Julie London…..Aaaahhhhhhhhh…. When I was starting out in the Fil’um Bidness at Universal I used to see her often as she was working as a regular cast member on her X-husband’s (Jack Webb) TV Series, “Emergency”, with her then husband (can’t remember his name)…. Aaaahhhhhhhh….

Every time I hear this song, I think of what a sad little guy Larry Hart was. It’s his cri de coeur.
I had never heard Carmen McRae’s version before. I am more accustomed to hearing Carmen McRae “talk” through her songs, which is probably the consequence of aging vocal cords. Her version of “My Funny Valentine” is the best I have ever heard Carmen sing.
What a song.
Linda Ronstadt had a strong voice and a great career. Her CD with Nelson Riddle (What’s New) has some of the better classics. Age and health have not gone well for her.
