Lou Dobbs accuses Obama of purposely orchestrating the swamping of the US borders in cooperation with the governments of Central America — 49 Comments

  1. There Are Those Who Would Say that a special place in Hell awaits a man such as El Presidente.

  2. Not sure how to interpret Ymarsakar’s comment. he most obvious interpretation would be that Lou Dobb’s is just a conspiracy nut.

I think some people buy into that, because Dobbs has been pretty out front at times, and those folks usually get smacked.

On the other hand, does anyone have a more lucid explanation for what has happened on the border over the past dozen or so years; and especially since Obama took control of our border? Oops! My mistake. I mean since Obama ceded control of our border to Mexico.

  3. Now is the time for all good citizens to call your Congress Critters and tell them what you think about the border situation. They will not act unless their switchboards and e-mail boxes fill up with calls for action. It’s not quite the same as pitchforks and hanging ropes but they do get the message. They keep a count of what people seem concerned about. The elections are coming – that makes them even more sensitive. When no one communicates, they just assume everything’s ducky. Challenge them to do their duty of oversight of the executive.

Don’t know how to do get the phone numbers and e-mails? Go here:
    http://www.usa.gov/Contact/US-Congress.shtml

Encourage anyone you know to do the same. It feels good to give them a piece of your mind.

  4. he most obvious interpretation would be that Lou Dobb’s is just a conspiracy nut.

The obvious interpretation, if you know what I’ve written in the past, is that O’Reilly is the nut.

  5. J.J., 5:24 pm — “Encourage anyone you know to do the same. It feels good to give them a piece of your mind.”

Too late, J.J.; I’ve evidently already lost mine, given the absolute, utter insanity I see happening all around me.
    But hey, what the heck:

  6. MJR, check this out.

    Dry your eyes
    Dry your eyes
    Dry your eyes
    Dry your eyes
    Dry your eyes
And quietly bear this pain with pride,
For heaven shall remember the silent and the brave.
And promise me, they will never see
The fear within our eyes. (my eyes are closed)
For we will give strength to those who still remain.

So bury fear, while fate draws near
And hide the signs of pain.
    With noble acts
    The bravest souls endure,
    The heart’s remains.

    Discard regret,
    That in this debt
    A better world is made
And children of a newer day might remember
    And avoid our fate.

I waited all day in the pouring rain,
    But nobody came,
    No nobody came.

    (Prepare for battle)

And in the fury of this darkest hour
    We will be your light
You’ve asked me for my sacrifice
    And I am Winter born
Without denying, a faith is come
    That I have never known
I hear the angels call my name
    And I am Winter born

    Hold your head up high
For there is no greater love
Think of the faces of the people you defend
And promise me, they will never see
The tears within our eyes (My eyes are closed)
Although we are men with mortal sins,
    Angels never cry

So bury fear for fate draws near
And hide the signs of pain
With noble acts, the bravest souls
    Endure the heart’s remains

    Discard regret,
    That in this debt
    A better world is made
That children of a newer day might remember, and avoid our fate.

    (Prepare for battle)

And in the fury of this darkest hour
    We will be your light
You’ve asked me for my sacrifice
    And I am Winter born
Without denying, a faith in God
    That I have never known
I hear the angels call my name
    And I am Winter born

And in the fury of this darkest hour
    I will be your light
    A lifetime for this destiny
    For I am winter born
    And in this moment…
I will not run, it is my place to stand
    We few shall carry hope
    Within our bloodied hands

    And in our Dying
We’re more alive- than we have ever been
I’ve lived for these few seconds
    For I am Winter born

And in the fury of this darkest hour
    We will be the light
You’ve asked me for my sacrifice
    And I am Winter born
Without denying, a faith in man
    That I have never known
I hear the angels call my name
    And I am Winter born

    Within this moment
    I am for you,
    Though better men have failed
I will give my life for love
    For I am Winter born

Without love, Americans cannot see what exists. Without hate, humans cannot discern certain things. But with such things, a lot more of the world is rendered transparent. Without those two key emotions to unlock the meaning of the world, people are truly blind and deaf zombies in a robotic cog welfare regime.

I took especial meaning from that particular song in 2007-08. And I think now that people know what they know, now that they feel what they feel, they might take a similar meaning away.

