Happy Easter Monday, when boys & men take special braided thin reed whips, korbac, and ceremonially whip the women with a little water, like a couple of spray bottle squirts. Or, for some of the over enthusiastic, buckets of water drenching the lovely young maidens so their clothes are soaking wet.
Bizarre, kinda fun custom in Slovakia, with explicit visiting of young men & young women, as well as grandsons & mothers & grandmothers.
My wife enjoys it when it’s mostly symbolic, with a visit that is real & includes food & sweets & (less frequently now, and less in cities) alcohol.
