbs. But I think he’s in it for the long haul.
Eric Holder call your office. You know, the place where you used to work before you yourself individually alone solely and without the knowledge of or input from anyone decided to hold the KSM trial in NY. That office. Yeah, that’s the one.
Gibbs does a very poor job in making prez Obama look good and in advocating for the agenda his boss has set in place. I hope he stays.
Fausta has a picture of her in the ugliest dress I’ve ever seen. Vivian Westwood would cringe.
As far as Gibbs goes, I’m glad German TV doesn’t cover the pressers.
It’s getting crowded under that bus.
I’m with CBI — the longer Gibbs is there the more the public will understand just how dishonest this administration is. F
I must agree with both BCI and F. I feel that Mr. Gibbs is the perfect reflection of our dear President, in intellect, integrity and attitude. There is only one person I would like Mr. Gibbs replaced with – if he really must leave; that would be Mr. Ed Schultz from MSNBC. Big Ed could add the sort of ‘class’ that we have come to expect from the White House – certainly an Obama answer to his understanding of Hope & Change for America.
When are they going to fire that U.S. Embassy guy in Neegeria who let Abdula Mutallab’s father in?
Via Instapundit, here is an LA Times story on the Rogers connections complete with picture of the dress.

It’s true that Gibbs reflects the intellect, integrity, and character of the President, BUT having to watch him is equivalent to some of the “torture” measures congress tried to forbid on Thursday.
I give the Obamas some credit for not tossing her out right away; whether it’s personal loyalty or something else I don’t know. Still, anyone who follows sports knows that when the coach or manager resigns “to pursue other interests” the “other interests” usually means “finding a job.”
I’m with those here wanting the oafish, bumbling, truly embarrassing Gibbs to stay right through the Titanic’s submersion. Indeed, it’ll be really cool to watch him hanging on that aft section, squirming his leggies and giving us’suns alerts on the sinking behemoth.
Love it. Just love it.
Lilmisssunshine…Ohhh, you baaaad. Only the head spinning, pea soup spitting, Batshiite Crazy, Fast Eddy Schultz would be an acceptable replacement.
Can you imagine? What a perfect dream that would be. 🙂
Obama getts as good as he Gibbs.
I agree that the longer Gibbs stays the worse it is for Obama.
But I find Gibbs so dreadful that I was happy anyway at the thought that he might have resigned.
