Latest terrorist attack in Israel kills four rabbis
Three of the dead are Americans (one with Boston ties), and one is British. All had dual citizenship.
According to police, the two suspected Palestinian terrorists, armed with a gun and axes, attacked worshipers after entering the “Kehilat Yaakov” synagogue on Agasi Street in the capital’s Har Nof neighborhood. Two police officers quickly arrived to the scene and exchanged fire with the suspects, killing them.
Palestinian sources reported that the two suspects from the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Jabel Mukabaer were cousins.
So, the perpetrators were local Palestinians. I wonder whether they targeted these victims because of their nationalities, or whether that was a random occurrence. Note, also, the use of axes as one of the weapons. This may indicate the influence of ISIS’s methods on the terrorist sensibility. The may figure that, the more bloody and grisly the death, the more terror it sows, and the more violence it inspires in those sympathetic to their cause.
There is reporting from several different sources that Muslims are celebrating this attack in Gaza.
Hamas has come out in support of the attack.
I’m looking forward to all the anonymous comments by American Muslims on the internet condemning this attack.
No fear of reprisal when its anonymous, so silence is condoning the attacks.
There was celebration in Palestine.
At some point we are going to have to figure out what to do with them.
Wolla Dalbo,
German TV actually showed pictures of people jumping up and down in the streets. Of course, they also talked about Jewish settlements, and they showed Abbas condemning the attack. They did interview a few Israelis. Overall, they still believe in the peace process.
When Muslims kill innocent Americans or Europeans the left claim they are deranged individuals who do not represent Islam or Muslims in general. The left will have no need to maintain that ruse in this case because the victims are Jews.
Of course if the Palestinians had a state this would have never happened.
The Twitter widget at that Jerusalem Post link shows this tweet — a man who claims to be a journalist for NBC saying that “there are no innocents [in Israel]. They are all terrorists” — and I’ve spent the last fifteen minutes trying to figure out if the guy really works for NBC. I’m inclined to say he doesn’t, but it’s too difficult to tell trolls apart from the real deal nowadays.
(P.S. I initially misread the title of this post as saying “rabbits,” and for a brief moment the first two sentences had me greatly confused. Would have been far preferable to this.)
Thank God Israeli cops are better shots and more aggressive than those in Mumbai, or Kenya, or …
IS-ISIS-ISIL are not the instigators of a peculiarly bloody and grisly praxis; that had been the work of Islam proper and is in keeping with Islam’s tenets. The lopping off of heads and limbs, the stoning, the commands —
Cast terror in the hearts, smite the neck and cut fingertips of unbelievers->VIII.12
Smite the neck of unbelievers->XLVII.4
The punishment… is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides -5:33
– are unreservedly Islamic — book and verse — Qur’an and Hadith. If IS-ISIS-ISIL are fundamentalists it is because Islam is fundamentally, not just martial, but brutal, sadistic, and bloodthirsty.
“So, the perpetrators were local Palestinians. I wonder whether they targeted these victims because of their nationalities, or whether that was a random occurrence. “ neo
There was nothing ‘random’ about this, it was planned. I realized that when another commenter over at PJ Media observed; “Really, they were lone wolves acting without orders? How did the posters of the two murderers show up all over Gaza within hours of the crime? I’ve seen news reports of Palestinians carrying pictures of the two all morning.”
The Muslims are directed by the Koran to kill, conquer or convert unbelievers.

Well, if they hadn’t stole their land…
If the area was occupied by Arabs before, haven’t they reconquered it? Ya know, like Spain, Portugal and The Balkans?
rechill,
It is historically untrue to accuse the Jews of having ‘stolen the land’. I’m not a historian but my understanding is that;
In 1914, the Ottoman Empire ruled that part of the world and had done so for hundreds of years. They lost in WWI and the allies thus acquired dominion over much of the M.E. Under the Ottoman Empire, there had been no national identity, no ‘Palestinians’ in that part of the world.
In 1922, Britain issued the Balfour Declaration in which they divided up ‘Palestine’ granting 10% of the land for Jewish immigration i.e. Israel.
By 1948 Jewish immigration had reached a threshold level, Arab nations prepared to invade and Israel declared its independence. The Arab armies immediately attacked and Israel won. Rather than acknowledge their defeat, Muslims refused to accept it. Here’s why;
The Qur’an proclaims that once land is part of the Ummah, it must permanently remain so forever. As Muhammad claimed that the Qur’an is Allah’s direct words, any Qur’anic assertion is a direct commandment from Allah and thus a theological imperative. Spain and Portugal otherwise known as Andalusia, must also be eternally struggled to be reabsorbed by Muslims.
Muslims still accept the ancient ‘right by way of conquest’ for themselves… but deny that right to the infidel. In the West, this is known as hypocrisy but careful saying so for you risk your neck doing so.
And there was some Dumb reporter on one of the MSM saying that “since all Jews have to serve in the military, all Jews are acceptable targets.”
Do you have to be a dumb blond bimbo airhead to be an anchor on MSM? Apologies to the intelligent women who read this.
Ignoring the Brutality, Savagery and Evil of this attack if this ” You can’t help Stupid” Reporterett, had read and understood the news article, the victims were US or Great Britain citizens not Israeli citizens. So her logic fails on the founditional level.
RIP- Innocents who merely peacefully praying to their God, attacked by crazies that have no humanity. 🙁 🙁
“There was celebration in Palestine.
At some point we are going to have to figure out what to do with them.”
I know what I would like to see done to them,
But I’m sure the God I try to follow would not appreciate my view.
Revenge is mine, and I will repay them in due time, that their foot may slide: the day of destruction is at hand, and the time makes haste to come.
Deuteronomy 32:35
In other news, Obama goes on being Obama:
Listen to him talk about what happened in Jerusalem.
“Obviously, we condemn in the strongest terms these attacks” said so lackadaisically that it didn’t have an ounce of actual emotion in it. It was entirely pro forma. And the rest of what he said, although the words were good, the feeling was entirely absent.
If you’re going to say something important, say it. “We condemn these attacks.” Don’t stick “obviously” in front of it, because then you sound passive and like you’re not making an actual statement of your own. It reminded me of one of those non-apology apologies.
I also just noticed he was relying heavily on his papyroprompter (i.e. piece of paper). He can’t even say something that short and simple without a crutch, without reading it (poorly). Where do these people get the idea he’s an accomplished speaker?
My liberal, UWS, orthodox-ish friends on Facebook are wringing their hands over the gruesome pictures that have been released. They seem to feel it’s a poor decision on the part of the Israelis.
I think the Israelis finally figured out that one of the reasons the P-ian’s were “winning” the propaganda war is their Liberian use of gruesome photos. Although many are staged, they have understood not only “if it bleeds, it leads,” but also the sympathy dead bodies elicit. Me, I don’t need to see the photos. But my sympathy is already with the Israelis.
