Side bars to both will give a lot more music for the day’s celebration.
The “Hallelujah Chorus” is especially featured.

May the blessings of the Resurrection of Christ be upon you and your families today and always!

  2. Thank you Neo!

May God bless you, the Jewish people, and the tiny democratic State of Israel.

  3. Though I read this blog daily, deeply appreciate the writing and the comments, but say nothing, having fully absorbed Proverbs 17:28, I will break silence on this Easter Sunday and remark that it has taken me 77 years to attain a fleeting unity with God. It comes and goes – comforting when it’s “on” and bleak when it’s “off.” From my old man’s chair I’ll add, for those who are young and stuck with that flat emptiness; take heart and persevere. The door, if you keep knocking, will finally open. Of course, that’s one tragedy of war, that it eats the young long before they even begin to knock; before they acknowledge their transgressions, feel regret over those they trampled, and seek forgiveness.

  4. The Lord is risen indeed! A blessed Easter to all believers here. So nice to be celebrating, East and West, together.

  5. Wishes for a very happy Easter.

(And that is one cute bunny…gazing resolutely ahead…towards an uncharted future…)

  6. Thank you Neo and all. My husband has been sick with a bad cold since Friday but so many outstanding resources to join in worship from home. A highlight, The Stations of the Cross from the Coliseum. Very beautiful and moving. We watched the St. Monica’s Easter Vigil–very lively. Last 2 songs, outstanding..and the flowers! Our go-to when home is the Mass from St. Joseph’s Cathedral in Sioux Falls. They never disappoint. I do not exaggerate when I state that we would have moved there to live among sane people during the shutdown, excepting all our children and grands are here.

  7. A while back they mentioned at church that a number of people wished to be baptized on easter. At church today they were doing two baptisms at once. The preacher would introduce the two people being baptized, tell a bit about their individual faith journey – he was using note cards- then he would ask a question like ” Are you being baptized because Jesus is Lord of your life? ” Then both persons would answer and then the pastor and one other staff would baptize the two simultaneously. Then the next two would come down into the water and the cycle would repeat. And then another cycle. A number of partial families like two kids or a mother and a child. I wish I would have kept count. It was a beautiful thing. Of course, as is custom in that church , people clap as they come up out of the water.