This time, I suspect unlike Vietnam, the masterminds won’t be able to chill out in their American mansions, toasting the fall of Saigon for the next 25 years. Iraq will have their Day of Retribution. But America will not be far behind, nor will Afghanistan.

  7. You can argue whether or not Obama caused the invasion on the border, be he surely could stop it quickly. He hasn’t tried because it fits his plan.

  8. As we all know, our Border Patrol along our southern boarder is being overwhelmed by thousands of illegal immigrant youths. See (emphasis added),
    http://features.twcc.com/article/c2b39327abae3be81ae6827722f5e79b#.U5ulnSj9ftE

Border Patrol agents could arrest as many as 90,000 children trying to illegally cross the Mexican border alone this year, more than three times the number of children apprehended in 2013, according to a draft internal Homeland Security memorandum reviewed by The Associated Press.

In the May 30 memo from Border Patrol Deputy Chief Ronald Vitiello to the National Security Council’s transborder security directorate, Vitiello said Homeland Security’s Office of Immigration Statistics estimates that by 2015 the number of children apprehended while traveling alone could grow to 142,000.

The government has previously estimated that more than 60,000 children could be apprehended along the border this year. All the estimates are for the government’s fiscal year, which begins Oct. 1. Children apprehended with their parents are not part of this count of illegal border crossings.

Most of the children caught crossing alone are from El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala and have been apprehended in the Border Patrol’s Rio Grande Valley Sector in South Texas. That sector is the now the Border Patrol’s busiest area along the Mexican border and has seen a significant increase in the number of border crossers from Central America.

Customs and Border Protection said the memo “appears to be an internal, incomplete working document.”

The spike in children trying cross the border alone has forced DHS to divert resources away from other missions, including combating human and drug trafficking, Vitiello wrote in his four-page memo.

The increase in apprehensions has also led the government to fly some migrants who are from countries other than Mexico to other parts of the border, including Arizona, for processing by Border Patrol agents in less-busy sectors. Many families from countries other than Mexico have been released on their own recognizance in the U.S. while they await deportation proceedings in immigration court.

Releasing those people and taking other actions such as reuniting children caught alone at the border with parents or other relatives already in the U.S. serve as “incentives to additional individuals to follow the same path,” Vitiello wrote.

The number of children found trying to cross the Mexican border without parents has spiked in recent years. Between 2008 and 2011, 6,000 to 7,500 children per year ended up in the custody of the Health and Human Services Department’s Office of Refugee Resettlement. In 2012 border agents apprehended 13,625 unaccompanied children and that number surged to more than 24,000 last year.

This is all consistent with the hopes and plans of leftist intellectuals Cloward and Piven. See,
    http://www.free-science.org/_media/documents:clowardpiven.pdf

It is our purpose to advance a strategy which affords the basis for a convergence of civil rights organizations, militant anti-poverty groups and the poor. If this strategy were implemented, a political crisis would result that couldlead to legislation for a guaranteed annual income and thus an end to poverty.

    ***

By crisis, we mean a publicly visible disruption in some institutional sphere. Crisis can occur spontaneously (e.g., riots) or as the intended result of tactics of demonstration and protest which either generate institutional disruption or bring unrecognized disruption to public attention. Public trouble is a political liability, it calls for action by political leaders to stabilize the situation.

So, as we end up taking in thousands of unaccompanied child illegal immigrants that have to be supported by our welfare systems, which will be overloaded, our leftist buddies can feel cozy and comfortable.

  9. Since so much of this feels like the last year of the Carter administration, why not a new version of the Mariel boatlift? Maybe it’ll lead to another remake of Scarface.

  10. I’ll need more data points to figure out what the Left thinks it is accomplishing over at the South border. There’s a lot of gears moving around there.

  11. Why is BO’s entire life not considered relevant to interpretation?

I think it is because most folks have not had personal experience with the BO ilk, who are a large, influential, cunning, determined, America-hating ilk, outside the cultural experience of most Americans.

  12. What Peter Wehner concludes in today’s Commentary:

“The harm this man has done is immeasurable. And he still has more than two years left to go.”

That’s it? Immeasurable harm and we have to wait it out? That is both cowardly and insane. Let’s get our pitchforks and march to the castle. Now.

