So many great paintings. A print of Thomas Moran’s Shoshone Falls on the Snake River hung on the wall of my grandparent’s place in Idaho for many years.

Great short video! I gained a new appreciation for the art of the Hudson River school, both in the glimpses of the works themselves and in the context —cultural, social, political, economic— which they exemplify and actuate. L
That chapter in our national history was filled with remarkable events, passions and achievements; and painters like Cole and Church helped the country fulfill its promise.
