Elissa Slotkin isn’t hiding her intent — 22 Comments

  1. I was visiting my friend in the east SF bay area last weekend. A big intersection several blocks from her house is the prime location for large gatherings of “No Kings” demonstrators. Including last weekend. No Kings! Save Our Democracy! Plus, placards even dumber than those.

The only time in my historical understanding that a president was threatening king-like behavior was with FDR. Hugely popular, elected 3 times, successfully converted the SCOTUS from correctly blocking his king-like actions to one that allowed them (Wickard v. Filburn), devalued the dollar and effectively defaulted on US debt, and the impetus for a constitutional amendment limiting a president to two terms.

The Dems now correctly realize that they can essentially “sell refrigerators to Eskimos” with the media they own and their radicalized base.

  2. J.D. Vance is at a rally near me right now. I noticed that on the Next Door app there were lots of nasty comments about him. And yet this area consistently votes Republican. Leftist are not afraid to be vocal and in-your-face, while conservatives cool their breaths but vote.

  3. I suppose Slotkin doesn’t realize that she’s going to be cited in every lawsuit launched against the right for years to come. Each one is going to use the defense of illegal political targeting.

  4. What a wretched woman! One of the Seditious Six, who called on our military troops to revolt against the Commander in Chief.

  5. “I think the “admitting it” part comes from Slotkin’s belief that the left has successfully implanted the idea in the minds of half the country (or more?) that this administration is not just one with which the left disagrees, but is in fact evil and must be stopped by any means. The survival of “our democracy” depends on it. ”

This!!! And successful they have been. Every person I know who is a Democrat fervently believes the above statement, and that is literally half the country. I know they have been painting any GOP POTUS as such, especially since Bush, but it certainly has ramped up in the last decade, and will continue.

Trump won the popular vote in 2024. The glass is half full. Keep fighting the good fight!

  7. The ever-essential Data Republican lays out the Democratic Party plot of comprehensive, inexorable subterfuge…and VICTORY, so as to resume, and complete, their so-rudely-interrupted demolition of the Republic:

  8. Slotkin’s Threat to Young Conservatives Blows Up in Her Face. Her Response Makes It Even Worse.Slotkin dixit:

“Spare me the pearl-clutching — especially from Republican Members of Congress and online MAGA grifters who have cheered President Trump’s weaponization of the government against those he doesn’t like, as recently as last week.”

Weaponization of government against those he didn’t like? Such as the case of classified documents against Trump, when Biden’s classified documents case wasn’t pursued because he was senile? On and on.
Or the multi-year sentences handed out for Jan 6, when rioters in Minneapolis etc. got away scot-free? Ad infinitum or is that ad nauseum?

I would add that Slotkin’s directing military subordinates to refuse to obey the commands of their superiors was at least worth investigating. Note that it was decided not to bring it to trial. A rather weak example of “weaponization,” is it not?

  9. Slotkin was CIA. The folks who kid Covid origin, participated in the Tump russiagate hoax.
    Not on our side.
Was clear when she announced her candidacy.

  10. It’s not totalitarian, fascistic or Marxist when they do it, for the good of “the people, and justice.”

Power and one of its corrupted, Elyssa. The AWFL Brides of Frankenstein.

  11. The lie the left has always told is that their totalitarianism is because of “X” and only “X.” Here, POTUS Trump = all values of “X.”
We know that’s the lie. They know we know, but still they lie because the goal is utter domination.

  12. “so much of left-wing thought is a kind of playing with fire my people who don’t even know that fire is hot…” George Orwell

  13. She’s rich. Her dad sold Ballpark Franks for big bucks.

Mom and dad divorced when mom came out as lesbo. Daughter lived with mom and the house was some kind of LGBTQ sanctuary.

Ivy League degree from Cornell; if that still counts.

Lots of things to dislike about this woman. Whack job.

  14. Looks like dad sold the company in 1969 for $9m. She must be angry that dad sold too early and that’s why she wants to destroy America.

  15. Cornhead
Ivy League degree from Cornell; if that still counts.

That depends on what school you graduated from at Cornell. My niece w the 800 SAT Verbal graduated from the College of Arts and Sciences. Prestigious, but she didn’t have to work very hard.

Slotkin graduated from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, a publicly supported land-grant school, with a degree in Rural Sociology. Not so prestigious. Think flagship state U when you think of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Another graduate of Cornell’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences is that famed intellectual Keith Olbermann, who got a degree in Communications. A childhood friend graduated from Cornell’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. There is no way that he would have been admitted to Cornell’s Engineering or College of Arts and Sciences.(1300 SATs and 3.0 GPA)

The younger brother of a childhood friend applied to Cornell’s College of Arts and Sciences. The College of Engineering sent him a letter offering him a full scholarship. He had no interest in becoming an engineer, which was apparent in his application to Cornell. So why the full ride offer? He had been born in Puerto Rico, as his father was working there at the time of his birth. But because his birth place was Puerto Rico, he fit the diversity quota.

Slotkin got a Master’s from Columbia, so that helps her prestige bonafides.
