Confessions of a former DSA organizer
If you watch only one video on the DSA, I strongly suggest this one. It’s an interview with a former member from back when the organization was advocating more of a European-style welfare state. He watched it morph almost overnight into the extreme left-wing group it is now, and dates the change to around 2014-2015. He is very angry, and has dedicated himself to fighting DSA, even to the point of supporting its opponents on the right such as Michigan’s Mike Rogers.
It’s definitely worth a listen, IMHO:

I was watching Jesse Waters on Fox roughly a week ago, and he was talking about these DSA and hard left politicians who are winning primaries and making these lavish pie-in-the-sky promises. Then he said, “These politicians are NOT in the results business.”
That’s very concise, possibly too concise, but it cuts to the heart of much of what is wildly wrong with these candidates. They have no experience in achieving major changes or accomplishments of any sort.
I haven’t finished neo’s posted video (Sennacherib has enticed me to do so) but this related section caught my ear.
In part, it’s also about practical life experience. You can’t work in the labor movement and not come to the realization that people are incredibly flawed, and that our institutions are so fragile, and that they’re held together by so few adults in the room. You do not want to turn these institutions over to children who have never run anything, and who have had their bank accounts filled by their parents for their entire lives.
A vote for DSA puts your future at great risk!

He seems to credit aging, growing older, more experienced for that. In short, maturity.
It’s a coherent explanation. Almost EVERY DSA type elected is quite clueless and inexperienced. Ever since AOC won her Brooklyn seat to Congress, in fact.
Wow, I voted Democrat for a number of years, even voted for Clinton twice, although I had to kind of hold my nose the second time. I guess I am pretty much a God and Country type of guy, college educated, married to two women college educated during the years, four years in the Army, 1966 -1970 and very worn out when that mess wound down. I liked the idea of Bush II until he got us stuck into another war we did not win and since then I have held my nose and voted Republican most all of the time and I am getting concerned about the current fracas in Iran. What a damn mess trying to come to terms with people who will never agree to terms and keep their word because that has nothing to do with their culture. Now I am watching these dangerous silly shit people who are plain old commie radicals getting traction here in our nation.
I understand the desire for better working conditions like the European countries which is kind of mild socialism. My last four years before I retired I worked for a German company and having run my own company for years I was amazed and pleased when the first year I had six paid holidays, one week vacation, one week of personal time off I could take one day at a time and two weeks of sick time. Each year I gained another week of vacation and that was rather sweet along with a nice health insurance for me and my wife which was a fraction of what I had been paying as a retired person who had cancer a few times. I do understand enjoying working for benefits and not being the guy who signed paychecks every couple of weeks which had been my life for a number of years until we shut down our little store.
I think before we had the Obama Care shit our health system was working and could have been improved a bit if the government could have stepped in and taken control of the run a way pharmacetical stuff and the corporate hospitals which should never have been allowed to take root, lots of places bought up with borrowed money working hard to pleas investors was not the right way to run health care. I am too old, in my 80’s, and not smart enough to know how to fix it but we kind of need some adults in charge to turn this big mess around and take care of most all the folks who want to work, start families and live a decent life.
I am about to get my third glass of wine and I reckon that’s enough about this.
I kept thinking through the whole video that the DSA was always communist, but they couldn’t say it. Just like if you scratch a true blue Democrat a communist bleeds. That guy just didn’t know who he was supporting. They have been emboldened. He truly wasn’t one of them, and yes, he proved it at the end.

Bingo. Far more than politicians, far more than “community organizers” and far more than billionaire donors, academia bears the largest responsibility for where America now finds itself. Treason started in the colleges and universities.

The relatively sudden change from European socialist goals to support for America’s ‘evisceration’ he traces back to when the democrat party derailed Sanders’ candidacy in 2015. All the dem’s young, many by then radicalized since middle school, looked around for an alternative to the democrats that they could use to take over the democrat party. So at this point, its not enough for DSA candidates to lose elections.
As those ‘academics’ and ‘school indoctrinators’ will continue to poison young minds. Given mass media collusion, the percentage of young voters, voting for their economic and cultural enslavement is very likely to continue to grow.
So this has now become a fight for America’s very survival. Fed. statues addressing sedition and treason are in grave need of revision. The US Constitution is not a suicide pact.

She lost a bit of credibility when she brought up Tucker Carlson and his coffee klatch of loons as a foil to the spoiled brat DSA revolutionaries; those nit wits that are too good to make a new career beyond what they think is owed to them because of their prestigious advanced degree/credential (and student debt).
They chose badly and don’t realize it.

Well, “huxley” was a leftist and now is not. There are others we read about who also see the light. People who observe and think instead of just repeating slogans are more likely to leave the lunatics behind.
Not much I didn’t know or could guess. But I think I am ip more of current politics than most.
