Obama reacts as usual—courting our enemies while downplaying his reaction to terrorism:
Obama remains inert, unmoved, displaying a neglect and insouciance that borders on denial. His nonreaction to the Belgian massacre ”” his 34-minute speech in Havana devoted 51 seconds to Brussels ”” left the world as stunned as it was after the Paris massacre, when Obama did nothing. Worse, at his now notorious November news conference in Turkey, his only show of passion regarding Paris was to berate Islamophobes.
I have respect for Charles Krauthammer, but his essays oftimes veer into a display of naivete.

I truly believe that Obama cannot admit error, especially in this area. It would cast doubt on his worldview, and therefore on himself, and that cannot be allowed. I wonder whether, if he were forced to face the fact that his worldview is flawed and therefore he has been a failure in many things, he would snap. He works so hard at the passionlessness – I wonder whether there are raging cauldrons of rage underneath that he must defend and deny.
What we are seeing is the “real” Obama. He’s reluctant to say anything about terrorism since almost all of terrorism is done by muslims. When he does it’s a few words of “dealing with terrorist is our top priority.”
How does he deal with them? Mostly words. Words can be powerful in some situations. Dealing with terrorist words are virtually useless.
I have a pretty simple answer: Obama tilts to Islam.
-pulling out of Iraq
-doing the Iran deal
-being anti-Israel
-wanting to close GITMO, freeing its inmates
-Bergdahl, Bergdahl’s parents at the WH
-the Cairo speech
-Libya
-pro-Muslim brotherhood in Egypt
-Ramadan at the White House
-bringing Muslim migrants into the USA
-Not going to Paris after Charlie Hebdo
-doing nothing after Brussels
-his curious insistence on saying “ISIL”
He may well be Muslim.He is clearly pro-Shia. Which is why he didn’t do anything about Syria.
Killing Sunni Muslims with drones is no problem with this thesis; Muslims killing Muslims goes way back. Killing is what they do.

Well for all the people killed and mutilated it certainly is an existential threat. If Iran nukes a city or launches an EMP attack, will that be an existential threat ?
Even the Soviet Union couldn’t eliminate the physical American with a nuke attack so it wasn’t an existential threat either I guess.

So in Obama’s world it’s normal to have any number of Westerners murdered and mutilated by Islamic terrorists.

This is something for all the “NoTrump” crowd to keep in mind. Hillary has been completely chummy with the Muslim Brotherhood and is complicit in all the losses we have under this administration in the “War on Terror”. I’ve never been a fan of Trump, and am hopeful that somehow he will not be the nominee, but I do not see him as a friend to Islam.

Think Krauthammer fails to see what has become obvious: Obama doesn’t care.
Blame it on narcissism, or empathy for the Muslim worldview, or whatever other root cause has been floated for his aloofness in a crisis, but I just don’t think Obama gets all that upset when people die. There have been enough examples where people dying was the goal, or the best outcome for his political pursuits, to cement this for me, such as Fast & Furious (gun control), Benghazi (hide that AQ not on the run, etc.), increased military casualties in Iraq & Afghanistan (justifying pulling out). Since there’s really nothing politically in it for him, why even pretend to care about of the Brussels attacks?
Has the White House issued a statement yet about the Americans killed and injured in Brussels?
Obama’s behavior thus far in all this has been simply disgraceful.
