Boris Johnson on Trump’s foreign policy — 17 Comments

  1. While the left parrots all the talking points, it’s hard to see how an actual thinking person could consider their governance in any way positive. The bluest states and cities are holes of crime, poverty and drug use and are hemorrhaging people. (Voting with your feet has always irritated the left). Their foreign policy is a fantasy world. It really comes down to class: they think they’re better and entitled to rule.

  2. Iran was about a year+ from developing a nuclear weapon when Trump came into office, and within months when he left office.

Axis of Resistance was strong when Trump came into office, and was still strong when he left office.

Assassinating Qasem Soleimani didn’t slow Iran down one bit.

Trump has claimed that no Terrorist Attacks occurred during his time in office:
    • 2017 New York City terrorist attack by Saipov.
    • 2019 Naval Air Station in Florida terrorist attack by Alshamrani.
    • Cesar Sayoc mailed/send pipe bombs to DEMs & donors – plead guilty to a bunch of felonies “including using weapons of mass destruction in an attempted domestic terrorist attack.”

Those are just the ones in America during his time in office.
    • So many terrorist attacks in Iraq that the embassy in Baghdad was almost closed…
    • Houthi attacks increased during Trump’s time in office.

Maybe Boris Johnson’s has drug issues and doesn’t remember Trump being impeached for asking Zelenskyy ‘n Ukraine to rat out his political opponent Joe Biden.

    Trump was a disaster…

  3. Karmi parrots the MSM, especially the NY Times.
    jvermeer has it right!
I am getting sick and tired of my ignorant, Democrat fellow Americans.
It will come to a 2nd secession; wash those Yankees ( not the ML ballteam!) right out of my hair! (Thx to R and H!)

  4. The British always understate things so “kind of demonized him” is exactly what one should expect. That way, any thinking person will respond that “No, they totally demonized Trump”, and the speaker/author gets his point made twice. Similar to ‘damned by faint praise”. The Brits are quite good in these matters.

  5. “While the left parrots all the talking points..”

Constantly and forever. Anyone noticed the latest? Started with KJP 2 days ago with Peter Doocy with her saying his question was “misinformation.” Now, they are all saying the word. It’s become the replacement for “racism”.

    They all are such sheep.

  6. And when it comes to The Great Orange Whale the humble Kermit baahs with the rest of the Dem flock.

Red Sox fans might beg to differ. 🙂

The problem with secession is that the divisions are not easily done today . New York and Texas were easily separated geographically and politically in 1861. Not so easy today. Houston, Dallas, and Austin are Demo enclaves in a Republican state. Ditto upstate NY versus NYC.

  8. Gringo et al.–
I did not say it was easy, but I see no solution other than secession. Yes, the TX big cities are a problem, but they are minority conservative, with leftists getting all the voice, except for Houston, awash in Hispanics.

  9. What about the nukes? Explain how any break up of the USA the nukes are dealt with.

  10. I have neighbors, family members, people I encounter all the time to whom none of this matters at all. All they can manage is to hiss that Trump is the embodiment of evil, a corrupt human being who cares about no one but himself and is phenomenally dangerous. It’s not possible to engage them in a discussion of why they believe this of what they think is wrong with his objective record. They’ll tell me to my face that everything was awful under Trump and the economy is booming now and law and order is doing great, though GOP troglodytes refuse to see it. “Everyone knows” Trump was an agent of chaos, a racist, a rapist, a con man, an illiterate bumpkin, a creature cruelly bent on denying the vote to anyone with brown skin, and a demon bent on filling the Supreme Court with horrible people who want to force women to reproduce like livestock. They won’t claim Harris has any good points, but she’s not Trump.

  11. Generally speaking, the left thinks we should not be involved in wars. At least the kind of wars which defend us against our enemies.
So, all of a sudden, they hate the guy who didn’t have any wars.

  12. This is the first time I’ve seen this.

Look at the video linked below, in which lawyers for Trump absolutely destroy the Democrat’s Impeachment case against Trump, by giving several concrete examples of how they very clearly manipulated video “evidence.”*

  13. GC™ of the R-herd of sheeple bleaters is oblivious that the D-herd of sheeple bleaters isn’t a flockity-flock while quixotically not peeping the wolfy howler lurking in the woolly chaos!

  14. The humble Kermit finds that bleating like a Dem sheep isn’t convincing anyone.

Trump trolling isn’t easy in some places.

GC™ is the best humble Kermit can come up with? Not even High School level. Remedial troll tutoring may be needed, probablly available on line, Kermit. Self improvement!

  15. @ Snow > Look at the video linked below, in which lawyers for Trump absolutely destroy the Democrat’s Impeachment case against Trump, by giving several concrete examples of how they very clearly manipulated video “evidence.”

I was familiar with most of the lawyer’s examples, as they have shown up on Neo’s blog and elsewhere over the last 8 (!!) years.
And yet, the Democrats keep putting out charges against Trump that have been conclusively refuted time after time after time.
They just ignore the truth and bring them out again, almost in the same day.

Of course, they know that their core audience never sees the refutations, or does not believe them if they do (maybe they think the full context videos are “cheap fakes”?)

This makes trying to beat back their propaganda a never-ending battle.
(Note to Neo’s Feds: that’s called a “metaphor,” not something to be taken literally.)

I was pondering that perverse situation last night, wondering what might be even remotely similar (a “parable,” for the Feds) and decided that it was like playing a series of football games where, after half-time, your goals would be erased, and you couldn’t convince the refs to put them back.

Add to that the actual reality where Trump’s goals are not only erased, but the referee adds extra points to the other side!
(Recent CBS interviews come to mind. I think that qualifies as a “simile.”)

And that’s in addition to calling non-existent fouls on Trump’s side and ignoring those of the other team.

Who would trust any game statistics if that happened through-out the football season?
And yet, that is what is happening in the Political League.

  16. AesopFan: “(Recent CBS interviews come to mind. I think that qualifies as a “simile.”)”
And a simile that also brings a smile. 🙂
