Ah, this was a great song. I wonder if he was really ten years old when he picked up his first real six string at the five and dime. I was a teenager when I got mine at the hock shop.
One of the great things about growing up in northern Montana was getting to hear great Canadian bands on the Canadian radio stations (which came in more loudly than the American stations because we were 12 miles south of the border) before they were played on US radio stations.
I’m rather more into this sort of stuff.