  13. Hussein is like that guy hanging out at the ATM machine, when you put the card in and it doesn’t come out. So he offers to help you out, by putting in your pin number. When the card still doesn’t eject, you leave in frustration, and the guy uses a tool to pull out the card, that had been stuck inside due to pre applied glue or tape.

One ATM card and one pin code, acquired.

The Left is no different from that. All they differ in is the scale. But one lake is no different from the water in one bottle. Because America allowed evil to accumulate using American wealth and power, this had to happen sooner or later.

  14. Ymarsakar, 6:25 pm — “MJR, check this out.”

    [ snip ]

Hey! Y’know, many’s the time when someone I know has sent me a link to a song, and usually, my honest reaction — which I’m decent enough to resist revealing to the sender — is some variant of “meh?”.

This time it is different. I *liked* the song at the link. (Kewl lyrics as well.) Bravo! And thank you.

    M J R

  15. There’s always a chance of that. But true artists should be able to apple to a wide variety of human sample populations. It just depends on if there are enough “common linking factors” to bridge the gap.

  16. In NLP or various other interrogation protocols, it is key to find a common point of interest, in order for the subject to open up and drop their guard.

Thus if someone linked a music video (and there are plenty online as we see in blogs), I might choose to ask them why they liked it. Instead of having to become interested myself, I can side step the issue by giving the original party a chance to talk about what they are passionate on. And I will get a chance to learn what I’m passionate on, which is watching people and figuring out what makes them tick. A mutually beneficial conversation is then had.

Generally doesn’t work as well online, since most people openly state why they link the videos that they link, what they like or dislike about it. Also online word craft lacks the voice tones and body language, that really helps refine my instant recognition.

And of course, one would never speak to the subject about the methods and techniques being used in the conversation. That’s bad stage craft, like a magician giving out the trick before the performance.

If an interrogator, such as a police 24/7 hour rotating schedule member, ever got that kind of response from a crook, they might be shocked wordless. The police repeat so many of their questions because they try to catch dumb crooks in an inconsistent story. It’s far less effective than emotional manipulation or good/bad cop routines. If the crook turns out to be better at interrogating the subject than the police interrogator, face will be lost and heads will fly.

If anyone is depressed over something, don’t watch this AMV. It’s a dirge, but suitable for our accelerating world of chaos.

[In the aftermath of a war, the field was burned of all life. Sakura trees were planted there, with expectations that they would wither and die.]

They’d been planted in a barren field of death, but the power of life took firm root and made them bloom.

They were frightening beautiful and dignified.

Life is a wonderful thing. That’s why we must cherish and protect it. But we must not love our own lives too much, then we could not protect the lives of others.

It certainly is easier to avoid spilling blood by averting your eyes and letting others ensure your safety. But when you do that, you’ll get used by those others for their own purposes, and you’ll have no right to complain. – ***** *******

In a fashion, that dirge fits those words.

  17. Carter was at least kept in check by the killer bunny in the water. Not sure what’s keeping Hussein in check, except Valerie. And who is Valerie Jarret anyways… Mephistopheles?

  18. I mused that Arizona should just call out the national guard and secure the border themselves, but that wouldn’t really work.
It would require similar action by all border states, or illegals would simply migrate over the internal borders from another state.

I think it’s safe to assume that neither California nor New Mexico would join that project, though Texas would be on board.

One thing that shouldn’t be tolerated is the organized busing of illegals into our state. If they dribble over the border themselves, at least it would slow the process a bit.

  19. It is time to organize to depose the manque in the WH – if necessary. Clearly, neither laws nor the Constitution nor his prz oath to “see that the laws are faithfully executed” means jack shit to Him.

But to others who prepared to give their blood and lives to “defend the Constitution against enemies both foreign and domestic,” there are alternatives to doing nothing so little as…sending more meaningless bits of email.

(I assure you – the talk is going down.)

  20. Dobbs is factually right:
The cartels control all smuggling into the country.
Coyotes working for the cartels charge thousands of dollars per person to smuggle people across the country.
Mexico is not friendly to people illegally in their land.

Bringing in thousands of underage children through the border involves logistics and coordination, which involves money. The parents of these children allegedly are destitute, so it’s highly unlikely that all at once, as a group, they could cough up the money to bring the kids in.

This is what the governors should do: Sort the children by country of origin. Hand each child a paper bag with a pbj sandwich, an apple, and a water bottle so they have something to eat in the plane. Place then aboard a direct charter flight back home.

