Strategic patience is hard, and it isn’t always satisfying. But time is on the side of the U.S. and its allies. Reaching no deal is fine. Reaching a bad deal isn’t.
This is a new day in the Middle East, though it isn’t one without clouds. No American president has had a better chance to build a different and more stable region. It may just take a little more time.

…and the wave of the future (if the Democrats get the power they crave)?
37 years on, no regime change in China, no foreseeable prospect of any.
But—what is essentially—regime-change in the Western democracies…including the US, had it not been for Trump’s election in 2024—which means it can still occur…
(Funny how that seems to have happened…)

Disturbing article on the “baked-in” issues that make Medicare/Medicaid ripe for tremendous levels of grift:
It’s interesting how little jeans have evolved over time. Indigo denim, rivets, stitching, that little pocket to hold watches that no one owns anymore — other than softer and/or stretchy fabric and a zipper fly, they’re extremely similar to the Italian design that Levi Strauss adapted for gold miners in the 1850s.
That’s a pill picket now
Same as the slot pocket in front pocket of bib overalls with the little button hole in the bib for the toggle on the chain. And slots for pencils. I have actually worn a pocket watch with bibs for fun. My everyday wear are Key brand bibs. I was disappointed when Key changed from button fly to zipper. Hickory stripes mostly.
It’s a watch pocket, remnant of the days when pocket watches were common.
@Watt re remaining CA ballots to be counted.
That works out to 3 million ballots that have not been counted. The battle now shifts to ballot count monitoring to make sure that the county registrars are not cheating. And more importantly 300,000 ballots will be rejected due to signature problems. The Democrats are curing their ballots but the worthless California GOP is not doing anything. Reform California has picked up the slack.
Edit. And in breaking news
President Trump has ordered the Los Angeles US Attorney, Bill Essayli, to investigate possible cheating in the California election. Will be interesting to see how the Democrats and their media spin it.
I have one of extreme importance and I am relying on the followers of Neo’s blog to provide an answer:
are Thomas’ English Muffins consumed in the UK??
Fun question! Thomas’ English Muffins are an American brand — they aren’t sold in England, except maybe at U.S. import specialty stores. But you can buy airier versions at many stores and bakeries there (they’re just called “muffins,” or sometimes “breakfast muffins” or “toasting muffins”). You can also buy crumpets — they’re different from muffins in that the bumpy “nooks and crannies” surface is on the outer top, so you don’t have to slice them open.
John Tyler, I just looked them up. It appears to be an American brand.

My brother retired as an electronics engineer at Lockheed and became an engineer of vintage steam engines at the Colorado Railroad Museum. I’m not sure which brand of overalls he uses, but the pockets are utilized including a pocket watch he always has with him while there.
Gawrsh. I’ve been using it as my flash drive pocket all these years.
Bob Wilson,
I have considered donating to Reform California, which has worthy goals, but its Wiki page raises doubts. It mentions allegations that the organization didn’t do some things it had claimed, and was channeling its funds into its founder’s own political campaign.
The ones on LL Bean jeans are large enough for a small pocket knife.
Quite handy.
Bob Wilson: “President Trump has ordered the Los Angeles US Attorney, Bill Essayli, to investigate possible cheating in the California election. Will be interesting to see how the Democrats and their media spin it.”
They will spin it as “insurrection”, while they are encouraging violent riots against federal law enforcement (ICE).
Selfy – don’t forget that Wikipedia is about as unbiased as the NYT or WaPoo.
It’s called a FOB pocket. Someone above.said watches were there(he’s correct).
It was commonly called a ‘watch pocket’ in my young days through the 1940s and 50s. So it’s no mystery.
Us OLD GUYs knew what it was without watching the video.
I love that little pocket. And yes, it used to be a pill pocket, but now it’s a dog training treat pocket.
Selfy, I consider donations to reformCalifornia as a political donation. I agree with FOAF that Wikipedia is leftist. You will get a less biased view by consulting the Grok AI
Wiki is a key outpost in the leftist hive mind network.

FOAF, Bob Wilson, and huxley:
Thanks for your comments. I’m well aware of Wiki’s Democrat bias, but they do provide references. Their criticisms of Reform California were mostly from the Voice of San Diego website. One was from 2021 and one from last month: https://voiceofsandiego.org/2026/05/18/state-republican-party-reprimands-demaio/
As a non-Californian, I’m having trouble understanding the state’s politics, so maybe I should stay out of them. I know Reform California is a political organization, nothing wrong with that, but the disclaimer about donations going to Carl DeMaio’s political fund is off-putting.
I tried Grok before it required registration, and was disappointed by its politically correct response. I’m unwilling to register to use it.
I guarantee that Democrats don’t care if you don’t like how they run elections. They only care about power. Absolute power. They are the ones we have been waiting for don’t you know that?
Yes, she’s amazing.
