Something I missed was the death last October of Kenneth Jess Porter in Rockwell, Tx, a suburb of Dallas. He was 86 years old and his family elected not to publish an obituary more elaborate than a death notice. He worked in the building trades. He’s survived by his wife of 59 years. Between the two, they had three children and (one assumes) grandchildren. His wife was born Marina Prusakova and grew up in a small city on Russia’s Arctic coast. She arrived in the United States in 1960 and was employed in pharmacies around Dallas during her work life. She’s known to the public because she was for three years married to Lee Harvey Oswald.
The Internet seems split on whether only venomous snakes are “danger noodles” or “nope ropes”, or if those terms include non venomous snakes like constrictors.
I have no idea why Rupert Murdoch gave the go ahead for that story to be published. Perhaps he’s mad about the potentially huge loss of revenue if big pharma is dissallowed from making TV commercials on Fox News or something? The few times I’ve watched Fox News over the past years it certainly seemed like every other commercial was for some drug.

The letter, even if genuine, is hardly scandalous. Wonder why the other 199 names aren’t newsworthy. No doubt just a bunch of reflexologists from Boca, couldn’t possibly include Bill Clinton or any other well known name on the Left.
No, the legacy media just wants to put the names “Epstein” and “Trump” in as close proximity as they can for any reason or none.

Yes, I too see lots of commercials for prescription-required drugs. The expressed intent is for a viewer to bug his doc to prescribe it for the patient, the viewer necessarily ignorant of drug interactions. Uhh, not doc but “caregiver”. Note the “giver”. Sure, speak with your “caregiver”; as if he/she has nothing better to do.
I also cannot help but note that ~50% of drug commercial actors are black, versus the actual 13%, always seen in happy marriages in high-end single family homes beautifully furnished, though some 50% of real marriages end in divorce, fewer blacks marry, and median black income is substantially less than white’s.
So Big Pharma CEOs are pushing PC-approved social change.
Neo watches PBS !
I am looking for the link and can’t find it offhand. The report said that the WSJ had seen only an image of the alleged Trump letter, not the item itself. Is this reporting or second-hand gossip? WSJ on the “news” side has been deteriorating for some years.
Plus, as N.C. points out above, it’s not particularly scandalous. Trump was acquainted with Epstein in the early 2000s and reportedly cut off the relationship once he became aware of Epstein’s preferences for very young girls.
Sam Faddis calls attention to a Nov 24 Wired magazine 9 min video report investigating a Near Intelligence effort to track the pattern of life of over 200 cell phones that traveled to and from Epstein’s island from 2016 – 2019. Many questions are left unanswered, chief among them is who hired Near Intelligence and why.
Over the years Trump has become thoroughly inoculated to these types of attacks to the point that even if such a story is actually true it doesn’t really matter since few people of consequence will actually believe it anyway who already don’t “believe” anything negative about Trump by default. The legacy media has been caught peddling falsehoods so many times now (in particular regarding anything to do with Trump) that they’ve burned all their credibility about such stories. One might argue that the only thing a bit different this time is that it’s coming from the Wall Street Journal, but that hardly matters that much given how far that once great paper has descended.

@Art Deco:Do you ever wonder if researchers in Wuhan engineered COVID viruses in such a way that they did not attack Orientals?
Must have been one that never got out of the lab, then, because a lot of Chinese and other “Orientals” died from the one in 2020. Yeah, I know, Commies lie, but too many Americans have relatives in China, and then you’ve got Korea and Japan etc. Not to mention that China has dozens of national minorities some of which are not closely related to Han. The level of specificity needed to kill only non-Han “Orientals” but not Chinese national minorities is, I think, well outside anything that can be done outside of fiction. And of course if it mutates to lose the specificity? There’d be selection pressure for that, a huge population to infect.
Something analogous was the plot of Robert Heinlein’s “Sixth Column”, though, a form of radiation that only targeted “Orientals”.

