  1. More evidence that the Democrats stole the 2020 election.

FBI delivers intel to Congress on alleged Chinese plot to interfere in 2020 election

FBI Director Kash Patel forked over a trove of documents to Congress detailing an alleged Chinese campaign to meddle in the 2020 election that involved thousands of bogus US driver’s licenses.

Precise details about the alleged effort are murky, but a confidential source alleged the Chinese planned to use those licenses for thousands of mail-in votes to benefit former Vice President Joe Biden, a spokesperson for the FBI honcho explained to The Post.

Authorities had caught wind of the alleged plot around August 2020, but intelligence reports on it were recalled for “reasons that aren’t fully clear”, the spokesperson added.

Not clear?? Christopher Wray is thoroughly corrupt and should be charged,

  2. If you didn’t watch the Minnesota Federal District Court press conference, or read the complaint itself, a couple items stand out. Boelter stopped at the residences of two other Dem state legislators between the two shootings. No one was home at the first of these. At the second, while sitting in his fake police car, Boelter was encountered by a New Hope police officer in a squad car, sent on a “wellness-check” at that residence. The officer apparently mistook him for police—not yet knowing, it seems, that the shooter was posing as police. Boelter ignored the real officer, just staring straight ahead with his window closed when the officer tried to converse with him. Boelter just drove off after the officer parked there on the street.

Somehow, Boelter had an hour to find his way to the Hortman residence and gain entry before police showed up for a wellness-check there. It seems he did not shoot the Hortmans until fleeing the scene through the house. Boelter left a lot of his disguise, and his 9mm Beretta, in the backyard as he fled. From that moment on, thanks to the police, he seems to have ceased his relentless murder spree and concentrated on escape.

His motive is clearly opposition to what the Dem politicians have been accomplishing here in MN. I too am opposed to all of that. This appalling act, however, was execrable from any humane, or democratic, or Christian, or any sane perspective.

  3. Re: No Kings protests

Not that I assume anyone here is terribly concerned. I followed the protests. I even set ChatGPT loose on the statistics.

The national news was that five million+ people participated. However, that number was supplied by protest organizers

The city-by-city numbers, which were usually provided in vague multiples of tens: “hundreds”, “thousands” and “tens of thousands”. Which were again supplied by protest organizers.

I imagine the proper total number is in the hundreds of thousands, possibly close to a million. But not enough to move any needle. “No Kings” was forgotten almost immediately.

I think the top organizers hoped for widespread violent protests, sparked by the LA riots. But they misjudged the situation.

His motive is as clear as mud!

  5. Definitely OT territory….

Here’s Andy Edwards, prog curmudgeon YouTuber, imagining a conversation between Roger Waters and David Gilmour about a Pink Floyd reunion. (Waters and Gilmour have hated each other for ages.)

Waters remarks that it would be like Trump and Elon Musk getting back together. Then they fall to squabbling about which one gets to be Musk in that metaphor, since neither wants to be Trump. Only a minute or so long.

Hilarious, though for rather specialized tastes.

  6. Re: Flower image

I’m terrible with plants, flowers and trees. So I uploaded the jpg for ChatGPT to suss out:
    __________________________________

The flower in the photo is a peony (Paeonia), specifically a type of double or semi-double peony with large, lush, layered petals. The white petals with touches of pink or red at the center are characteristic of some cultivars, such as Paeonia lactiflora ‘Festiva Maxima’ or similar varieties.

    Peonies are known for:
    * Large, fragrant blooms
    * Blooming in late spring to early summer
    * Glossy green foliage that remains attractive after flowering

Checking wikipedia it seems possible, but there are quite a lot of peony varieties.

  7. O Panthers! O Reinhart! O Panthers!

Don’t be mean-taunting the 51st State. Play nice.

  8. That is definitely Festiva Maxima, the most common peony, but still quite beautiful and fragrant.
