How many people like this were let in during the Biden years?
ICE has been busy lately:
Eleven Iranian nationals have been arrested in the last 48 hours by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents across eight different states and nine cities, according to CBS News. This development comes in the wake of a nationwide security alert issued after the U.S. carried out a strike on Iranian nuclear facilities this past weekend. …
One of the individuals arrested is Mehran Makari Saheli, who is a former member of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). ICE arrested Saheli at his home in Minnesota where he “admitted connections to Hezbollah,” an Iranian-funded terrorist organization.
That’s one. You can find more of those arrested, along with their histories, here.
As for the question of how many more with similar life stories might be roaming around the US, we don’t know. ICE and DHS seem to know more than I’d previously thought they did, however.
That said, I have to add that I know a number of Iranian immigrants to this country and they all are very much opposed to the current Iranian regime. In fact, they had to flee the country to avoid imprisonment or worse. They came a few years prior to the Biden administration, however, and I believe the basis was political asylum – which in their cases, was a bona fide claim.

Neo wrote: “I have to add that I know a number of Iranian immigrants to this country and they all are very much opposed to the current Iranian regime.”
The problem with your point here is that anyone who might have been sent here clandestinely for nefarious purposes would take this same position. “I am opposed to the Iranian regime.” I am not satisfied with such a statement. I hope our security services will not be satisfied either without further vetting.
F:
These particular people are bona fide. I know them very well, and I know their histories. The vast majority of Iranians in the US came here legally many years ago. New arrivals and certainly people who came here illegally may have a very different makeup.
A young friend, an Iranian immigrant, has a green card and has accelerated the process to ask for citizenship. She opposes the radical regime, and worries about her mother and sister still living in Iran.
The Young Men cohort are the dangerous ones. Generally
If the Iranian says they are from Persia, then they are opposed to what is happening there.
Ah yes, “the Biden years”…
In any event, couldn’t happen to a

Like neo and Kate I have an Iranian friend who is definitely opposed to the regime and was a huge Trump supporter prior to this past week. Now he’s even more of a fan.
Shirehome: Regarding your comment about those who consider themselves Persian. About thirty years ago, I was talking with an older man about old stories and legends (Sohrab and Rustum) and said that I wished I knew more about Persian material “or perhaps I should say Iranian.” He responded: “Those who call themselves Iranians, they are the assassins of Persian culture!” I decided I need not ask why he was living in Florida.
OTOH, people like THIS were let in LEGALLY…and elevated to the very highest levels of American government…

Or perhaps more properly a Persian.
