It’s been one of those days.
(1) Speaking of Bin Laden … which some of you were, in this thread from yesterday –
I am reminded that I had seen a comment that appeared at Instapundit the other day about him. Here’s the part that caught my attention:
Beyond the obvious that he was a mass murderer, Bin Laden was a piece of sh*t con man. Bin Ladin was basically an Arab Luigi, only he had a lot more money and was not quite as retarded as Luigi. He was a rich kid poser, who grew up in one of the richest families in Saudi Arabia living in absolute luxury that allowed him to indulge in every sort of luxury belief, in Bin Laden’s case whack job Muslim Brotherhood theology rather the usual Marxism. Then when it came time to act on those beliefs, Bin Laden was happy to let other people fly planes into buildings while he ran for his life and hide out in Pakistan. Real brave guy. Certainly someone whose thoughts on world affairs everyone needs to hear.
The comparison to Luigi and the DSA rich-kid lefties is quite apt, actually. Bin Laden became an active jihadi during the Russian-Afghan War, when he was in his mid-20s (he was born in 1957). But he was raised in great wealth and had inherited a great deal of money when he was very young, and was also highly educated.
(2) That entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well in today’s youth. For example:

Thirteen of the charged defendants were Penn State University students at or around the time of the alleged conduct, in 2023 and 2024. According to the investigation and a grand jury presentment, Abbatiello and Thomas Robinson were the main suppliers for the criminal organization, making”> regular trips to Philadelphia and New York for large quantities of cocaine.
Well, tuition is high these days.
(3) What a novel idea – the Census Bureau checked voting records against citizenship records for 128 million 2020 voters, and has found 24K noncitizens who voted. Fancy that.

(4) There was a massive earthquake in Indonesia yesterday, an area of frequent earthquakes. RIP to the victims.

I guess Biden or Biden’s autopen forgot to pardon him.

I’ve always thought there was something suspicious about the 2020 election. Per Wikipedia there were 209 million registered voters that year, and Biden got 81.3 million votes, Trump 74.2. Even leaving aside the other candidates a turnout of 155.5 million votes against 209 million voters equates to a 74.4% turnout. That never happens.
I tell me brother, who has voted Democrat since 2008, that I am not a conspiracy theorist. But I am a “things are not adding up” theorist.

When confronted with ‘things not adding up’ intellectual honesty demands it not be ignored or cavalierly dismissed. In fact, doing so is a sure sign of at best, willful blindness, which is the mildest form of intellectual dishonesty. At worst, active collusion in sedition and treason. In labeling it sedition & treason, I use the Roman Cicero’s implied definition rather than the Constitution’s, which requires the condition of the treason happening during an active war.

Ours are no different
1. The 2020 election was stolen. The U.S. election system has third-world levels of corruption, and will continue to for the foreseeable future. No one with the power to change this cares. We should repeal the 17th Amendment (as well as the 16th).
2. Fauci will never be held responsible for anything. Neither will big pharma. There will be a few token prosecutions used to say, “Look, we’re doing something.” None of the big players, nor the whole system that created this disaster will change.
3. The Republican House can be pretty good at passing things that need to be passed, but the Republican Senate almost always fails its constituents. All they do is make excuses. I guess that’s why the Senate is called “the world’s greatest debilitated body”, or something like that. The Republicans are doing their darnedest to lose in November. They will be probably be successful. And we’ll still be at war with Iran.
4. The Iranians are making Trump look like a fool, because they know they can keep calling his bluff indefinitely. (And this is coming from a big Trump supporter). If he destroyed all the country’s infrastructure like he keeps threatening to do, it would rightly be called a war crime, and he would end his Presidency even faster than he’s ending it now. They know that, and they know he’s just about run out of things to blow up. Trump will continue to announce agreements or cease fires or whatever. The mullahs and IRGC will continue to flout the rules. I don’t know. Maybe the 17th time’s the charm.
5. The U.S. will look like England in 10 years if we don’t stop electing Muslims to office. 25 years after 9/11, New York has a Muslim Mayor. ‘Nuff said.
6. The DSA will implode eventually, but there’s no telling how much damage they will do on the way down. I’m betting a lot. (See #5)

My guess is that Morens and most of the other collaborators didn’t have anything with which to blackmail the Bidens and buy protection.
PS Did Biden pardon Fauci’s wife, his supposed bureaucratic superior in charge of ethics?