  21. And, by the way, don’t be surprise if Cuba’s telling Obama, “abolish the embargo, or you’ll get another Mariel.”

  22. Fausta:

If I understand correctly, the governors’ hands are tied by the law (that is, if they decide to abide by the law, which they appear to be doing although Obama is not enforcing it). The states or their officers cannot deport people. That is the province of the federal government. And the federal government is not only not doing it, they are encouraging illegal immigration instead.

That is the Orwellian world we face.

Of course, the governors could defy the federal government and do it anyway. I have little doubt the federal government under Obama would come down very very hard on them for it.

I could have the law wrong, but that’s my understanding of how this case—remember, when the feds challenged that Arizona immigration law?—went down.

As far as Cuba’s threats to repeat Mariel, I don’t think that would be much of a threat to Obama. I think he might consider it a feature rather than a bug.

  23. Let’s stop being reasonable, thoughtful caring, Fausta. Just shove ’em back into Mexico. But it is obviously much more important for pitchfork-bearers to shove their way into the WH.

  24. Neo,
I agree with your conclusions re: the case you mention.

And, yes, the WH is counting on the governors abiding by the law.

    Sorry state of things.

  25. Sheesh, when one side plays by the rules and the other does not, who’s gonna win? Any rocket scientists out there to help us with this, uhh, conundrum? OK, any Ivy Leaguers?

Obviously, it will take a Constitutional crisis to sort this out, win or lose. Doing zilch=losing. Calling out the AZ National Guard is the 1st step. What does Hussein do in response? What do the Joint Chiefs do with Hussein’s response? What does the AZ Nat Guard itself do?

Hussein doesn’t make cowards of us all. We do that to ourselves. Let’s just keep kicking cans down roads; it’s easier that way. But it is not safer.

  26. Don Carlos:

Don’t imagine my explanation of the governors’ lack of action means I approve of it.

    I wrote:

Of course, the governors could defy the federal government and do it anyway. I have little doubt the federal government under Obama would come down very very hard on them for it.

That’s just a statement of fact. But it doesn’t mean I approve. I think the governors should defy the federal government in this case. It is that important. I think Obama would bring the full force of the law on them, although I’m not sure what that would consist of. Bullies (Obama) sometimes back down when you defy them. Somehow I don’t see Obama backing off in this instance. It is way too important to him. In many ways, more important than Obamacare.

In understanding Obama’s tactics one would always do well to look at Alinsky. The border situation right now is a classic case of his counting on Rule #4: “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” The governors are trying to live up to the constitution and the good of the country (and also not be seen as harming children) and hope Obama will live up to those things as well. But he won’t, and is counting on them to not defy him. In addition, there’s a bit of rule #1, too, “Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.” In other words, what would Obama do if the governors were to defy him? I don’t know, but the fear of it holds them back.

If they were to defy him, it might end up with SCOTUS. This is a somewhat different fact situation from the previous Arizona case where SCOTUS held mostly for the feds, and it might end up with a different result. It’s certainly worth a try.

  27. Neo-
I do not imagine that you approve of governors’ waffling at all.

The question is what the “Federal Government” would do in response to Obama’s orders. The FG is a unitary entity only on paper.
Doing Zilch=Losing. Better to do the right thing and have a chance of winning than doing nothing and losing for sure. Time runneth out.

  28. And forget SCOTUS. That route will take forever. What troops do the Supremes have?

  29. Article quoting Chris Cabrera, vice president of the National Border Patrol Council Local 3307 in the Rio Grande Valley,

Cabrera says the Rio Grande Valley has nine stations and the largest one, in McAllen, Texas, has a capacity of approximately 275 people. Cabrera says this station is seeing between 700 and 1,500 people daily and received 74 women and children in a 20-minute period earlier this week. Cabrera says he thinks the surge in unaccompanied children crossing the border is policy-based.

  30. So Ellian Gonzalez had to be deported back to Cuba because…

and the Left wants immigrants flooding across the south border because…

A lot of gears going on here.

  31. “much much much worse than the Carter administration.”

Having witnessed Carter spew vitriolic anti-Semitism in a televised interview there are few people who despise him more than I do. But you are absolutely right, neo. It is abundantly clear now that unchecked by the need to consider his re-election prospects Obama is pushing his agenda to the hilt, the Constitution and the country be damned.

