More on the Ilhan Omar investigation
It gallops apace. What will come of it, nobody knows.
But here’s the latest:
We’ve reported that at least two investigations are ongoing: one involving immigration questions and another involving financial disclosures. Now there are new reports that what’s being looked into may be even broader than people generally believe. NewsNation’s Leland Vittert claimed that the raid on Omar’s home was just the most conspicuous of more than a dozen raids. He also reported that federal agents allegedly went dumpster diving in Omar’s trash for DNA and that “likely coming indictments will be stunning in nature,” according to his sources.
I’ll believe it when I see it.
Her sister is being investigated as well:
Meanwhile, Omar’s older sister, Sahra Noor, who is supposed to be on a tour promoting her book about her life as a Somali immigrant, was scheduled to be at a book tour stop at the University of Minnesota Rochester on Thursday night.
Except, according to reports, she skipped the event due to a “family emergency,” amid all the action going on. Noor has allegedly been subpoenaed in the investigation.
Now there is a report from the New York Times that the sister’s phone was seized before the raid on Omar’s home.
I have little doubt there’s something – or probably many things – crooked in Ilhan Omar’s presentation. Whether she will be prosecuted for it (or them) is another question entirely. Omar has been immune from serious consequences for a long time, mostly because she can play the race card and the discrimination card any time she wants, and has done so very successfully for many years.
Omar hasn’t been spotted all week.

This case is getting broader and deeper than I ever imagined. My belief is that these vaguely connected family units typical of Somalia involving child btides and incest marriages are being pursued in Omar’s case to prove a warning to the 80,000 Somalian community in Minnesota, already proven to be a cesspool for fraud against the Feds and State.

I imagine it has to do with
– left-leaners making sweeping, absolutist assertions that end up being in need of being walked back (heaven forfend, mon Dieu!) but pretty rarely are, and
– left-leaners being blissfully unaware of countervailing facts, which likewise are in need of being walked back (but the bliss will continue blissfully unabated).
Right-leaners generally are more aware of the arguments put forth by the left-leaners, than vice versa, owing in large part to the communications hegemony enjoyed by the left-leaners [yes, yes, yes, Fox News and all of those type guys notwithstanding].
The govt thrives on investigations. Convictions? Not so much.
Reports are that the rats have been scurrying off the sinking ship and will testify against Omar…

Of course this involves selective prosecution. It’s needed after what Merrick Garland and Jack Smith did. 640,000 credit card receipts for MAGA voters, because we bought Trump hats. 4 BS criminal prosecutions of Trump, along with at least two successful BS civil suits.
Turns out, with little surprise here, that powerful Dem politicians tend, by their nature of their party, to be significantly dirtier, than the corresponding Republicans. From JFK pimping out his WH aides, to Pelosi’s insider trading, to the Clintons and Biden’s selling out our National interests for $$$$, it’s just the way it works. Republicans very often make their money, then go into politics, while Dems go into politics to make their money, and to get laid.
My point is that the Dems weaponized the. Judicial system, really starting under Obama, Holder, and his DAG, Sally Yates (who, among other things, blew open access to our massive intelligence databases, through FISA abuse, to get access for Dem political operatives). Winning is everything, because the winner gets the spoils, and that includes covering up their crimes and incarcerating or bankrupting their political opponents. So many lines have been crossed. So many taboos violated.
Ilhan Omar Is one of the Squad. A group of young legislators rapidly growing in power. AOC, another member, is even considering running for President. They are very possibly the future of the Dem party. And deporting Rep Omar would probably be a big wake-up call for the remaining mainstream Dems, and the party’s leadership. It’s for the in terrorem effect, that I think they are doing this.

Usually change comes gradually, then suddenly. We’re still in the gradually phase, but who knows.
The Omar investigation is at least a step or two in the right direction and puts more heat on these bad actors and puts more questions in the public’s mind. The Somali fraudsters are surely sweating more than a bit and looking for cover.
Tim Walz didn’t get his perp walk either, but he’s not vice-president, and he’s not governor. His career is finished and his memory severely damaged.
Likewise Joe Biden.

Bauxite, I don’t know what criminal violations they are investigating. With Omar, there might be several kinds. However, so far as I know, civil de-naturalization and deportation do not require criminal charges at all and there is no statute of limitations. If her father, or she, lied in claiming asylum and gaining citizenship, she can be removed without further ado. And should be.
Regarding “family reunification through chain migration,” I recall an article some years back. A Somali in Minneapolis was boasting of how he’d jiggered the chain migration process to bring 50 “relatives” from his “extended family” to the US. DNA testing may put the kibosh on that.
