  1. RE: Russia Trump Hoax

Nobody has been held accountable; no one – realistically – has been indicted.

Now it turns out that secret files have been located at the FBI that show investigations that were kept totally secret from most members of the FBI, from Congress and from the DOJ. Though it’s hard to believe that the FBI directors and his direct reports did not know of this.
Let me guess; no one will be held accountable for this either.

Makes me wonder if the entire case against Joe McCarthy – the hard core anti-communist senator from Wisconsin – was an organized deep state operation to smear and slander McCarthy because he was a real threat to embeded communists and their sympathizers within the DC bureacracy or within the executive branch of govt.

Not that long ago I never, ever would have even thought this, but recent events in DC clearly show there are 5th Columnist elements within our govt that will mobilize as they see fit to destroy any individual they deem a danger to their interests.

  2. Foil boards are not that new, but it is a fascinating concept in watersports that I hadn’t really appreciated.

I used to windsurf, and had graduated to higher wind short boards. There is a thing called “pumping” where you sort of flap the sail back and forth in an effort to gain speed and get your board planing quicker or more completely. When I first heard of it, I thought “That really works?”

It does work, and part of it is that there is a strong nonlinear element. The board has much more drag in the water when it is not planing, compared to when it rises up and planes. When you pull inward and downward on the sail, the sail is supporting most of your bodyweight for a moment and the board pops up on top of the water more easily and may begin to plane.

Now there are all these variations: Kites pulling boards, wings instead of sails powering boards. Boards with hydrofoils and then adding your choice of a sail, wing, or kite. Even motorized electric foilboards.

But I hadn’t seen this: A foilboard powered only by leg “pumping.”

It’s more than just a brief stunt. She can keep it going for some time.

    About Alina (from Wiki):
Kornelli was born in Munich in 2000 with dual Austrian/German nationality. Her supportive parents are Sabine, an Austrian from Sankt Georgen an der Gusen, and her father, a German windsurfer named Dietmar “Didi” Kornelli. Her elder brother Julian Kornelli [de] became an ice hockey player in Germany.

She was also active as a snowboarder in the Bavarian snowboard squad. In 2015 she became the German youth champion in the snowboard cross competition and later the Bavarian champion twice. She gave up snowboarding in 2017 – said she preferred water to snow because the water was better to fall on.