Proportionately to their populations of elderly, chronically ill, and obese, given Chinese draconian techniques of lockdown (house to house teams spraying bleach and killing pets, military quarantine of cities, forcibly confining people to their homes)?
But that’s a shifting of the goalposts from “engineered COVID viruses in such a way that they did not attack Orientals”. If such a thing that you hypothesize exists I think it must still be in the lab.
Japan’s death rate was 600 per million, Korea’s was 693 per million, Taiwan’s 739, China’s supposedly 85.
I can believe an underreported death rate, I can believe different age/chronic condition/obesity rates in the populations, I can believe draconian lockdown measures, I can believe in a synergistic combination of the three. But I can’t believe in a virus so specifically tuned that it kills Japanese, Koreans, and Taiwanese but not Chinese. In addition, plenty of Caucasian nations had death rates lower than Japan, Taiwan, Korea: Iceland, Iraq, Greenland, Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States…

Cue the Mission Impossible theme.
I doubt I’ve watched PBS more than twice in the last twenty years, both for concerts. The only time after childhood I watched it regularly was in the early seventies, and that was for British shows like I, Claudius and Monty Python’s Flying Circus.
We all know the Reagan quote
“No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we’ll ever see on this earth!”
Federal funding for NPR began in 1971.
NPR’s CEO Katherine Maher called the cuts in federal funding an irreversible loss to the public radio system.
96.7% of U.S. households have at least one television.
92% of U.S. households have Internet service.
90% of U.S. adults have a smart phone.
The “public radio system?!” There barely is such a thing as a public radio system in 2025 America. What percentage of Americans have switched on a radio in the past 30 days? Even in automobiles many people use Spotify, Pandora, audio books, podcasts and/or Sirius XM rather than the car’s radio tuner.
The initial purpose for the government funding national public radio has been completely eliminated by changes in technology and Americans’ listening habits. You would think an effective CEO would recognize that. If NPR were a private entity it would have either shifted its business model a decade ago or gone the way of the Dodo.
DNI Gabbard’s own multipart thread on her document release (which see):
Americans will finally learn the truth about how in 2016, intelligence was politicized and weaponized by the most powerful people in the Obama Administration to lay the groundwork for what was essentially a years-long coup against President @realDonaldTrump, subverting the will of the American people and undermining our democratic republic. Here’s how:[…]
These documents detail a treasonous conspiracy by officials at the highest levels of the Obama White House to subvert the will of the American people and try to usurp the President from fulfilling his mandate.
Lee Smith piece titled, yes, “The Brennan Forgery“, subheaded “Did Obama’s CIA director falsify evidence showing Russiagate was a hoax?”.
Last week CIA director John Ratcliffe referred former CIA director John Brennan to the FBI for a criminal investigation. Some reports claim the referral relates to Brennan’s potentially perjuring himself before congress. But on Wednesday President Trump may have pointed to another direction the FBI probe may take. In an interview with reporter John Solomon, Trump said he would declassify an annex to the May 2023 report filed by John Durham, the special prosecutor appointed during Trump’s first term to investigate Russiagate.
The annex, according to Solomon, deals with the “Clinton Plan intelligence” — and, says Solomon, “lawmakers and Durham have suggested it would provide damning evidence to any prosecutor.” Trump told Solomon “I will absolutely declassify it.”
So Big Pharma CEOs are pushing PC-approved social change.
I’d tend to say that their ad companies are pushing PC-approved social change. Although Big Pharma is certainly complicit; even if they aren’t doing so with intention, they’re allowing the social change message to be piggy-backed onto their advertisement. And probably not even getting a discount from the ad agency for doing so.
Re: Evolutionary arms race
There is a great theory explaining the Cambrian Explosion in which there was a sudden huge explosion of new lifeforms approximately 540 million years ago. This has mystified evolutionary biologists. Some Intelligent Design proponents have pointed to the Cambrian Explosion as a possible example of Intelligent Design.
The theory is known as the “Light Switch Theory.” The Earth was coming out of its last Snowball phase, which meant more light was reaching the ocean depths. Some arthropods had developed vision. and suddenly all lifeforms had to worry about being seen and preyed upon.
Prey developed some vision and defenses like shells and spines. Predators evolved better vision and increased mobility. The evolutionary arms race was on and went into overdrive.
Voilà … the Cambrian Explosion.

And of course that the judges issuing these rulings have to be identified (if for no other reason than to pursue appeals?)
[FISA courts with a national security flavor being an exception ?? Or not exactly??]

There are so many court cases in so many jurisdictions. Anything covered by a settlement is sealed. Anything that would affect Ghislaine Maxwell’s appeals are kept secret. What grand juries looked at is secret. Etc.
You can, if you wish, compile all that information about which courts had what and which judges issued what rulings–as you point out that is recorded somewhere. If you’re lucky there’s some Substack or something where someone has already done it. I doubt you would get that kind of exhaustive detail out of one media article but if you looked over several years of legacy media from 2019 on I bet you could eventually get there.
