Fauci and the Fifth — 20 Comments

  1. Incrimination has nothing to do with it. Legally he’s free as a bird. Brass tacks this is about the people never knowing how truly insidious, coordinated, and classified this was. ‘Not seeing how the sausage got made’ doesn’t do it justice.

People might guess, but humanity must not be allowed to receive corroborating evidence that proves their intuition: the globe was attacked with a bio-weapon, and our own country played a part.

  2. Considering how much they swear by appearances I’m surprised he went.on.

  3. I don’t see how an Act of Congress, much less a Committee grant of immunity, can give blanket immunity to crimes as determined by the various states.

  4. Try the Federalist Papers to see if Congress (a creature created by the States) can grant immunity from state prosecution. With mine in storage, I’d guess no.

But the thing to do, is everyone who paid a dollar for Fauci’s fraudulent words is to sue him. Treble damages will bankrupt him right quick.

  5. My prediction: nothing at all will happen to Fauci; he will not go to jail, he will never spill the beans regardless of any immunity offered, he will keep his wealth and his pension ( his pension courtesy of the taxpayers).
He will be free as a bird.

Nothing new about this; all those that concocted the Trump -Russia hoax are doing just fine. Nothing for them to worry about. They are free as birds.

As for Jack Smith, the rogue prosecutor. He too will walk .

Yep, govt employees; Once you achieve a high position within the govt., you are free to do whatever you choose and not have to worry about any repercussions .

And all those Biden aides who operated the auto-pen device without Biden’s knowledge ; they too have nothing to worry about.

  6. Fauci needs to be taken down at least monetary. He won’t see the prison he deserves because the Deep State will protect their front man .
States AG have to be the only way to get his weath he has gained from human misery.

  7. I doubt history will be kind to Fauci. I’m not betting there is an orange jumpsuit in his future, but considering how vain he is that is some punishment.

FWIW, they do have the goods on John Bolton. He has pled guilty to a felony. He will be sentenced in late October. He could get five years in prison. We’ll see about that, but there is a $2.25 mil penalty plus forfeiture of his retirement pay and pension.

Another case of an ego out of control.

  8. JohnTyler is correct. Just another of the very long list of no justice for the gilded.

And they wonder why many of us are so cynical.

  9. just curious which crime do you think hes actually committed. I dont doubt hes a scheming liar etc , but criminally not sure what he would be liable for . maybe the perjury or misleading congress. but those are prob applicable to everyone who testifies before congress.

  10. Fauci’s mendacious behavior has done more to alert a sleeping public to what the Federal Gov had/has become than perhaps any other bureaucrat.

  11. “Perhaps, however, it can give immunity for anything said during a Congressional investigation, even if a state decides to prosecute?”

IANAL, but my understanding is there’s something called “use immunity,” which is what you’re describing. You probably know that, but are asking whether Congress can offer it. I think the answer is yes, but maybe someone else here knows for sure.

I’m not persuaded Fauci has that much useful information to reveal other than his own duplicity, which we are already well aware of. Nor am I convinced that even with immunity he won’t find a way to bob and weave around tough questions.

  12. Fauci gets (immunity) but never gives. He was the most highly paid bureaucrat in the entire Federal bureaucracy at $400K+ per year, accomplished nothing of value, lives in a $2 mill house in DC. was never a physician despite his degree, took only a ! year internship in 1968, got no further medical training. I got 8 years of that. He is a categorical swine and reflects awfully as a nominal member of my profession. He is the essence of the Democratic Party.

You raise an interesting historical point. It might seem the constitutional convention was a “congress” of sorts, while the the actual ratifying conventions were separate from any state legislature. They were conventions with the same(?) or different reps as in their legislatures. But thereby, I think they are really citizen conventions that therefore established the congress etc.
The whole We the People aspect. The DOI is a declaration by the states (or colonies) asserting independence, but the Constitution is somewhat different [in my current view].

So perhaps the original 13 states, or the citizens thereof, created the national government, but then that government created all of the subsequent territories and states thereafter. Makes the consideration of federalism perhaps not quite as straight forward as we sometimes like to think??

  14. Matt Taibbi weighs in on this, “The Fauci Legend Will Not Die!”, from Racket News. He examines Mother Jones DANGEROUS denial of the smoking gun evidence against Fauci and his Team. https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/4390005/posts

Perhaps his associate David Morens will lend weight to this new evidence from Fauci’s diary entries.

  15. TJ:

Sadly it is true. Democrats have gone all-in to dismiss the Fauci investigation as a show trial and witch hunt with zero examination of the evidence.

In the short-term I don’t see this changing.

  16. so basically more grandstanding from our republican congress. Hes pardoned for lying to congress, and hes just pleading the 5th now. So not getting anything. trying to get him to lie again is just lame. either give him immunity for current testimony so he can testify about his duplicity, and try to actually do a serious commission on the covid response or find something better to do. This isnt winning any undecided voters. but covid amnesty was given during the 2024 primaries. trying to relitigate it for political reasons is stupidity.

  17. “Political reasons”?
Or might that be…repairing—healing?—or PROTECTING the republic…?

‘….THEY LOCKED DOWN THE COUNTRY SO THEY COULD HAVE THEIR COLOR REVOLUTION: “Fauci did his bit, played his part, and was lavishly rewarded by the press”: So how did a virus with a ~.02%-.04% mortality rate become 24/7 headline news? It became battle prep for the 2020 election steal.’—

  18. Fauci’s career is a manifestation of a scrum of policy failures as well as cultural decay. He’s 85 years old and has cheated the hangman. Right now, we need to address the policy failures. (Which will happen, I’m sure, the 7th of Never).
