  1. Just imagine what a present day remake of this movie would be like. We have lost a lot in America

  2. Saw the stage version of the musical , Carousel, at a nearby college some time ago.
It really is a great show, great music with an interesting plot.

About 5 years ago or so, Carousel was performed live at Lincoln Center with a very impressive cast. Unfortunately I was unable to go see it in NYC.

  3. Democrats Promise to Wreck the Supreme Court

Mr. Raskin also has other ideas to bring the High Court low. He recently introduced a bill that would deny the Justices the power to choose which cases they hear. Under the SCCOTUS Act, petitions would be reviewed by a rotating committee of 13 random appellate judges. This is such a radical change that it’s hard to imagine all the implications.

  4. In my daily run-through of favorite sites, which, incidentally, includes this one, I go to babylonbee (fake news) then notthebee (real but often quirky news).

So yesterday I came across the following post. I had forgotten I had navigated to notthebee and assumed I was still looking at the Bee – it is that bizarre, to me, at least.

Apparently it’s limited to positions like town council. Still…

  5. Well, Iran has cut off negotiations over Israel invading Lebanon. Yet, just another delaying tactic. How much more does Trump need to see they aren’t serious and put Hesgeth back to work?
