We paid for my Wife’s wedding dress, it was from a gently used shop. Guess we did OK, married 57 years last Sun.
The royal family need to hire people who can negotiate these contractors down.
@SHIREHOME: … married 57 years last Sun.
Congratulations! I appreciate those who can play the long game.
congratulations,
Well done Shirehome & Mrs S!
And I thought our approaching 36th was something to crow about 😉
Thanks for a next milestone for which to aim!
Thank you all. I am not sure we will make it to 58. We will know more tomorrow about the progress/or hopefully not, of my Wife’s cancer.
SHIREHOME:
Best of luck.
It’s great to hear about marriages that last over a half-century! Hooray to you!
I had to sit out a few days, so missed this yesterday.
Congratulations to Shirehome & his lovely bride, and best wishes going forward.
AesopSpouse and I hit 50 in May, and I made my own dress, from a pattern used in a theatrical production we did that spring.
Hemmed the skirt by placing it on my Dad’s home-made pool table (runs in the family!) and all the family women took seats around the edge to stitch.
