Pakistan recommends Trump for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize — 14 Comments

  1. Maybe it’s just me but I suspect that Pakistan has some ulterior motive here. Not that I wouldn’t love to see Trump awarded the NPP and then reject it because it was devalued by Arafat and Obama.

  2. Well the sharifs and the boys of aapbara who helped depose imran khan usually have an angle but it did forestall a mild nuclear exchange

There was also the formalizing of the rwanda congo deal this week

  3. @FOAF: Maybe it’s just me but I suspect that Pakistan has some ulterior motive here.

    Trump is the Strong Horse.

  4. Snow on Pine:

I caught wind of that a few hours ago on more questionable sites but it is true. Even wiki says so and quotes Trump:

We have completed our very successful attack on the three nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I had a feeling Trump wasn’t going to give Iran two weeks to FAFO.

  5. Not sure where to place this extraordinarily moving, intelligent article, but the current post—on Pakistan, Trump and the Nobel Peace Prize—will have to do…

“I Taught My Students the ‘Iliad.’ Then They Went to War.
“Ancient war stories become startlingly modern in classrooms filled with soldiers returning from battle.”—

  6. @ Barry – thank you so much for the link to “Reading Home after October 7” — that was an outstanding, and very insightful article.

  7. Pleasure…
(Something very special…though perhaps easily overlooked….)
