The fat lady hasn’t quite finished singing on Russiagate

This week, we learned that the probe into the Russian conspiracy theory in Florida is moving forward with the disclosure that former FBI Director James Comey has been subpoenaed. What is different in this probe is that it is pursuing the real Russia conspiracy — the creation of a false narrative to kneecap the first Trump administration.
At issue is what could be the greatest political hit job in history. Of course, the growing evidence of this conspiracy continues to be buried by one of its key components: the media. Nevertheless, the “truth will out,” and it appears to be coming out in Florida.
That’s certainly optimistic. But how many people are still paying attention, and how many Democrats would change their minds on Russiagate at any point? Extremely few. Nevertheless, it’s good to hear that more is happening.
Ironically, the Washington Post and the New York Times received Pulitzer Prizes for their reporting promoting this Russian conspiracy hoax. The media spent years in wall-to-wall coverage of disproven allegations …
The true Pulitzer Prize-worthy story was staring the media in the face the whole time: a conspiracy to create a false conspiracy narrative to elect Clinton and later to derail the Trump administration. The latter effort succeeded with help from top intelligence figures.

How many of the same people who claimed Trump was working for Putin now claim he is working for Israel? And some where in there he is supposed to be working to build a “fascist”, America First “White Christian ” Nationalist movement. With him as the dictator.
To the extent that they’ll pay any attention to it at all, they’ll decry it—HYSTERICALLY—as illegal, weaponized, political vengeance on the part of the Trump Monster and his RACIST, WHITE-SUPREMACIST, CRIMINAL anti-American regime.

(We all know, don’t we? that a significant chunk of the country has already gone way, way through the looking glass. And the Truth can be so, so inconvenient—just ask Humpty Dumpty…)
Nothing really new with Turley’s piece. One key bridge that he maybe should have pointed out was that Peter Strzok, was, by fall, a branch chief in the Counterintelligence Division of the FBI, and was in charge of both the Clinton email (Midyear Exam) and their Trump/Russia interference (Crossfire Hurricane) investigations. They sabotaged the first, and created the second, from thin air, at the repeated suggestion of the Clinton campaign (to counter MidYear Exam).
Meanwhile, Lisa Page wasn’t just any FBI attorney, but rather DD Andrew McCabe’s private FBI atty. And was the primary conduit between the two of them. Much of their planning was done around McCabe’s $75k conference room table.
The pair of them appear to have thought up D Comey’s famous exoneration of Clinton, and the Mueller Investigation of Trump – which both eventually joined. This was likely the pass off of the FBI’s illegally obtained RussiaGate evidence (likely including from the year long surveillance pursuant to the 4 FISA warrants, targets likely including POTUS Trump himself). Weissman, et al, protected this from disclosure through continued threats of Obstruction prosecutions. It was likely moved to the House, when the Dems took control in 2018. In any case, it appears that it wasn’t destroyed when Strzok made his move to Mueller, but rather was just well hidden – in burn bags in a hidden room at FBI HQ and in hidden accounts in the FBI case management system.

I would say the same for Watergate. Woodward and Bernstein missed — or covered up — the real story.
