The two parties right now are very different, as are the issues ripping them apart—although populism is part of the division in each party. But in terms of discord and internal civil war brewing, they resemble each other more than they have at any time in my memory.
The political parties are weaker than ever, in large part because we now have the ability to bypass them.

There’s more than merely a Third Party in America, I think there’s more than 2, more than 3, more than 4 actually.
I suspect that many of Sander’s supporters will sit out the election. While every terrorist attack increases Trump’s support.

The web has made info that would never pass the msm filter readily available. (Conversely, it also enables a great deal of whacko conspiracy theories to flourish.) And contributes to low trust in the msm. As far as fractures in society are concerned, I agree there are more than 4 factions or divisions in the body politic.

As a digital friend, I caution that it is a bit early to get excited about djt’s chances come November. 😉 But I am willing to concede he has more of a chance than I assumed a few weeks ago.
Nobody can even guarantee that Trum makes it to DC with his head attached to his shoulders, with or without the Throne of the USA Kingdom.
oh but the SS protects Trum right. The same SS Hussei packed with Nation of Islam black boys and the usual Black Panthers… yea, sure. “Protection for life” might as well mean “they’ll be hostages for life”.

Not certain I see the bright side here.
If the “Democrat Party” is in crisis, then so what? The DP is merely the public figurehead for Marxism, and their only conflicts being over the tactics and speed with which they take us to 1984, which party apparatchiks will be in charge, and who will have the most billions once everyone is made “equal”.
Their overarching goals remain the same, and whatever happens to their “party”, they’ll still have the exact same ideologically unified, massive army in charge of the media, education, the justice/legal systems, technology, entertainment, the culture and the bureaucracy, all marching in the same general direction – the hive, in essence.
The non-left is much more fractured and akin to the proverbial herd of cats, driven by a multiplicity of ideals, values and goals. Most would rather just be left alone to live their lives and raise their families.
That’s what Eric doesn’t get with all the talk about “activism”. The left is populated almost exclusively by natural activists, tens of millions of them leeching off the taxes of the productive to enable them to actively push their ideology full-time.
They’ve been doing this for a century, and it’s really too late to stop them now, even if we could assemble a large group of powerful conservative activists, at least without massive bloodshed.
Even if Cruz had won the nomination and the election, there are thousands of very large holes in the levee, and he and his administration would have only a very limited number of fingers to plug them with.
In my opinion, our generation will be the one that bears witness to the death of freedom and the start of a long, dark period, short of an apocalypse that brings the death of everything.

Indeed, that is true. It is also why people who have begun to see the true nature of the Left’s power, are so desperate they’ll even accept loving Trum as the cost for salvation.

Hrm, I would recommend looking outside the political parties for this resource. Anti Leftists can be activists. Christians, after all, did something far more challenging and for far longer than the Left has been existence. Only Islam compares in that historical world scale.
And by Christians, I don’t mean Papists or other Christian heretics like Westboro Baptists… I mean people still true to 1st AD Christendom. By evidence of their conversion successes in Africa and Muslim populated areas.
