The murder of Margaret Swan — 10 Comments

  1. I would like to know where her family members stood on defund the police. How many times did they talk about too many young black men in prison. This guy didn’t just start stabbing out of nowhere. He is almost certainly a know problem.

This may seem heartless to people that just lost a family member but it is just me wondering if they care when it is someone else’s family.

  2. martin:

There’s no information on that, but if I had to guess I’d say they did not support it. My recollection is that although there certainly were black people who supported it, the main support was young white woke “progressives” and black leftist politicians rather than the bulk of black voters.

  3. This will be buried. It cannot be used the generate income from the grievance machine.

  4. May Margaret Swan rest in peace. While some victims of the homeless, gang, and drug epidemic are white, the neighborhoods and families far more often affected are black.

I note also that I read about this in detail on conservative media. Legacy outlets, not so much.

  5. @martin: I would like to know where her family members stood on defund the police.

I side with neo here. As I recall, blacks on the firing line of such violence want more police protection not less.

They may, and it would be the rational thing to want. But do they vote accordingly or do they vote for the person who is doing all the usual stuff….plus as some baggage, defunding the police?

  7. “ripping local officials over the temporary decision to allow free access to MARTA during systemwide renovations for the FIFA World Cup.”

Before the renovations ever started and the faregates were operating, charities in the Atlanta area were giving “homeless” people MARTA passes to get them into the train stations for shelter. There were bums and crazy people everywhere in the system way before these renovations started.

I get that the family is looking for someone to blame, but the blame belongs on the nutball who did the deed and the culture that lets crazy people wander around freely and do things like this.

Would the victim have been any less dead had he stabbed her in a public park or on a public street rather than on a MARTA train? He’d have had a lot better chance of getting away.

  8. Eggs and omelettes for progress (the revolution)! For the greater good! Ends justify the means (all and any)! (Sarc x 11)
