Clapper’s crew threatened the Russiagate whistleblower
And is anyone surprised?
From Margot Cleveland:
A crony of then-Director of National Intelligence (DNI) James Clapper threatened to withhold a promotion from a senior intelligence official unless he concurred in the fake Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) on Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election, notes obtained exclusively by The Federalist show.
And why did they fail to burn the burn bags which apparently contained some further incriminating material?

Only can think somehow a misstep, or hoped someone else would destroy them.
This Coup d’etat will someday go down as the darkest event in the country but still no one has been indictment for it yet.

This is starting to show active concealment, which may allow prosecutors to get around the statute of limitations issues.
At the same time, we still need an underlying crime. So far, the actions of Comey, Clapper, Brennan, and the gang are horrific abuses of power, but don’t appear to be criminal. Obstructing the investigation or specifically obstructing Durham? Maybe, but I still doubt there’s a good case there. Lying to Congress? Maybe, but people at the level of Brennan, Clapper, and Comey are usually sophisticated enough to avoid direct lies. (And members of Congress are usually either not careful enough questioners to nail down witnesses, or more interested in creating a sound byte than they are in creating a record to establish a crime.)
Another potential avenue – might Trump, or someone else in his orbit, have a civil rights cause of action against Comey, Clapper, Brennan, or even Obama? It might even be tried in FL.
Big breakthrough on a related front – my local lib-rag newspaper has done its very first article on the recent testimony to Congress of Biden aides, concerning his mental fitness!
It featured a strident denial by a long-time Biden buddy, and noted way down at the end that some other White House officials have recently taken the fifth! This all happened a couple of weeks ago of course. These things can’t be rushed!
This piece was placed on the last page of the “local” section of the news, separated completely from the international and national news, and right before the comics and sports! What a joke!
Re Russo-Obamagate:
Besides exposure and justice for Obama, Comey, Brennan, and the smaller fish, I would like to see exposure and consequences for any bigger fish behind Obama who may be implicated, i.e. the Soros organizations, etc.
Yeah, I’ve never really understood why these conspirators would choose to keep such information around. Maybe to use it potentially as some sort of leverage against a co-conspirator(s) for some reason? General arrogance and stupidity I suppose too.
PS – Wouldn’t it be nice if the Strike Force could also bring Hilary Clinton to justice?
Soros is 94 years old, but of course it shouldn’t matter in the eyes of the law. Emperor Palpatine’s advanced age didn’t stop Darth Vader from chucking him down the shaft to the core of the Death Star after all.
@neo: And why did they fail to burn the burn bags which apparently contained some further incriminating material?
We don’t know how much material they did successfully burn or destroy.
Look at the bright side — maybe they were only slightly incompetent. 🙂
Cracks. Things. Slip through.
How can conspiracy against the US government NOT be a crime?
Or maybe that should be fine-tuned to,
How can conspiracy to subvert and thwart the US government NOT be a crime?
Let’s try this:
How can conspiracy to weaponize US government agencies in order to subvert and thwart the US government NOT be a crime?
Other?
It was a coup, or insurrection.
It occurs to me that there may rules associated with using burn bags, and a record of some sort. I’m just guessing, but while it is logical that spooks use burn bags, it would also be logical that the spook bosses don’t want to completely lose control of who is doing what in the destruction of material.
It is odd that material got into some bags, but the bags weren’t burned. Maybe there are rules connected to that last step that either resulted in a snafu, or another potentially revealing record of events.
There was a book written about this called “A Conspiracy of Dunces”
Or Confederacy
it’s probably not true, but I have this fantasy that there’s a group of people who subverted the process of transporting the burn bags to the incinerator.
I think Yara’s guess is the correct story. Somebody wanted these to be found, and may well have let whoever found them know where they were. Somebody honest but fearful of retribution from the bad guys still imbedded in the FBI and IC.
I’d like to think there are some patriots still at the FBI who were disgusted at these actions. And if they were assigned to burn the files, well, they just hid them somewhere.
This whole thing seems silly to me. The Durham Report was classified. Who had access? Not only the President, but many Congressmen serving on committees in an official capacity. And of course I guess some within the I.C. and FBI would have had access. Let’s see a list of people that have read the unredacted report ! Now that it’s unclassified, it shouldn’t be an issue – right? That would clarify who read it at the time and was aware. I think that would be eye-opening in retrospect.
Now to address the ‘Al Capone’s Vault’ part. Does anybody really think there was a secret stash of documents in a secret room in FBI headquarters? Is that really believable? Is the Administration really saying that these paper copies of classified material which were in burn bags, are the only such copies in existence? They have implied that this is so – but nobody has explicitly said so. There could be many reasons for this happenstance – the close of an investigation, for instance, where the routine destruction of work documents was scheduled but overlooked.
But we are being led to think somebody carefully collected these as evidence to be destroyed, to keep secrets about a conspiracy or something. Or to have their own stash of incriminating evidence. There’s a series of data points laid out, for you to draw a conclusion on your own, that there was a conspiracy to kneecap Trump and this is part of a coverup, the hiding of key documents. Now, I am a long time believer that this is in fact the case, there was a dirty tricks campaign against Trump that got way out of hand – But there is nothing so far to suggest that any of this ‘document haul’ is proof of that. I think it’s a whipped up drama, Made for TV and ‘clicks’, and I find it very disappointing. I hope we have more clarity quickly.
Much like the 28 pages showed the 9-11 commission how useless was by its omission this showed the deliberate acr of malice behind the ica crafting
Can there be charges and proper convictions thats a different issue
Re burn bags.
A lot of overthinking going on here. The reality is that sloth by underlings explains things.
Burn bags require confederate burn witnessing. And routins can get neglected through turnover of personel.
Such are the facts of bureaucratic life, according to people who’ve been there, done
that, like Terrence Popp, former Army Green
Beret.
Aggie sows doubt on Kash Patel: “Does anybody really think there was a secret stash of documents in a secret room in FBI headquarters? Is that really believable?”
Two plausible points in the story you’re missing to claim implausibility.
First, a secret and unsearchable “Annex” to bury documents is unprecedented in FIB management.
Second, Patrl has pointed out that only the planned move of th FBI to new headquarters resulted in the re-surfacing of this document-Ark.
In other words, highly exceptional circumstances created the Great Reveal. Not strange or Angelic actors.
Don Lueders:

Why is anyone surprised!
Where did you find this guy (Lueders)?
He is simply amazing!
(I started scrolling down his X-feed…and lo and behold…absolute wonderment…)
Margot Cleveland linked him, Barry. Cat knows his stuff.
Lueders,
Classified info which supposedly has more of a trackability, has disappeared into the ether, what would make the FBI records any different.
“In other words, highly exceptional circumstances created the Great Reveal. Not strange or Angelic actors.“
The Lord moves in mysterious ways or something.
