  1. I like the Huzzah! I always thought “the bully pulpit” referred to a platform for gentle intimidation or browbeating, until someone explained that it meant the other usage for bully. As in “bully for you,” or “the huzzah pulpit.”

  2. Congrats on the move..I’m sure you are glad that the major part is finished. BTW, I like the apple picture.

  3. I just this morning left my first-ever comment on your site, because I appreciate the sensible and civil posts and discussion here. And then my comment disappeared forever. Was it something I said?

  4. Kate:

    🙂

You can try repeating it here.

I may try to import some of the newer comments over to here, too, and not just the posts. But probably not.

  5. Thanks, Neo. The comment was that Mueller will have a hard time getting Manafort to “flip” on Trump, since there seems to be no substance to the charges that Trump or the campaign worked with the Russians to undermine the election. There’s nothing there to flip.

  6. Kate:

Yes, but there’s always lying. It wouldn’t be the first time such a thing has happened. Jailhouse snitches are renowned for it.

  7. Congrats, Neo. Sounds like it’s been a long, hard slog for you.

Redirect worked. New URL worked. Now let’s see if the comments work…

    Eureka!

  8. John Guilfoyle:

A nice surprise for me, too. I didn’t know it was going to happen today till I went to my sitemeter and saw that it had.

  9. Nice! Works just fine and looks great on my Android phone. Happy housewarming!

  10. Mrs Whatsit…great housewarming reminder, but now I feel bad for not bringing a present! :-/

  11. And what’s even better is that the RSS feed is working. I have both the old and new RSS info and will follow both for awhile…

  12. Neo: The lie would have to be in some sort substantiated. I rather doubt it could be, although of course we’d have to wait and see.

  13. Kate:

People are sometimes convicted on nothing more than the testimony of a jailhouse snitch or snitches. It happens.

  14. I noticed the switch in my RSS reader late morning via some “reposts” back to about 7/18; those suggested that something was up. So, went to the legacy site, found the redirect, and am now here. Great to see that it’s now functional.

This community of commenters is truly unique; I may occasionally disagree with something, but I rarely find them disagreeable. That keeps me hopeful. So, may everyone find their way here…

  15. Not to be too crass—but for those wondering what to get as a housewarming gift, I’ll be asking for donations soon.

Then again, perhaps that was too crass.

  16. It is 5 days after the Saturday lunar “eclipse”, Neo.

Usually things are in turmoil and won’t work 3 days after and before an eclipse, especially one this powerful with retrograde transits.

This is why I said that I didn’t expect it to work back then. People are also going through trials, turmoil, divorces, emotional conflicts, and etc. It’s all in the sky people. Watch the sky.

  17. *looks around*

I like what you’ve done with the new place. All the hard work paid off.

BTW, I like the apple picture. How would we recognize you with out it? 😉

  18. The new appearance makes it easier for me (with my compromised eyesight) to read. Now your blog is even better. Great work. Congratulations.

  19. Please keep the green apple photo! It’s very distinctive. And I loved that the bookmark for your previous site had a green apple, making it easy to spot.

  20. Congratulations, New! (That is not a typo.) I find it easier to read than the older version, and I like that you’ve kept the apple photo. And you remain one of my very first visits every morning.

  21. Like other posters, i also find the new mobile template more legible.
    Happy landing!

  22. I am probably the only person who finds the type too large. My eyes and/or head have to move to read it now. I find myself backing up in my chair at the computer.

  23. redbud:

You can customize the font size, can’t you, and make it smaller?

I also am planning to have the web developer make the line length a bit shorter. Just a bit, though. Perhaps that will help, too.