  32. Don’t disagree with Dobbs. Our borders are now open — guards and agents are babysitters or as O Reilly says attending to “administrative tasks”. Barack Obama and his team will flood this country with illegals immigrants of indiscriminate backgrounds — not all children — and then he will leave office — job well done in his mind.

As for immigration reform via legislation, that is irrelevant. Obama does not enact change through separation of powers.

  33. Couldn’t we overrun the TV and radio stations in Latin America, informing them that parents who send their kids abroad will be charged with child neglect and abuse and be responsible for repaying the US for expenses when their child is here. I know this couldn’t be enforced across borders, but it should cause the parents to think again about what they thought would be an easy way to immigrate. We could even take DNA samples of the kids we pick up, so that parental identity could be confirmed later.

  34. We could even take DNA samples of the kids we pick up, so that parental identity could be confirmed later.

The coyotes would kidnap the children, if they haven’t already, and the parents would then have to pay a ransom. Compared to having their child receive US benefits, which one do you think they’ll pick?

  35. Mr. Frank:

Exactly and precisely what I was thinking. Not that it won’t affect the whole country, but especially Texas and Arizona.

Turning Texas blue has been a particular obsession of the Democrats lately. If Texas goes blue, they think they have a lock on the presidency for the foreseeable future. They may be right.

  36. There will be a day (or perhaps several years?) of reckoning. I have no crystal ball to tell me how it will turn out in the end, although I do know there will be much blood as guerrilla warfare comes to the messiah’s 57 states. What I find curious is why do they (the left) think we are less capable than ISIS towel heads? They need to take a trip to Kentucky and attempt to disarm the ‘folks’ clinging to their guns and bibles to experience what it will look like. Ain’t going to be purty. Red Dawn was a pathetic movie but it held a kernal of truth. At least 30 million will not go down without a terrible fight.

  37. I have a suggestion. No chance of it happening, but wouldn’t a law calling for all citizens who voted for Obama to step forward and take one or two of these children as their charges be appropriate? At last, a chance for democrats to actually do something rather than just have good intentions. The democrats would be responsible for the care, feeding, and education through college for these nice young Latinos. No expense to the taxpayer, of course. For those who didn’t vote for Obama – no responsibility whatsoever in the matter.

Along the same lines, I suggest a law calling for those who want GITMO closed to volunteer to adopt a jihadi. These fine specimens of humanity must be fed halal food have a prayer rug and orientation toward Mecca. Of course they must be afforded top notch medical care and plenty of time for playing soccer. The fact that they are trained to kill people with nail clippers or dental floss is a minor consideration. After all they aren’t a danger to those in the White House and we all know that’s what matters.

Forgive me, I’m just feeling a bit whimsical. It’s good to be alive.

  38. parker: Go down in a fight against whom? The radical armed Left? Their Divisions? The real question is where our generalship, our OberKomando Wehrmacht, stands on this. With them aboard it’s a slam dunk; without them, bloody and uncertain, since the military will be turned on the Rebs, the holders of the Constitution.

  39. “With them aboard it’s a slam dunk; without them, bloody and uncertain..”

America is a vast expanse of real estate; 30 or 15 or even 5 million resistors out number the entire military and all domestic fed LEOs. We know our local terrain. We willl become cells of 1,2, or 3 working independently. Plus, in general we are better shootists than all but the most elite sinpers of the special forces and even in this catagory there are civilians who out perform the military’s elite.

While we do not have air support, we are far smarter than the towel heads that have DC by the nuts under the messiah’s leadership. If it all comes down to dust the resitors will be fighting for their lives and for liberty, the others will be fighting for a paycheck. The manual for resistance was written by John Ross. Read it.

And if it happens, the next civil war will dwarf the first, and it will be up close and very personal. It will be burn down the houses of the enemy and shoot their entire family as they flee the fire. Everyone will know there is no quarter given or chance of surrender. If/when the left starts this war it will be shocked to discover the fact that the war will come to their trendy surburan homes and swank metropolition apartments.

  40. If “passing a law” could fix things, then we’re in the realm of democracy and politics. We’re not in the realm of democracy and politics, that phase went by the No Return Sign ages ago.
